am also looking for 55-60inch 4k or Full HD no 3d or curved (because of extra price premium), but I really need bluetooth for my headphones and somehow it's hard to find tv that have bluetooth these days, in my little research, LG has wireless sound sync, which is basically bluetooth but only LG bluetooth products are compatible, so it's kinda like proprietary.

So any suggestions that have generic bluetooth that would connect to any bluetooth enabled headphones? Any brand is ok.

Anyone notice the flickering from these rather largely affordable new UHD sets?  Was at Avant Trinoma yesterday and there were UHD displays with massive flickering there.

Maybe you're sensitive to backlight scanning? You can switch that off on some TVs.

It can also be due to PWM backlight dimming (if you're sensitive to this).

It could be their video source as well.

Check mo sa lazada meron blutooth transmitter receiver dun. Connect mo sa tv mo to transmit audio to your blutooth headphones.

Why not connect a Bluetooth repeater via optical audio out of the TV? Just thinking out loud.

if you can afford it, the Samsung 55JU6600 gets my vote. ;)  it's a 55" curved UHD tv with really good color and blacks. I think the curved screen gives it a pseudo-3D effect.

I am kinda choosing in between the Samsung 58h5203 or an LG 60LE650. Both cost less than 60k. Samsung seems to have the edge in PQ though, but LG got the larger screen. Which to choose?

Im not a fan of LED though using an objective observation on how I appreciate TVs, the Samsung 60H5000 would still get my vote over the Sharp 60LE650. Apart from this I heard wala na yatang support ang Sharp sa Pilipinas. I actually got a MyView 65 inches, ang linaw talaga at ang ganda ng pq kaya lang di ako tumatagal manuod, parang masyadong bulaga yung liwanag nya sa akin so I ended up returning it in exchange for the Samsung plasma.

Been actively testing and window shopping for bang for the buck LED TVs. The ones that fit my budget were the Sharp 60LE630/60LE650 and the Samsung 58H5200/58H5203.

The 60LE630 is an older model and as per the sales guy, it is not a smart tv yet like the 650. Same thing on Samsung, the H5200 is the non-Smart TV version while the H5203 is the Smart tv.

My wife wanted a smart tv so we narrowed our choices to the Sharp 60LE650 and the Samsung 58H5203. Here is a summary of what we like and dislike:

Sharp 60LE650
+
Bigger size(+2 inches)
Free wallmount
-
Wife says the design is very old school with the large bezel
GUI is slow and the layout is very 80s
Need to buy a Sharp wireless dongle worth 3k to be able to connect to wifi
Colors aren't lively

Samsung 58H5203
+
More Vivid colors
Wife approves of the design
Better GUI layout and the OS is a lot more fluid than Sharp's
Built-in Wifi
Lots of app available. Even the screen mirroring thing got the wife's attention.
-
More expensive by around 3k than the LE650
Wallmount isn't for free. Wallmounts for 55" and above cost 3k up.
Smaller size(minus 2 inches)

Which one we got? The Samsung 58H5203. The difference in size wasn't much of a factor because when I measured both TVs, they actually have almost the same width. The 60LE650 was just taller making the screen look more squarish. With movies encoded mostly in widescreen, that extra height advantage of the 60LE650 is useless. The 58H5203's wider screen will minimize those black bars better.

Overall, we are happy and satisfied with our choice. I just hope this TV will last because my last Samsung TV was  the 32R81 and that LCD conked out by having vertical green lines a couple of years after the warranty expired.

Maliit lang Master Nelson yung difference ng price sa market ng non-smart TV sa smart. For comparison, sa Western Appliances.
Sharp 60LE630(Non-Smart) - 55k cash
Sharp 60LE650(Smart) - 60k cash

Yung sa Samsung 2k lang difference.

Seems reasonable nga. An Android player kasi costs around P3t to P6t.

Congrats with the new purchase. The H5203 models do have a nice picture.

Shouldn't the aspect ratio be the same between the Samsung and the Sharp though? They should both have square 1920x1080 pixels.

Thanks Master Ivan, and yes it should have the same aspect ratio. I guess the actual measurement of the pixel(not sure how do you call that) makes Sharp taller than Samsung.

For a 50in Full HD: I bought a 50J5500 for 37.3k cash at Anson's Landmark (Sir Vic has one at 36,499 but they were not available last Sunday). Coming from a 37H5000 (2010 model), I can say there is a leap in PQ (aside from the obvious size difference) even if they're the same series and I can see it upscales SD channels (Cignal). And also I like the Tizen OS - simple and responsive (thanks to its Quad Core Processor) Power Consumption: 150W

I was supposed to get the My View 55inches (Gadgets and Style was giving it to me at 27k cash) but did not get an approval from my wife. (also it comes with only 1 yr warranty)

My mom ask me to buy her a new tv ang budget is 90k.

