Title: Need help in media player that can decode hd audio

Hello po..

Pa recommend naman ng media player na kayang mag play at decode ng audio:
Dts hd ma
Dolby truehd
dolby atmos

Ano po bang pagkakaiba ng decode tsaka passthrough..

mas ok din sana kung makapag play ng bd iso...

Up natin bro, i'm also looking for a media player that can do atmos and 4K 60hz... medyo napag-iiwanan na ako sa media player, there are a lot of brands coming out these days but i don't know which is which :)

DTS HDMA at Dolby TrueHD kaya ng R300 Reynold? Yung R6aII ko hanggang DTS at DD lang.

Yup pre, kaya nya DTS HDMA and TrueHD, kaso di nya kaya Atmos, hehehe saka 4K... mukhang mapapa-upgrade na naman kaya naghahanap ako ng media player that can play 4k and decode Atmos na rin para ma-test ko yung firmware upgrade na ginawa ko sa 636 ko :)

Naumpisahan na naman ang kating mahirap kamutin hahaha :)

Hello braders :) DTS HDMA at Dolby TrueHD, there are brands and models that support these formats. I am using a Mede8er MED600X3D and it does support both audio formats mentioned above.

As for Dolby Atmos and 4K, these are fairly new technologies in audio and video. In line with media players...I have a few questions as well...

1. Are there existing media files that have/are either/both Dolby Atmos and 4K?
2. Do you need a receiver that supports both Dolby Atmos and 4K?

If the answer to both questions are "yes," specially #2...di na ako mag upgarde ng media player!!! Magastos yan mga braders...hahaha! ;D

To answer your questions bro :)

1. There quite a few releases of 4K sources, there are also movies that are Atmos coded... though I still don't see sources that has both formats but im sure they are already out there :)

2. Yes, you need an AVR that can decode Atmos and can play 4K (if you will use your AVR as your video processor), if not, at least your TV or PJ can output 4K resolution, imo...

Thanks for the info brader. Oh tamo...di lang pala receiver and upgrade...pati TV!!! Grabe!!! Gastos to brader. Abangan at tignan ko nalang upgrade nyo ni brader markcrenz :)

Hahaha, tama ka dyan, sobrang gastos nga pero one time big time lang naman yan which on my case will last for at least 3 years of no upgrade :)

Si reynold lang may plan to upgrade. Happy na ako sa HTIB at 14" CRT TV ko. ;D

Bro, ang alam ko pag decode, idedecode ng player yung audio para maging LPCM ang output. Pag pass-thru naman, ipapadala nya as-is yung audio stream tapos yung AVR mo na ang bahalang mag decode.

Silipin mo yung Nvidia Shield -- kayang mag pass through ng Atmos -> http://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php/topic,201375.0.html

Ako pala ts dito...



Other forums confirmed that med1000x3d can pass through dolby atmos....
Ang problem may dts:x na naman
Sana katulad din sya ng atmos na dumaan through truehd...
So wala talagang alam ang media player na nag exist ang atmos...

All HiMedia android media players can decode HD audio.
