Guys I need your expert advice.... I saw 2 models of 50" inch led on sale. If you have BDO Credit Card it would cost cheaper. Question, is this worth it???? Is it bang for the buck considering you can pay the unit in 6 or 12 month 0 %
Both unit are full HD the difference is one is smart 3d TV and the other one is just a LED... Hope to get your input... baka kasi meron pa mas mura dito and mas sulit....

Karl kung nagagandahan ka na mismo sa mga options mo, that's the most important thing. So let your own eyes be the judge and then imagine that specific TV in your own living room.

Pero Im sure maganda ang deals sa stores like SnS (dahil nakabili na ako doon talaga, like many other members).

The newer plasmas are brighter vs the older ones. Plus, nothing beats plasma for viewing cable tv, as panny plasmas seem to be more forgiving of cable tv broadcasts. . .

Depends sir on the model. I had a 42X50 and I found it darker than my older PV70, PV8 and UT30.

how about dun sa pinost ko any idea? is it best buy or baka kasi may mas mura mahirap na magsisi sa huli... already called sir vic pero wala sila ngayon 50" na pantapat dito... hehe... though meron 55" KTC nasa 41 pero straight payment yun

However, di ka ba nagtataka na ng mga sinale nila eh mga non-branded units?
Spending, 48K for a freaking Devant???? Okay after 1 year magloko yang TV, may parts ba sila at magagawa yang TV mo agad agad? There are even actual reports here by fellow members na sira na Devant TV nila in less than 1 year.
Eh diba warehouse sale yan, how can you be sure na yang mga yan eh brand new out of the box and not returned by a previous customer or a repaired item. There's always a reason for the sale or mark down of prices (non moving, returned, dead pixel, defect unknown to end user, or simple a bad product, last unit, etc).
Yung LG nga, known brand na pero dreadful after sales sila, what more yang Devant.
Invest your 50K to a better brand and better after sale-service.
Don't tell me I/we didn't warn you. Go ahead by Devant and prove me wrong.

^ I agree... spending 50K for a big ticket item (LED TV) is really one major decision and it really is better to buy a respected brand like Samsung / Sharp / Sony / Panasonic... (MAYBE EVEN MYVIEW.... If bought at SNS)
id avoid devant preztiz and some other PRETZEL brands... Baka di tumagal ng 1 year sira na...
Invest in good brands sir... at least subok na mga yan at may after sales service...

napapaisip din ako... wala rin kasing review ang model ng devant na ito.. kaya hirap ako.. sa myview naman wala pa kasi si SNS....

I had a friend call me earlier asking if he should bite the bullet and shell out 50 big clams for a devant tv.minura ko muna saka ko sinabi na masamang idea yun.gaya mo bro,natempt din sya sa attractive pricing ng devant.buti nakinig ang loko at sinabi na he'll get a pana na lang daw. :)

Karamihan ng warehouse sales ung mga items Open Box(pwedeng returned items or refurbished), Old Models or even Display Units, suwertihan lang din kung perfect condition pa mga ito. Ang OK naman sa ganito covered pa din sila ng warranty.

you are better off buying from SNS or other resellers here. safe ka kasi inaalagaan nila pangalan nila dito :)

last month.. my friend was looking for a 46 to 50...
medyo naging interested siya sa prestiz.. dahil sa price/quality
automatic had it for 32k.. alam na namin yun before we got to sns..
we asked sns.. sabi 37k.. we said baka kaya match price since we trust their shop... di daw kaya..
to our surprise.. anson 30k... 50inch prestiz..
i like sns.. and they will always be an option for me whenever i need any appliance... but imho we must always ask around..

