Three years have passed since a zombie virus has gutted the country, and a team of everyday people must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood. With humankind’s survival at stake, the ragtag band embarks on a journey of survival across three thousand miles of rusted-out post-apocalyptic America.

...sounds ok, but this is from the same people who brought us Sharknado, so we shall see...

would there be room for two zombie apocalypse tv series?
-

Sounded boring and was going to pass, but that sentence made this a must-see for me.

The pilot episode was surprisingly cheesy fun, but fast zombies are the worst. >:(
on the other hand, show-runner Karl Schaeffer recently mentioned this in an interview:
We have zombie animals. We have zombie dogs and zombie babies. We have a zombie gopher in a future episode.
...he had me at zombie gopher, heh ;D
-
I thought the first episode was rubbish, with really horrible writing. Hopefully the next ones are better.

Anyone watched this one? Watched the pilot episode and wanted to know if it's worth following.

It's ok. The show takes a different spin on the zombie apocalypse. The show doesn't take itself too seriously compared to The Walking Dead. But it keeps the interest and entrainment value up a notch.

Thanks bro!

You're welcome sir.

renewed for a 2nd season of 13 episodes to air in 2015.

I like this show for its somewhat campy portrayal of the zombie apocalypse. Like what DVD_Freak says, it doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's what makes it work (for me at least).
-
I like the ridiculousness of this show, just like Sharknado LOL. Zombieland + Sharknado = Z Nation. Though i really hate that skinny guy. I usually skip every scene where he does monologues. Never liked him except for Road Trip. One of the worst actors ever even if this show is supposed to be ridiculous.

DJ Qualls is so annoying but keeps getting cast. Go figure.

True...he's annoying as hell, and most of his movie roles are almost exactly the same. Good thing they added that dog, or else I'll just skip watching his scenes entirely.
This show is the anti-Walking Dead, and is actually pretty hilarious in some parts. The fact that they don't take themselves seriously is what makes it watchable for me. ;D
