I am actually considering getting this unit as well. Mga 99% decided na ako. :)

Went to LIS last Sunday and had the unit placed side by side with well known, reputable brands and I was shocked with how this unit can be at par in terms of video quality.

This unit also stands out from its same category brands like TCL, Skyworth, Devant, etc...etc in terms of better blacks and pq.

Audio really sucks, but I don't mind as I have my system to deal with that. 8)

For the price of a 50 incher/non-smart, its bang for the buck without a doubt. The only reason I did not get it is I could not withdraw more than 20k on my ATM and I wanted to pay in cash for the cheaper deal! :-[ But I am sure to get mine this week for sure! ;)

Pakilakas na lang ng bulong para marinig din namin. :)

Saw it as well in LIS and G&S temporary space outside National Bookstore, ok naman for normal viewing, medyo washed out lang ng konti compared to LG, Samsung, Sony. And yes, you'll find the audio wanting. If you have home theater or speakers, not an issue.

I've seen this MyView led tv up close. it's PQ is really good. it still suffers from backlight bleeding though, and its response time is not good for gaming (6.5ms). but for video, movie, cable tv watching, it's a sweet deal!  :D

I think all LED TVs should specify their response time for better comparison. Like in Singapore, they always talk of response time in comparing TVs. I noticed it's not the case here in the Phils, the product specs don't always include response time. And oftentimes you have to dig it up from another country's website.

Toshiba 40L2400VP
Samsung 40F5000
Samsung 40F5105
Sony KLV40R472
LG 42LB5510

MyView 50SX100 is already a great deal at P22k.

was also shopping for myview 50 incher. but none giving 12 mos 0% interest. finally decided sa skyworth. mas mahal kesa sa myview pero 2 years warranty naman. dont know which of the two is better in picture quality...

Yan ang pinakagwapong mangkukulam ng Pdvd 8)

I already set-up the unit in my bedroom earlier today, but have not had the chance to calibrate it yet. I will do this over the weekend. :)

I also did a picture recap of the unboxing, what's included in the box, etc...etc... which I will post here as well for reference. :)

For now, this is how it looks...

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/photo_zpsc2810244.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/photo_zpsc2810244.jpg.html)

I installed a Dayton T-amp for the audio output with my pair of vintage SVS SBS-01 BS. The unit can read MKV movie files, but MKV files of "TV series" programs play with no audio. The audio codec used for TV series downloads may not be compatible with the panel, so I incorporated my Egreat player and all's well. :)

@xgh0st12x - Sir verified - No gaming mode. :(

Thanks sir. I just don't like the fact that I can't take off the plastic all around the frame yet, co'z the unit has a 30 day replacement for factory defects. If I opt to take the plastic off, I can't have the unit replaced. So, tiis muna na may plastic for the next 30 days. :P

So I found time to focus on my new TV. I used to do a lot of "unprofessional" reviews for gadgets here in Pdvd when I was really active in the past, mostly gadgets from sir Jim aka toys4geeks and personal impressions of SVS speakers for sir Mike when it just came out. :)

So herewith is my unprofessional review of the MyView 50SX100 LED TV (Non-Smart). The whole purpose of which is to be able to provide and share to fellow members/enthusiasts some information about a common item we are interested in. :)

Disclaimer: I am in no way connected with MyView, its company and will not gain anything from this personal review of their product. I simply what to share. ;)

UNBOXING

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250409_zpsed68dda8.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250409_zpsed68dda8.jpg.html)

The units is well boxed and is opened by simply lifting its box cover.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250410_zps3a205695.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250410_zps3a205695.jpg.html)

The base part remains where the unit stands sturdy on styrofoam support. On top of the unit is another set of styrofoam support to protect the top part. One of the styrofoam houses the stand to be attached to the base. The base is neatly packed at the back of the unit, together with the remote and the documents that come with it.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250412_zps2dd37dfa.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250412_zps2dd37dfa.jpg.html)

Herewith is the free wall bracket, the stand, the base, the remote, batteries and documents.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250413_zpsb7d0ad8e.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250413_zpsb7d0ad8e.jpg.html)

Above is the contents of the plastic zip lock bag containing the following: product manual, warranty card (credit card type), metal support for the base and stand with screws, the remote and the batteries.

