Ten men enter the Vancouver Island wilderness carrying only what they can fit in a small backpack. They are alone in harsh, unforgiving terrain with a single mission–stay alive as long as they can. These men must hunt, build shelters and fend off predators. They will endure extreme isolation and psychological distress as they plunge into the unknown and document the experience themselves. No camera crew. No producers. It is the ultimate test of man’s will.
so far episodes 1 and 2 has aired. a bit slow paced but pretty interesting concept for a survival TV show.
currently down to 8 men after 2 episodes.
-
Awesome two episodes. Survivorman X10. But this is no tutorial. This felt more real and urgent.
-
can't believe how fast the players are tapping out here. Iba din siguro talaga pag may mga wild animals na pwedeng kumain sa iyo just roaming around.
this might be done by episode 5 or 6 with the rate its going.
-
Ep 6 out. Tibay nila he he. Pati itong thread alone din ako. But this is way better than Zoo he he he.
-
Ilang episodes ba ito intayin ko matapos para marathon
-
6 episodes.
-
6 episodes.
Thanks pwede na marathon sa Lunes
-
Matitibay ang mga remaining guys so time will tell how long this series will last. Galing nila.
This airs Thursdays in the US, so the show is available over the weekend.
-
mahirap talaga pag gutom, uhaw at takot at mag sabay sabay. titiklop talaga kahit na sino. 4 guys remain and it wont be long until one is left.
-
how many days na yung last 4 ?
-
22 days
-
Paano kung kainin isang contestant ng mountain lion? Ipapakita kaya on air yung last minutes nya? hehe
-
It will be put on the other show: Eaten.
-
I watched the Marathon nung Sunday. grabe yung experience nila. Cougars, wolves, Bears nasa labas ng tent mo. kahit sino naman siguro matatakot at grabe ang ulan.
-
Ep 8 out. Astig talaga sila.
-
just got my copy of ep.8. will watch it later.
saw yung special na "After the Rescue" where the first 6 told their story. grabe mga pinagdaanan talaga nila.
-
Does the participant know how many are left standing ?
-
Does the participant know how many are left standing ?
no. they are only told once the rescue team picks em up when they tap out.
-
Done with Episode 1. I'm getting hooked into it!
-
What happens when it comes to a point where the contestants starts getting comfortable and no ones wants to tap out ?
-
I started watching this new series out of curiosity if it can compare to the ordeal being experienced by the contestants in discovery channel's naked and afraid. I still prefer the latter's concept.
-
Done with Episode 7, I am rooting for Alan. How about you guys?
-
Yes, I think Alan has what it takes. Just watched ep 9.
-
cant believe Lucas tapped out. i thought he had the best chances having a good shelter and even a boat.
I always thought Sam would be the next as he had no luck in food at all but now i think he has the strongest will to win.
Mitch simply had to choose very important family matter thats why he tapped out but he also didnt have much luck with the necessities.
Alan has a really good chance to win this and will probably get his own show after if he does.

Wow spoilers.
-
pinakamasaklap dyan yung number 2 na mag tapout...
-
Oo nga. Puro what ifs iyan. Sa tingin ko yung mga psychological effects dala na lang ng gutom yun. But damn, staying this long is amazing.
-
Sorry for the spoilers gino
-
cant believe Lucas tapped out. i thought he had the best chances having a good shelter and even a boat.
Just finished ep 9 and this was a big surprise for me too. Up to episode 8, I thought he would be among the top 2.
Oh, and I just found out this show was coming back for a second season. Cool! O0
-
I want to see Ray Mears, Bear Grylls, and Les Stroud on it.
-
56 days and we have a winner!
well deserved i should say. man! that scene when it was revealed to the winner! oh man! he was in it for the long haul! thinking and planning about spring already!
looking forward to season 2 already.
-
Awesome. I really couldn't pick who deserved it more. I am happy for the winner.
-
I thought Lucas was the best equipped for the long haul having made the sturdiest shelter, a boat and a good system for gathering food. Hell, he even has an "entertainment" system, having made his own musical instrument. But at the end of the day, I guess it all boiled down to mental toughness and Alan sure did have a lot of it.
Great series!
Katawa yung mga comments I saw online. Reality series are really pushing it daw, and next thing you know, Hunger Games na ang concept. :p
-
Lucas burned a lot of calories with unnecessary projects. Ultimately hunger messed with his mind.
Sam almost had it. Again, the cold and hunger got to his mind.
Alan with his slugs was on track again. He could have gone much longer.
Si Mitch pinagtatawanan namin dati video niya on how to cook steak on rocks. Sino in a survival mode has steaks. Yun pala he got what it takes. Galing.
