According to new reports, ABC have greenlit Marvel Studios' new "Agent Carter" TV series, starring Hayley Atwell as the two-fisted character 'Margaret "Peggy" Carter', an officer of the 'British Armed Forces' before and during World War II and subject of a "Marvel One-Shot" short film:
"...as an agent of the 'Special Air Service', Peggy joined the 'Strategic Scientific Reserve' (SSR), an Allied deep science agency formed to fight against 'HYDRA', the Third Reich super weapons division.
"During the war, she met and fell in love with 'Steve Rogers', the US Army soldier who became the world's first super hero―'Captain America'. After the war and Steve's disappearance, Peggy was among the first who joined the new peacekeeping organization, the 'Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division', aka 'S.H.I.E.L.D..."

Sounds boring to me. I don't know though if there were any superheroes after Cap during that time.....at least during that comic book time.

Namor already existed back then and he knew Captain America in WWII.

Plus the original Human Torch, the Whizzer, Union Jack, and a bunch of other superheroes. They were a team called The Invaders.

Synopsis:

Initial reports state that this series will have a short 13-episode run for tighter continuity and a more focused arc with a big bad that will be neatly wrapped up in the finale.
Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Toby Jones as Arnim Zola, and Neil McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan might be recurring or regular characters.

Turns out the initial reports about Agent Carter were right after all--the show will debut as a midseason bridge of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., taking the timeslot of AoS when that show goes on its winter break.

English actor James D'Arcy has been cast as Edwin Jarvis in the upcoming Agent Carter TV series. Jarvis is Howard Stark's butler, and will be a recurring ally to Peggy Carter.
Jarvis is an iconic character in the Avengers comics as Tony Stark's butler in the Avengers Mansion, but in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jarvis is J.A.R.V.I.S., an artificial intelligence created by Tony Stark, and it's now revealed that Stark named the AI in honor of his father's butler.
D'Arcy joins Hayley Atwell in the series, which also includes Enver Gjokaj and Chad Michael Murray. Dominic Cooper, who played Howard Stark in the movies, has yet to officially confirm his involvement with the show.

right now the cast is great except for Chad Michael Murray, who is one of the worst actors ever.

Haywell Atwell hints that bits in Agent Carter will lead to Ant-Man:
It stands alone. It's very different from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Peggy that you see in our series is very different from the cameo performances that I've had in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It's really its own piece, but yet, obviously, because it's Marvel, it's interlinked with lots of the different worlds — Captain America and Ant-Man.

I don't know about you guys, but I found the first two episodes totally boring.
And Agent Carter is too "squarish" for me... sure she has big bazookas... but the rest of her body is big as well. Muscle woman ang itsura.
And the voice and acting of Stark is irritating.

I liked it--it reminded me of a 1940s version of Alias, plus I always like period shows, heh. Production values seem higher than AoS, and even the pacing and acting are better than AoS. Also, lots of Marvel lore is scattered here and there, from Roxxon Oil to Leviathan.

Love this show. Hayley Atwell did such a great performance in the Capt. America movie and her character transferred well to the small screen. Agent Carter is refreshingly different. Every TV show with a female lead should follow this example.

Really enjoyed this season...I actually enjoyed this more than Agents of SHIELD.
Hoping for a Season 2, as there were still a lot of unanswered questions. At least we get to see Hayley Atwell again in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Love this show! Love Hayley Atwell. At first di ako masyadong nagagandahan sa kanya pero her witts, charms and kick ass attitude, not to mention her basagulera attitude and (uupakan ka talaga) made her really shine. Very sharp witty and funny yung mga lines din. Ang ganda at sexy tuloy tingin ko sa kanya. Sayang, di natikman ni Cap :-).
I agree mas maganda pagkagawa nito kesa agents of shield.
