Watched the first two episodes--it's actually quite good, maybe because I never saw the movie; all I know is that they gender-swapped Brad Pitt's character and the plot diverges from the film on several points, but the overall result is really enjoyable. Also, the show features an interesting take on the use of time travel.

Amanda Schull has that Naomi Watts/Nicole Kidman vibe, while Aaron Stanford (Pyro in the X-Men movies, and also on Nikita) reminds me of Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul. Kirk Acevedo (Fringe) and Noah Bean (Nikita) are also here.

Same here I thought she resembles Naomi Watts. Was just hoping they would divert the movie storyline from the virus to another predicament.

Renewed for a second season. Still watching this, want to see where it all leads; most recent episode took a rather dark turn.

That penultimate episode, in which we meet young Jones, young Cole, Cole's dad and even young Ramse was actually kinda awesome, and so was the way Cole was finally cured of his "splintering" problem.  8)

Still watching this but I have to admit none of the episodes are memorable.

I thought the season finale was great, with the supposed "set in stone" timeline now broken due to Cole and Ramse's split-second decisions. Did not really expect those twists, but they were brilliant.  8)

I think the way they're handling time travel here is much better than Legends of Tomorrow.

Pwede na maging cliffhanger for the season.  Curious what else they have in store.

That was an awesome season finale--it's great that they brought in Madeleine Stowe, who played the original Dr. Railly in the 12 Monkeys movie, for an important part. And Jennifer was hilarious as always, even when transported to an unlikely place (which was another cool nod to the original movie).

It's going to be a long wait for Season 3.

That episode 9 twist!  Medyo nakakasakit ng ulo minsan yung timelines, but the writers of this show are really good! :)

Yup, that was incredible, and another blindside moment for me, as there was no way I expected that. This show is really written and produced well; I guess if you've got a limited number of episodes per season, the pacing is tighter, unlike some shows (*coughMarvelNetflixshowscough*)

...which reminds me, back in the pilot episode, when Jones was screening James' eligibility for the splinter procedure, why didn't she do a DNA test?

This final season has some good storylines unlike the last two seasons. I wonder if this major plot reveal has been designed from day 1? It's good that they're wrapping this up. I'm getting dizzy trying to follow all the different timelines.

This recent interview (https://tvline.com/2018/06/29/12-monkeys-recap-season-4-episode-9-hannah-cole-mother/) with showrunner Telly Matalas reveals in the last paragraph that it was planned way, way ahead; I can just imagine the writers' planning discussions with a huge timeline graph in their meetings, LOL

According to this, yes, but I we don't really know.  :)

https://tvline.com/2018/06/29/12-monkeys-recap-season-4-episode-9-hannah-cole-mother/

While the mother reveal came as a surprise to Cole, it was actually in the works “from the beginning, from Season 1,” showrunner Terry Matalas tells TVLine. “From the moment we mentioned Marion Woods, I knew. In fact, on Brooke’s first day, I told her, right after she was cast. It was something that was always planned. And if you go back and watch the series, you can see many hints of that throughout.”

Oh, and I like it that they also included more light/funny moments this season for most of the cast. :)

That was a very satisfying conclusion to the series--now this was one show that I was glad to have watched from the start and never abandoned, as the payoff was worth it in the end.

Agree?  I must be one of the few people who have't seen Breaking Bad, so I can't tell.  :)

Yeah, I agree. They're the same in the sense that all plotlines were resolved, bad guys taken care of, etc. but I thought that the 12 Monkeys finale was better since everyone got the ending they deserved--now this is how you end a genre show.

I actually abandoned this mid way through season 2. From the good reviews here, I binged it to the end. It meandered there for a bit that's why I dropped it. But season 4 was really tight. And the Nazi episode was hilarious! Good show overall.
