Panasonic ut50 55" @45k
Samsung F8500 51" @79k
2 years local warranty naman yun sammy.
-
Go for samsung.
-
I would go for the Samsung. it's a top-of-the-line current model. the Panasonic 55UT50 is a mid-range 2012 model. (Full HD and 3D, but PQ and black levels not as good as the ST, VT and ZT series)
-
Kung pang man-cave or room that can be darkened (not necessarily pitch dark), OKs na ang UT50. Parang salamin ang screen nyan.
Pero if you need a day and night TV, magandang di hamak ang 8500. The picture is bright and glare is very low. 79K is a good price for a top of the line plasma.
-
-
Mas maganda di hamak ang 8500 than ST60. You should compare the 8500 sa VT60 and ZT60 na.
Hindi naman kasi available 50" st60 ng panasonic,

Thank you mga master sa pagsagot :)
-
I know the F8500 is more advanced than the UT50 but you cant really beat the contrast performance and black levels of the Panasonic, I alway prefer image and color accuracy rendition of the Panasonic.
Besides it is 4" bigger and way way cheaper:
The drawback? Well the 1 month personal warranty. But if the TV is well built and not a lemon and will be used properly then you shouldn't worry at all
-
ibig mo sabihin talo ang f8500 sa ut50 sa pq performance? lol...c'mmon sir nobody a pro-tv reviewer in the industry did ever wrote that....ut50 owned f8500? hahahahaha

Noboby is saying na talo ang isa. If you read my post, I used the word 'prefer'. Preference right? and you cant argue with it.
Chill ka lang.
-
-
Get the Sammy.
Mas maganda talaga yung Sammy kasi unfair comparison yan. UT50 is Panny's lowest-end 1080p plasma for 2012. F8500 is Sammy's highest-end plasma for 2013.
In 2013's VE King of HDTV shootout, the winner was Sammy 2013 F8500, brighter, sharper and higher contrast than the very close contender Panny 2013 ZT60. Highest-end 2013 vs highest-end 2013 na nga yan, talo pa rin ang Panny. Pag highest-end 2013 vs lowest-end 2012 1080 pa, agrabyado na talaga yung Panny sa comparison.
1 month personal warranty + 110 volts pa yung 2012 Panny? ... Ewan... ;)
-
Avoid LG (although marami ring LG fans dito, baka magalit... :( ). Panny is good but unavailable.
Try an F5500. You will get lower brightness, contrast and black levels vs. the F8500, pero murang mura naman.
Do not get a 720p plasma. Kulang ang resolution ng mga bagong 720p plasma kasi may kitang stripes even from 10 feet away. Kailangan talaga 1080p.
-
Thank you sir barrister
-
if you have an nmt na may "smart features" na, just get a non-smart tv.
-
Meron bro samsung 60f6000. Its around 60k+ ata locally.
-
maganda yang ps51f8500
according to consumer reports.. sya ang pinaka highest rated tv at that size..

Pero di hamak na mas maganda ang 8500 - yung movie mode out of the box (cinema mode ng Panasonic), will already blow your mind, paano pa kung professionally calibrated. ZT60 image lang ang better for me - not a fanboi, just an actual weekly tambay sa harap ng mga TV na pinagtabi-tabi - and I don't like reading reviews because hindi ko ma-feel ang words and charts and screen captures. hehehe. Iba talaga if you see identical moving images side by side. Kaso wala sa Pilipinas so mabuhay ang Samsung.

Almost $1,900 pa pala sa Amazon ang P5F8500 wala pang tax and shipping. Mas mura ang 79K sa Pilipins. :)
-
currently 79k ngayon ang 51f8500 sa SnS maybe i will wait nalang early next year probably at that point in time the SRP would be around 65k to 68k so waiting mode lang muna...
-

oo nga eh...pero sa SnS basically ang TV lang couple w/ some items in the box such as the wireless KB, 2pcs. of 3D glasses, 2pcs. of RM and perhaps the IR blaster. Sa SM kasi may kasama HTIB maybe thats the reason medyo expensive sila.
-
You think you can really expect something like that on a top-of-the-line model? Take note, SnS already beats Amazon price with their 79K offer and the unit comes with proper local warranty - that's very good indeed. This offer is almost similar to the 65K VT30 that we got in 2012, but the premium price is due to the fact that the 8500 is the very latest and certainly better than our 2011 VT30 - even arguably better that the latest VT60.
Baka maubusan kayo.
But teka muna, talaga bang 8500? hehehe..baka 8000 or something lower.

ang sama nga pala ng viewing angle (dumidilim ng husto yung certain part ng screen) if you watch the 8500 very very close at a steep vertical angle - this is relative to that of Panasonic.
Disturbing but trivial na rin because nobody would sit that near to a huge TV and watch at uncomfortable vertical angles (nakatingala or nakayuko - masakit sa leeg yon) - although noong bata ako, maraming batang ganoon manood ng 17 inch CRT habang nakaupo sa sahig...hehehe
-
Kita mo na. Kaya ayoko ng anti-glare filter. Laging may side effect. Ginaya pala ng Samsung ang Louvre Filter ng Panny.
What a plasma user needs is a light-controlled room, not a filter.
(dumidilim ng husto yung certain part ng screen) if you watch the 8500 very very close at a steep vertical angle
Or pareho lang dumidilim?

Plasma-laptop-speaker(analog)

How much is the 65ST50?
Thanks!
-
100k po sir.
Pwde po magpatulong sa setup ko? ;D
-
That's a fair price. Saan mo nabili? hehehe
Ang daming good settings sa net for the ST50 and ST60. Your TV was extremely popular. Just try them.
Enjoy!