ASSEMBLING THE STAND

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250414_zps04c06433.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250414_zps04c06433.jpg.html)

At the bottom of the base is a diagram to correctly position the metal support. Once in place, screw it in while the stand is attached on the opposite "top" side.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250416_zps58875b09.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250416_zps58875b09.jpg.html)

Image above shows how the stand looks once it's assembled.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250417_zps7c13273a.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250417_zps7c13273a.jpg.html)

Take you panel and mount it on top of the stand and secure it with the other set of screws that come with the accessories.

CONNECTIVITY

There are two locations situated for connectivity...

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260421_zpsf97b425e.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260421_zpsf97b425e.jpg.html)

The above image is located at the right side when facing the panels back side. You will find 2 sets of RCA ports for composite video (yellow) and stereo audio (white and red) - one INPUT, one OUTPUT. You will also see the USB port to connect your external HD's to view your downloaded material.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260423_zps24e8bf29.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260423_zps24e8bf29.jpg.html)

The second location can be found at the center of the back panel, near the bottom part. Here, you will find the following: Earphone port, HDMI1 & 2 ports, VGA port, PC Audio Input port, Antenna and YPBPR ports.

CALIBRATION

For calibrating the picture quality of the panel, I used my trusty INHD Home Theater Tune-up Guide as seen below:

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260428_zps5a65da13.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260428_zps5a65da13.jpg.html)

First setting: Brightness

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260429_zps665d3f72.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260429_zps665d3f72.jpg.html)

Up next: Contrast

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260431_zps36040124.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260431_zps36040124.jpg.html)

Next: Color - I used my trusty THX Blue Filter Eye Glasses for this. 8)

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260432_zps00e1e31a.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260432_zps00e1e31a.jpg.html)

Next: Convergence - This is actually for projectors, I had no choice but to go thru it just the same. Its good to know that everything is in order by looking at the grid.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260433_zps673aa4c6.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260433_zps673aa4c6.jpg.html)

Finally: Overscan - Again, used for setting projectors, had to go thru it. At least, it did show me that my boarders are well proportioned.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260434_zps23b795ef.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260434_zps23b795ef.jpg.html)

SCREENSHOTS

I almost did not get the chance to take screenshots, as my cameras battery died down on me. Its charging now as I do this, and the first chance I get, I will take some more screenshots. But for now, here are two of them...

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260441_zpsc21401c6.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260441_zpsc21401c6.jpg.html)

I hope this review helped you in anyway. If you have questions, feel free to ask. Cheers guys! :)

Impressions to follow....

One thing I like about this TV is the presence of AV OUT, which is removed in other brands including popular ones. This feature is budget-setup-friendly since it complements simple setups like 2.1 amplified speakers. Also, the addition of the headphone jack makes it bedroom-friendly.

Just realized that my TV is already a little more than a month old. Been using it every single day for about 8 hrs of viewing on weekdays. On weekends, about 18 hrs. So far, so good! No problems whatsoever. This has been the most "bang for the buck" purchase that I have made in a long time. Very well built and PQ is top notch! :)

If in the future, they decide to come out with 65 inches and higher, I will surely get one! ;)

bro marts agree ako sa sa PQ ng myview OK nga sya and was a little better that the entry level samsung and LG at the time i was testing it (2012).  ;D
too bad ayaw nung pinagbigyan ko ng tv ng myview (oldskul kasi gusto japanese), so i had it replaced with a panasonic.  which was a better tv overall, but i had to shell out MORE for it.  sana plasma nalang pala binili ko 50" pa ;D

btw ikaw ba yung lalake sa box? :D

Malaki brader. Mga 25% better, kasi the TV comes with 2 PQ settings - parang "Warm" & "Dynamic" if I am not mistaken. So I find the warm setting too dark and the dynamic setting too bright. The calibration gave me the best setting for my preference. I made a thorough calibration with blue filters and all. :)

Check ko kagawad Froot. May malaking file size pics ako from GoPro camera. Test ko sya. Wait...direct plug into the panel ba'to or thru NMT?

ETA: mukhang wala naman support for flats since I only see FW for their tablets.