SnS has the best after sales service. You can change your purchased tv within 1 month if found defective. I think walang shop/store na nagooffer ng ganun. And sabi nga ng karamihan d2 buy the most trustful brand of TV. Anyways, meron akong narinig dati na and Devant daw ay madaling masira something to do with heat issue. I wonder if it is true.

all i am saying is.. dapat lagi din tayo asking price.. minsan kasi.. pag malayo price... like sa case ng friend ko... 30 to 37k difference.. good service couldnt makeup for that price difference..

mukhang magaganda deals ng sale nila ah kasi daming nakaparadang sasakyan sa tapat, trapik tuloy sa sheridan papuntang pioneer...
re: Devant, masales-talk nga mga staff maski sa mall plus daming freebies pero hindi ako satisfied sa picture quality that's why I got LG from SNS instead and happy with the purchase -daming free 3D glasses ;)

Sns is not always good service. I bought a onkyo 508 few years ago. When they set it up in our house the tech found it defective. I talked to Vic and he said it would take few days pa to replace the oknyo. Pissed off i called up my friends inDTI. They called sns and they replaced it the following day.

Eto simple lang pero baka may dating sa iba sa inyo.
Whenever my friends and colleagues visit the house, they are delightful always (ask about it, in awe, praises it because its a known brand) to see some branded items in the house (siguro "social climber" yung iba sa kanila, lolz). I dont think I will receive the same compliment if my panel is Pretiz brand, or devant, etc.

for me.. it is ok to buy generic.. if may value for money(ayaw ko lang devant.. generic.. pero branded price).. parang gusto ko nga bumili prestiz.. for office.. iniisip ko parang cool tignan cctv monitor? hehe overkill pero.. seems nice..
pero true nga branded.. maganda remote... isang pindot mo.. react kaagad.. parang solid yung remote...
kayalang barat style ako e(kaya ganito itsura ng remote ko).. hehe and mas mabilis maglipat ng channel...

Just read a post which stated that the Lim family is finally closing down Automatic Centre. It even has a screenshot of what looks like an email to suppliers and distributors. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Di malayo mangyari yan sir. Wala na masyado nagbibibili ng appliances lalo na in the advent of covid. People stopped buying things in general. Mga necessities na lang kadalasan kaya matao pa rin sa groceries. Were they able to adapt with online shopping?

Siguro sa 100 na tao na tatanungin mo kung bibili sila ng appliances ngayon eh baka 2 or 3 lang. Pati yung mga kilala ko na medyo may kaya eh ang mindset is to weather the storm and live frugally till the economy shows signs of recovering.

they are selling via online platforms too just like most establishments nowadays. siguro they are closing most of the physical stores kasi talo talaga sa rent pa lang.
unfortunately that means laying off a lot of staff :(

I think the business approach of opening retail stores for market visibility will soon die a natural death. 3 years ago I noticed that already sa US...nawawala na yung stores ng Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan etc sa Premium Outlet Mall in Vegas. Inabutan ko yung closing out sale ng Kenneth Cole and sabi nga nila that they are transitioning already online. The employees daw will work na sa mga warehouses attending to online orders.
Jeff Bezos is just obliterating their brick and mortar business approach.

Sad news indeed. Not just for the owners and their patrons but for the employees as well. Kanina lang nadaanan ko Automatic Center sa TriNoma and their employees are just outside the store. Alam na rin kaya nila?

True. I was kinda thinking about what to do with those huge Malls. Di rin pwede kasi Entertainment centers and Dining places coz of the virus (which is here to stay). What they can do is leasing of space and warehousing for Ecomm retailers ang target market. Align din nila by getting LBC, XDE, Lalamove and all the other Logistics company to set up receiving offices in the same location para abutan na lang and mabilis shipping.
Nagbago na talaga ang buhay.

Mall culture for pinoys is basically pasyal and not necessarily shopping, I think.
It's either too hot or too rainy outside so our air-conditioned malls kinda double as our version of parks. Besides, our cities have very few places of interest for people to go to (know any real compelling tourist/leisure spots in Metro Manila that you'd like to visit over and over?).
But yeah, the malls will need to reinvent themselves.

Anyways, I really hope Automatic Centre gets back on its feet. Most appliance stores have a person's name on it and theirs was unique.

They also have an online store, but I think their brand name has already diminished over the years, even before the pandemic. Parang mas mahina yung marketing and promotions nila as compared to say Anson's or Abenson's. Covid just totally closed the deal. :(
