mga sir patulong, planning to replace my LCR pero ang hirap mag decide. will be used movies 70% and 30% music. living room size is 4.2m X 6m. ill be powering them using onkyo 809 and read that polks and b&w matches well with onkyo. so i came up with options (mas pinahirap pa para makapag decide)
considerations:
a. rtia9 or 683 - heard the 683 but still yet to hear the a9. ive been reading forums and they say that you need to have extra amp to have these speakers sing well. not sure if i can still spare some budget to get an extra amp maybe in the future pwede pa. mas maganda just use my existing amp.
b. rtia7 or 684 - heard the a7 but still yet to check the 684. these options came up due to my small living room space baka kasi overkill ung option A ko at i think i dont need to have an external amp.
for the center, ill just go with the brand based on what will be decided for timber matching.
another consideration for option b is that i dont really go for high volumes for music and watching kasi baka batuhin ako ng kapitbahay namin. Yung tama lang na malakas.
i have an omni S10 but also planning to add/replace it with another subs.
Listening position is about 8 ft away. Floor to ceiling is about 8 to 10 ft.
ive been going thru the internet to get help me with my dillema pero mas nadadagdagan sa dami ng mga review. gusto ko lang sulit ung gastos.
your inputs is appreciated....

Best to audition the speakers mentioned, preferably matched to an Onkyo 809 or similar model, then you choose based on your subjective preference.
The room is not that large, you can actually opt for a higher tier BS speaker + appropriate stands, then get a better subwoofer than what you have.

Go for the Polk Audio RTi A9 or A7, come over to our showroom for a demo.
-
Try to audition din
PSB Image T6, Image C5 Center then PSB Image B5/B6 for surrounds
-
Will check out PSB speakers. thanks sir courage.
-
consider the GoldenEar Aon 2/3 for front mains, SuperSat 3C/ 50C or SuperCenter X for center, then the SuperSat 3 for surrounds. ;)
if you really want FS, go for the Triton 7s. though there aren't any in stock atm with the local distro. (next month pa magkakaroon muli. ::))