-
bwahahahahahahahaha
I want to see Ray Mears, Bear Grylls, and Les Stroud on it.
-
wow.half a million richer , 60 lbs lighter & 38->31 inch waistline
http://www.wetpaint.com/history-channel-alone-weight-loss-1434831/
Well, 40-year-old Alan Kay took home the big bucks after 56 days on his own. He's half a million richer and 60 pounds lighter, and, as you can see, he looked very different coming out of the woods than when he went in.
...The pounds came off thanks to a diet that consisted of a heck of a lot of seaweed. As he describes to People, he also "had mussels, crab, fish and slugs sporadically." Yummy.
..."I went from a 38-in. waist to about a 31-in. waist. And this looks strange on me, as I am 6’6," Alan told People. "Looking in a mirror for the first time after coming out of the woods was surreal; the only part of me I recognized was my eyes."
..The Georgia native also noted he didn't keep the weight off, because Alone wasn't a "healthy, slow, sustainable weight loss plan," it was a push-you-to-your-limits reality TV challenge.
.
-
I was rooting for Lucas and Alan. I was surprised Sam lasted that long.
-
I was expecting Sam to last that long if not win it. I found Lucas too wasteful with his strength. I was surprised for Mitch. He had what it takes. I guess hunger compounded his mommy issues.
-
Medyo sablay kasi yung shelter ni Sam. It was in the open and the weather was getting worse. Lucas was keeping himself busy para di mabaliw but it took it's toll. Si Alan I think his shelter gave him the edge over Sam.
-
It was in the open and the weather was getting worse. Lucas was keeping himself busy para di mabaliw but it took it's toll.
I agree. I thought Lucas had the right idea of keeping himself busy. In the end he was just too emo. On the other hand, Sam had everything going against him, e.g. he had a bad shelter, a not so sustainable food source compared to the other 3 (of the last 4). It all boiled down to will power I guess.
-
I want to see Ray Mears, Bear Grylls, and Les Stroud on it.
hahaha.
ako, I want to see Wolfgang Puck, Jamie Oliver and our very own Chef Boy Logro (dapat may noypi, siemprei...) on its next season.
lets see how innovative these guys by coming up with unique menus to survive based on available food source around.
-
I was skeptical at first but I enjoyed watching this. Waiting for season 2.
-
That's the nature of reality tv. We have no way of knowing if it is staged. I for one think putting the men in bear and cougar country was way to risky for a show. Oh well, it was entertaining and th weight loss was real.
-
I for one think putting the men in bear and cougar country was way to risky for a show.
Sabi nga sa isang comment on FB, if this is real, this is clearly a dangerous show, and it won't be long before we have the actual "hunger games" on reality TV.
-
Nag start na pala season 2 nito. 2 episodes out. Haven't seen it pa
-
I let the season finish and binge watch. Too many on my plate he he.
-
Yeah. Same here.
-
Previewing ep 1. May mga babae na kasali! Mukhang tuloy tuloy na ito....hehehe
-
Watched ep1. Place is brutal. Wow, one man down. It must really be scary to be around bears.
-
Di mo na din natiis ha. Hahaha! Scary hearing animal sounds like that and knowing na ang daming population ng bear sa area.
Watched ep 2 na din. Cant wait for ep 3!
-
Eh sound lang ng tuko sa beach paggabi nangangatog nako sa takot.
-
Ganun?! Paano kung mga halinghing? Hahaha
-
Grabe nangyari dun sa young mom. That hand injury looked nasty. Thumb seemed paralized.
-
Grabe pala yung wakwak sa kamay! Nakakapang lambot nung na focus na
-
Ang talim ng axe grabe. Hindi slicing action pero biyak agad.
-
Ep 4 out. Damn bears.
-
ayun! thanks! been waiting for this episode.
-
Mike is bound to win this. Man! he is close to making a cabin out there!
a week has passed and its already taking a toll to most of them. crucial talaga pag wala ng makain.
-
Hanep si Mike. Robinson Crusoe. Yeah hunger eventually gets them. Kahit na loneliness ang dahilan, sa tingin ko, malnutrition talaga main cause of tapping out. You just can't think straight when hungry.
-
^Mike is really good, but they way he keeps mentioning Barbara, makes me think he's gonna tap out due to loneliness. Haven't seen Jose this episode, but I feel he's a strong contender.
Is Nicole the last woman standing? She seems to have a real positive outlook, I hope she lasts long. Too bad about Mary Kate.
-
Nicole na lang but it looks like the bears will be driving her away soon
-
Iba talaga fear if animals.
