Title: Dolby Digital in Skycable HD

Can skycable HD digibox output dolby digital signal over AV receiver via HDMI? Dont know if this has been discussed before in this forum.

i guess so since nasa settings yun ng box to output dolby digital, also depende din yun sa channel kung anong broadcast nya sa sound. though i havent tried it since i dont really need to use my HT for cable viewing.

SkyCable does not output Dolby Digital signals. Even though the cable box has an option to output DD, its output is only 2-channel 9stereo) LPCM. It has been one of the drawbacks of SkyCable HD ever since. Di ko lang alam kung ganoon din sa Cignal HD. Sayang kasi meron talagang channels like Fox na DD supposedly ang output pero stereo lang ang bigay ng SkyCable. I think they're trying to conserve bandwidth.

Cignal is on DD on HD channels depends on source availability.
