Got your text, Dan.
Next month Nov. 9, we are screening the gothic horror LILET.
-
Gerry de Leon's LILET was released in 1971 before Philippine Cinema ushered to the 2nd Golden Age. Among notable films during this year were Celso Ad Castillo's ASEDILLO & NYMPHA, Ishmael Bernal's debut film, PAGDATING SA DULO, Lino Brocka's STARDOOM, CADENA DE AMOR.
And it's interesting to note that LILET was produced by Mike Velarde.

Continuing Gerardo de Leon's year-long Centennial Celebration with the first film screened at the retrospective, and one of his very best. (http://criticafterdark.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-moises-padilla-story-gerardo-de.html)