-
swerte ni nicole! that was a big catch!
mas magagaling mga contestants ngayon, better prepared tsaka mas madiskarte lalo sa pag gawa ng shelter. naka gawa na nga ng cabin of sorts yung dalawa at maganda pag kakagawa nila.
lets see if it will wither the storms.
-
These guys had the benefit of watching last season. I guess the best guys anticipated what causes people to tap out. Those log shelters were awesome. Amazing how dry it was inside.
What puzzled me was nobody took down their nets knowing a storm was coming. Those were their life lines.
The guy with the gym, I don't know. While he may be pumping andrenaline and endorphines, he is also burning calories.-

oo nga. baka biglaan ang dating nung storm and they were caught unaware?
baliw nga yung nag exercise na yun. instead of using his energy to make sure may maayos na shelter siya at sustainable source of food and water siya pinapagod lang sarili niya sa pag exercise.
di ata pinakita si Mike in this episode?
-
Hindi pa ako first name basis sa season na ito he he.
-
New episode out. Impressive staying power. Galing talaga yung cabin ng isa. Solid yung walls.
-
Nicole's cabin looks cozy.
-
Commendable relationship with the bears. Her i sight about that plays less fear.
-
best spot talaga yung kay Nicole except for the bears. steady food and water source at mukhang hindi problematic sa weather.
malas din yung isang lalaki. lahat na lang ng gawin may sablay. ;D
-
Been having connection issues sa history.com stream. Finally got it working. It was not the most interesting episode this week. Day 22 for the remaining. Wow.
-
^For one though, I was surprised to see Mike go. He was really comfortable where he was.
-
Kawawa yung binaha ang shelter. After all that work, he is back to zero.
-
^For one though, I was surprised to see Mike go. He was really comfortable where he was.
Surprising nga. 2 out in one episode.
Looks like the bears will be a big problem na for nicole.
-
Curious ako dun sa wolf heading for the camera scene sa opening credits. Sino kaya inattack?
-
More than just surviving in the wild, mukhang mas malaking issue talaga yung lack of companionship.
Seems like Jose is still not getting much exposure so far, so I feel he will be finishing high up there in the end, if not winning this season.
-
I think the hunger and lack of sleep contributes to their psychological issues.
-
Siguro nga yung hunger at lack of nutrients gets all the chemicals in the body and brain imbalanced causing major psychological effects.
Imagine kausap mo lang din sarili mo for weeks. Napakahirap nga talaga nun
-
Just saw episode 11. Bye Nicole. After day 57, 3 people are still fighting it out.
Grabe, Larry really looks so malnourished.
Anyone know if there's a restriction on catching ducks for food? I noticed there's a lot there, but no one seems to be making an effort to catch them.
-
Sayang siya. Seemed to be most in tuned with nature. Pero pagwala na talagang makain, inevitable na magtap out.
-
David seems to be doing well with the fishing and the crabs. After failing so miserably with his gill net, I thought he wouldn't last long. Now, baka manalo pa siya.
-
Onga. If he keeps those crabs coming, he can think this through. The great equalizer however is winter.
-
season finale na pala next episode?
-
I thought 13 episodes this season (+ a "reunion" episode yata)
-
Back to back finale episode. 2 hours yihee.
-
Really nice finale. Iba nga talaga epekto ng gutom. Yun ang naging advantage ng winner this season. He had steady supply of food.
Parang halos lahat ng nag tap due to hunger ata. Exception yung na cut yung kamay at yung nalublob sa water.
Never saw who got chased by the wolf. Parang wala ata sa mga episodes?
-
I agree. Gutom ultimately gets you. Various reasons sila but really the effect of hunger.
Inaabangan ko din wolk victim. Wala. It was the trailer's click bait. Sa last two ep may isang wolf pa nga naka pose. Hindi possible na nagcompose pa ng shot yung contestant in that dire situation he he.
-
Just saw the finale. I actually thought Larry wanted it more, but at the end of the day it all boiled down to who was eating better.
-
i thought about that too. pareho sila ng characteristics nung season 1 winner na si Alan Kay. may kulit sa ulo
tapos halos pareho din ng naging food source which came from the rat trap. madami sila similarities.
-
Season 3 is in the works na pala and it's moving to South America.
http://www.channelguidemag.com/tv-news/2016/04/20/history-alone-season-3-renew/
-
Anyone still watching Season 3 of this show? Episode 9 and the last 3 contestants have endured 76 days! And the women are really hanging tough.
-
At 76 days, the last three remaining contestants have already outlasted the winner from Season 2! More interesting still if a female will be the winner for this season.
-
87 days for the winner, and it all boiled down to who was starving less. Great season, imho.
