Title: TurnTable Help, up/down not functioning
Post by: rochie on May 30, 2014 at 06:58 PM
I have a Lo-D HT-500 MKII that i haven't used for a few months(8 months i think). couple of days ago i got a norah jones white vinyl and eagerly played it, to my surprise my TT won't function as automatic, the tonearm will swing in position but wont lift causing the cart/needle to hit the side of the platter, also pressing the up/down button will not lift the arm,I have to manually lift the tonearm and put it down, after playing the last track the tonearm swing back to its holder w/o lifting causing the needle to glide across the grooves creating a scratching sound and might damage my needle.

when i open the bottom cover i discovered that there's a spring that got dislodged from its original position, unfortunately i dont  know where to put it back, the mechanism for the up/down button is still functioning as i tested it w/o the bottom cover, the gears are still turning, no sign of the plastic gears being damaged or "nabunging ipin".

here's the picture of the internals and the spring
