It’s not your typical “China Come Lately HiFi Company.” They have a well known history for repairing and restoring classic Western Electric gear. The fact that the owner of LMA is an ardent collector of historical audio components is part of the reason these replicas are so faithful to the original; the attention to detail is stunning. They produce amazing reproductions of Western Electric’s electronics, horns and speakers; some of the latter have been adapted like these to use field coils." -- from another website

Each line magnetic ampflier are made with high quality audio grade components namely:

EI power and output transformers
Japanese ALPS volume potentiometer
German N-Cap coupling capacitors
RealCap capacitors
Individually handmade using finest point to point wiring
Soft start function w/ 30 seconds time-delay circuit
Easy tube biasing using built in meter
All in hammertone finish (gold series have gold faceplate, hammertone casework)

Post by: meat_eater on Nov 30, 2013 at 12:22 AM: The chinese have been suffering from the "bad quality" stigma, well probably because of some products that were indeed known to have prematurely failed due to bad QC or bad design.

However, the things that are coming from the east lately are in my opinion, better than those that did 5 or 10 years ago. I myself own a chinese made Tube amp, and very much happy with it.

These things IMHO, deserve a good listen, and if you have the cash to boot, maybe try at home :)

This is paired to my golden ear triton 7 and all I can say is this is the best amp I have