So I found time to focus on my new TV. I used to do a lot of "unprofessional" reviews for gadgets here in Pdvd when I was really active in the past, mostly gadgets from sir Jim aka toys4geeks and personal impressions of SVS speakers for sir Mike when it just came out. :)

So herewith is my unprofessional review of the MyView 50SX100 LED TV (Non-Smart). The whole purpose of which is to be able to provide and share to fellow members/enthusiasts some information about a common item we are interested in. :)

Disclaimer: I am in no way connected with MyView, its company and will not gain anything from this personal review of their product. I simply what to share. ;)

UNBOXING

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250409_zpsed68dda8.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250409_zpsed68dda8.jpg.html)

The units is well boxed and is opened by simply lifting its box cover.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250410_zps3a205695.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250410_zps3a205695.jpg.html)

The base part remains where the unit stands sturdy on styrofoam support. On top of the unit is another set of styrofoam support to protect the top part. One of the styrofoam houses the stand to be attached to the base. The base is neatly packed at the back of the unit, together with the remote and the documents that come with it.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250412_zps2dd37dfa.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250412_zps2dd37dfa.jpg.html)

Herewith is the free wall bracket, the stand, the base, the remote, batteries and documents.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250413_zpsb7d0ad8e.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250413_zpsb7d0ad8e.jpg.html)

Above is the contents of the plastic zip lock bag containing the following: product manual, warranty card (credit card type), metal support for the base and stand with screws, the remote and the batteries.

ASSEMBLING THE STAND

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250414_zps04c06433.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250414_zps04c06433.jpg.html)

At the bottom of the base is a diagram to correctly position the metal support. Once in place, screw it in while the stand is attached on the opposite "top" side.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250416_zps58875b09.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250416_zps58875b09.jpg.html)

Image above shows how the stand looks once it's assembled.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7250417_zps7c13273a.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7250417_zps7c13273a.jpg.html)

Take you panel and mount it on top of the stand and secure it with the other set of screws that come with the accessories.

CONNECTIVITY

There are two locations situated for connectivity...

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260421_zpsf97b425e.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260421_zpsf97b425e.jpg.html)

The above image is located at the right side when facing the panels back side. You will find 2 sets of RCA ports for composite video (yellow) and stereo audio (white and red) - one INPUT, one OUTPUT. You will also see the USB port to connect your external HD's to view your downloaded material.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260423_zps24e8bf29.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260423_zps24e8bf29.jpg.html)

The second location can be found at the center of the back panel, near the bottom part. Here, you will find the following: Earphone port, HDMI1 & 2 ports, VGA port, PC Audio Input port, Antenna and YPBPR ports.

CALIBRATION

For calibrating the picture quality of the panel, I used my trusty INHD Home Theater Tune-up Guide as seen below:

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260428_zps5a65da13.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260428_zps5a65da13.jpg.html)

First setting: Brightness

Up next: Contrast

Next: Color - I used my trusty THX Blue Filter Eye Glasses for this. 8)

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260432_zps00e1e31a.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260432_zps00e1e31a.jpg.html)

Next: Convergence - This is actually for projectors, I had no choice but to go thru it just the same. Its good to know that everything is in order by looking at the grid.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260433_zps673aa4c6.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260433_zps673aa4c6.jpg.html)

Finally: Overscan - Again, used for setting projectors, had to go thru it. At least, it did show me that my boarders are well proportioned.

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260434_zps23b795ef.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260434_zps23b795ef.jpg.html)

SCREENSHOTS

I almost did not get the chance to take screenshots, as my cameras battery died down on me. Its charging now as I do this, and the first chance I get, I will take some more screenshots. But for now, here are two of them...

(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc250/banksescrima/P7260441_zpsc21401c6.jpg) (http://s214.photobucket.com/user/banksescrima/media/P7260441_zpsc21401c6.jpg.html)

I hope this review helped you in anyway. If you have questions, feel free to ask. Cheers guys! :)

Consider the after sales service also. For a big panel, it should have home service especially for those who are in the province like me.

Good Pm...

Yes. **200 - **250 na yung model ng MyView ngayon. EX for Elite series, PX for Pixsmart series, don't know about the SX series though. Maybe smart?

Based on MyView website:

EX = Elite series
PX = Pixmart series
SX = Pixmart 2 series

Both PX and SX have Smart and Non-Smart models.

Non-smart = EX100, PX100, SX100, PX200, SX200
Smart = PX150, SX150, PX250
