Title: Video of Members Stereo System/s
Post by: camoteque on Apr 20, 2015 at 11:54 AM: I don't know if there is already a thread here on this topic. But since we cannot audition each others system to appreciate what each had done to his own system to reach "nirvana" and the compromises each had to take in order to further his own goal, maybe we can at least post a video link of our systems playing music. I know there are limitations on the quality of the sound and video but at least....

I'll start with my system. Video taken using my Samsung tablet. No external microphone used in the recording. Chie Ayado's take on the "Green Green Grass of Home" (from her CD "Natural"). My system is 4way active driven by two - 2A3 SET amps and two SS amps using MiniDSP as the active crossover. I cannot take the video farther from the room because of space limitation.

Bro, it is very much possible as Sir Larry can pack and crate the speaker boxes for safe shipping for you. That's what he expertly does. I remember he had a client before who iS from HKG

This is recorded using my cellphone (iphone5c) on a 12ft by 12.5ft room with a very cheap diy treatment which is somehow effective.

sir yung Teradak Chameleon is a good Dac specially when modified, it has a vinyl sound which is not very detailed and warm. Certainly Musical, but not as detailed as the newer dac's.

hello sir! tube pre amp at sony AV reciever lang ang gamit ko sa video hybrid set up wala pa ko tube amp ngayon hehe. Yes one unit yung speaker about 5feet 5 inches ang height 12" yung AN driver. PM nyo lang ako sir pag andito na kayo sa manila pakinggan natin :)

hindi naman sir but upon experimentation namin sa AN the bigger the box the better SQ possible kaya nilakihan ko na ang pagawa para ma maxize ang possibilities and ok naman ang outcome. Yes ibang pre amp yung gamit ko dito.Pasensya na sir larry na hijack yung thread nyo ;D

Sa pagkakaintindi ko, nung nakita ko yung loob ng speaker box, it is a combination of dbr and transmission line design, tapos dagdag bawas lang sa filling sa loob to get my desired sound, nothing scientific, hit or miss lang kapag walang magawa. Regarding sa xmax, mukha ngang lampas, walanghiya kasing billie jean yan, nung pinatugtog ko eh nagwala yung driver ko, enjoy naman. Pati pala OS ng laptop eh may epekto sa sound, may epekto rin kung mas magandang laptop ang gagamitin mo, kainis! Nakakalito na tuloy! Hahaha!!!

Samahan mo pa ng aikido preamp. I found the aikido preamp to provide ample bass oomph.

Nasa tera dak dac.. at box...his box is designed to have deeper bass though AN alnico already can produce deep bass. Malaki epekto din sa SQ pag marunong kang mag upgrade ng dapat upgrade sa audio gears mo. Yan si shrek7. Malikot at makati ang kamay. Kaya naman na tweak na ng husto set up niya. Dapat din kasi marunong ka din makinig para matimpla ng maayos set up. :)

meron pa konti pag nilalakasan bro ang tagal mawala pag malaking driver 2 hours a day lang kasi ang gamit ko sa kanya medyo busy kasi sa work.

buti pa yung sa iyo ok na itong akin medyo shouty pa lalo na sa female vocals at power ballad pag nilalakasan kulang kasi sa playing time. Going out na yung kt bro kailangan ko budget hehehe.
