HMR pioneer but i suppose sa ibang branches meron din. naka 50% off kasi.
thoroughly tested it as what is usually required.
di ko lang ma-test pa yung 3d nya at wala pa me 3d tv.hehe

Its a very goood player. I use this in all our bedrooms. Comparable to the branded japs.
BTW, I have about 5sets available selling cheaeper than the surplus store and the other sellers here. If anyone is interested, Just pm.

After going around town (and online) searching and testing for a back-up Blu-ray player for my old LG BD390, as well as hearing the opinions of our fellow PDVD members, I have finally decided to purchase the Audiosonic BR-5.1SW 3D Blu-ray player at an HMR Store near Harrison Plaza.

Notwithstanding the dilapidated box, upon inspection and testing the player in question looks almost blemish-free out of the box...mukha parin syang bago with the remote and RCA connector still wrapped. When I asked where's the HDMI, sabi ng store clerk na walang kasama sa box when it came.
While sadly hindi na sila naka-sale (sold at Php2,490 but I didn't mind because kailangan ko na agad), nag-decide nakong bumili ng secondary player dahil for several months now ay masyado ng "pihikan" ang BD390 sa mga BDs ko na dati naman ay napapanood ko without any hitch. To my disbelief, hindi na updated ang firmware updates sa LG website at ang last update that I had for this player was way back in November 2011. After further research, hindi lang pala ako ang mag-isa sa issues ko with BD390.

As of this writing, ang BD390 ko ay hindi na nakaka-play ng mga DVDs unlike before ("no disc" daw) at ang mga latest BD purchases ko (Man of Steel, Iron Man 3, Pacific Rim, Jurassic Park 20th Anniversary, etc.) ay kung hindi mag-play eh sobrang TAGAL na kung mag-load ("reading") tapos ie-eject lang nya saying "error" and "check disc." Kung su-swertehin, after 3-5 loading ay magplay na sya...but I don't want to keep this habit everytime I want to watch my BDs.

Now with this Audiosonic player, wala akong reklamo sa picture and sound quality and so far wala pa akong nilagay na BD, DVD, VCD, USB, Audio CD na hindi gumana! Ang BD 3D nalang ang hindi ko masubukan since I'm not using a 3D TV (masaya nako sa 2D). Wish ko lang sana na may home menu sya gaya ng ibang BD players since what you get is only a large "Audiosonic" spelled out in a black background when you turn it on... but that's just me.

It's truly a bang for the buck and hopefully its "playability" will last longer than my BD390, which I've owned since 2011. Only time will tell! ;)
ps: I've also noticed that the BD menu for MOS while playing in BD390 looks different from the one in Audiosonic! Bakit kaya? :o ???

^^ each brand has their own GUI's built-in. Mine is 4months old and still good as new.
Its a good player and jackpot if you can get it nga at P1,245.00 (below cost). But to go to each and every store in metro manila just to find that price is crazy. All that gas, time, parking fees all add up. Tapos di ka pa sure if you can find one.

When youre on this page, put 0 under dvd region code so it can be region free. On the bd region code, i believe you will have to change it everytime you play another bd region disc.

sir pekspert nice meeting you! im very happy with the purchase. however there are some issues i already encountered. my inglorious basterds r1 bd is not playing but when i tried it in the ps3 its perfectly fine. and also there's no sound coming out when i tried an mp4 format movie. also did you do some tinkering in the set up menu. could you share in this thread the ideal tv/picture set-up or you just stayed on the default settings.

IMO optical na lang sir if youre not going to use it for video. Audio quality is great, I use this to test broadway cd's and they sound great on my sytem.

question anong audio settings nyo? I didnt adjust mine out of the box and it seems mahina. I can't seem to find RAW para ang avr mag process. compared sa NMT my volume using the BRP is about -18 while sa NMT -28

Wala na ba sa mga hmr branches? You can try googling the contact number of the different branches in the metro.
Pdvd member pekspert also sells these from what i recall.

Anybody have trouble changing the picture settings of the audiosonic bd player? Whenever I select custom from the picture settings then lowering the sharpness to 3 it always goes back to 10. It doesn't save it. Pls help.

I'm having the same problem. When it was new, it played all kinds of BD's. Now it can no longer read BD's from MCS. It states "UNKNOWN DISC". Even BD's that it played in the past now don't work. Although orig BD's play just fine. i wonder what could have caused this. I haven't changed the firmware so it can't be that. Anyone else having this issue?

Same here. It has become more of a media player rather than a BDP. I'm hoping that the "Media Center" doesn't conk out too.

Yes Sir. Out of the blue it just suddenly refused to read MCS BD's. I don't think the lens is deteriorating. If that's the case it would refuse to read all BD's, right? Must be the firmware, but that's just my guess. Somehow it suddenly became picky. I wonder why..

I was surprised that it plays all my SACD collections. The only problem I'm having is using hybrid SACDs. There is no way to change the setting to read the SACD layer first. But for this price, I can't complain.

Mine is still working... it reads both original and MCS bds though i noticed some stuttering on some MCS bds but i think thats a disc issue.

Mine thankfully still runs stutter and issue free, regardless of format or 'source' of the physical media. :)

^ Yes, I noticed some of my files also do not have audio. Also, some subtitles don't show. Regardless, it still accepts more formats than my Samsung player.

It seems that my audiosonic bdp's remote has finally conked out.
Anyone know where i can get a replacement? Or what affordable universal remote would work with it?
Not keen into buying a logitech harmony just for this.