Yesterday went to Anson's Ortigas and shop for a TV. Was looking for a big basic TV kasi news lang usually pinanonood ni ermats. They recommend the LG basic 65UF670 they gave it for 88,+++ plus rechargeble lamp. Then I saw the Sharp 70 LE650 they offered it for 84,+++. Buti na lang may cable connection and ask kung pwede ikabit pareho sa cable nila. Was really thinking na one after the other ang gagawin nila pero head to head comparison ang ginawa nila. Things I noticed with LG: responsive ang remote at mas mabilis maghanap ng channel. With Sharp: mas malapad ng 4 inches at mas matangkad ng 2 inches kaysa kay LG. With picture quality and looks, I prefer si LG so I bought the LG and will be delivered sa Wednesday.

They are also offering a display unit 65UF930 for less than 90k, lamp hours nya as of yesterday is 1170.

I'm looking to buy a 50" LED TV soon, hopefully with a 120 motion hz tv, full hd. A plus if with 3D and Smart features.

I saw a DeVant UHD, Smart 3D awhile ago and was on sale at around 33k.
Hisense same specs but just 1080p at 32k.
MyView has a very compelling price at 19k but only at 60hz

I'm on a 35k budget so when I was reading through some posts here, they have lots of negative feedback.

Btw, got impressed by the whole 3D thing (i wonder if this is only a phase, got to watch Avatar in a 70" Sony 3D TV of a friend and I want one too!)

Would appreciate the help and thanks in advance!

P33k for Devant 50" UHD Smart 3D TV? Where is this and which model.

The price might be for non-UHD Smart 3D TV, I think.

They also have 50BC520 which is basic but 120Hz.

It was the Devant 50UHV130.

Hesitant though because of the feedback that 4K makes non4k movies look worst when upscaled.

What do you think? Is this a good buy considering it's Devant?

pm E-Reply (Sights & Sounds) for their latest pricelist. the Samsung 65JU6600 fits your criteria. ;)
will ask him pag final na.. for now... parang tingin tingin mode pa.. hehe

thank you for suggesting :D

devant?  :-\
i will only buy devant if price is really really attractive...
i consider devant a generic tv na ginagastosan ng distributor para maging premium price niya.. often price niya same sa lg/samsung and may free smaller tv para mapull tayo sa kanya..

well maaga sa technology ang devant... like 4k... yung kalaban niyang mga generic.. usually 1080p parin..
and may built in nadin siyang digital tuner.. surprised nga ako na meron nadin silang curved screen.. hehe

I ended up getting an LG 49" 49LB6200.  I know.. it's not 50-65" but 1" is forgivable I guess? The 3D feature and the brand had me choosing this over the Hisense or the Devant

Anyone here with this TV too?  I've ordered and will get my TV within 2 days.  Feedback would be good because I only got this based on limited web info (released in India and Brazil I think)

Bro, what was broken with your Samsung LED TV that it will take P15k to fix?

Personally, I prefer LG, have several of them and the oldest one is already 8yrs old and still working fine. A Korean friend of my mine recommended LG over Samsung in terms of general reliability.

Aguy! This is scary. Imagine buying a TV na worth P50t then masira in 5 years? I remember those days when a CRT TV lasts more than 10 years minimum. Parang hirap pa mag-sink in sa utak ko ang ganyang scenario.

nasiraan din ako ng toshiba 55" this year.. sakit nga sa bulsa.. had i repaired

oonga i remember old tvs.. never kami nagpalit sa bahay.. bata ako hangang umabot sa lcd..
naalala ko meron pa kaming sony na aluminum or stainless yung remote.. hehe feature pa yata yung remote control... mid 80s siguro umabot samin hangang lumipat kami ng bahay early 2000s

i have a friend na 2x na nagamit warranty niya sa samsung plasma niya.. kaya medyo fingers crossed siya nung natapos warranty... 42" yata na 6 digits ang price(120k if i remember right) yung kanya... di ko lang alam kung ayos pa ngayon

That's the reason why I am trying to steer away from Korean TV's, I know that they are also clear and very competitive ang price, problem is after a year or 2, ayan na, labasan na ang mga diperensiya!!! Sharp and Sony brands right now are also competitive na rin ang prices.

Sir AC, I read that you had your Toshiba TV repaired, sir do you have the contact number of the repair service, kasi my 46" Toshiba has a defective volume, lalakas and hihina ang volume, it is quite irritating to keep on pushing the volume in the remote. I just hope they still have parts kasi matagal na itong Toshiba LCD ko eh more than 5 years na, Thanks po in advance.

Even if you steer away from korean brands chances are still your japanese brand tv will have korean made panels.

Although lg and samsung are competitors they share technologies.

I forgot the model number, but sa ansons makati, they have 55in haier, 27k pag cash. And tcl i think 33k yung listed price pag cash/straight but may discounts pa daw. Devant 55, 32350 listed pag cash/straight, may konti discount pa din daw.
