Netflix has confirmed that it is bringing Marvel's The Punisher back on TV, this time in his own series. Jon Bernthal returns as Frank Castle, with Steve Lightfoot doing showrunner duties. No premiere date for this show has been announced yet.

Marvel’s The Punisher has added Ben Barnes (Westworld, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) as a series regular. It is yet unclear who Barnes will be playing.

Punisher Pulled from New York Comic Con After Las Vegas Shooting
Netflix and Marvel have decided to pull Marvel’s The Punisher from the New York Comic Con following the Las Vegas shooting on Sunday.
“We are stunned and saddened by this week’s senseless act in Las Vegas,” the companies said in a joint statement. “After careful consideration, Netflix and Marvel have decided it wouldn’t be appropriate for Marvel’s The Punisher to participate in New York Comic Con. Our thoughts continue to be with the victims and those affected by this tragedy.”
The upcoming series was going to have a panel at the New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 7. A premiere date for the series has not been announced yet.

Done! It is really good IMO. Semi-binged it.
Ganda ng chemistry ng mga characters. Not too over powering action scenes but brutal none the less.
Was expecting a lot of hard action scenes since its "the punisher", but it worked out well maski konti lang at far apart ang labanan.
Loved how Frank and Micro took hits at each other. Kulit ng love-hate relationship nila at kΠ¶@L∆n with each other.
The character crossovers are there. Karen Page. Nuff said.
Hot yung wife ni Micro.
Si agent Madani din bigay hilig. Hehe

finished this yesterday. i had very low expectations for this but, man, was i in for a surprise! this was such a gripping and gritty series. very unapologetic for all the violence it portrayed, which sometimes went a tad too much. the characters were well-developed and believable. the acting for most was very good. i was hooked from episode 1.

It's ok, just didn't like the ending. I embraced the realism of the show but the ending felt like a fairy tale. I mean, c'mon you just can't pardon a self confessed murderer roam free. They should have just let Frank dissapear in the end.

^i'd agree to that. Feels as if story ended already unlike the latter which will set up a succeeding season better.
But im sure they'll figure something out to draw him back in to killing. Maybe use Karen again as a damsel in distress.

^ they already created the origin of Jigsaw (Billy Russo) in that finale fight. Should make for a good Season 2 villain. Going to be easy for Frank to go back into killing mode. hehe

After several nights of only sleeping for 2-3 hours, finally finished. It was easily top 2 amongst the Marvel TV Universe shows. My number #1 is still Daredevil (last is Iron Fist :-)). Was hoping they'd have Karen show up in the last episode.

Don't get me wrong, Jon Bernthal's Punisher incarnation is the best, but for me Ray Stevenson is more scarier and has the absolute look of Frank Castle parang BvS version ni Batman. Kung pwede lang i-copy and paste sa tv series e hehe.

Nakulangan ako sa action scenes. Too many talks and drama for me. Tama si Coastal parang direction din ng Shooter. Although magaling umarte halos lahat sila (except Madani parang OA lalo na sa bed scenes), why get actors that are a lot taller than Frank? Nagmumukhang maliit tuloy si Punisher with his 5'10" height. Heck even his 'sidekick' Micro is taller than him.
Wish for a more action packed 2nd season. I want him to be more kick ass like in DD2 and be a real Punisher at that.

Josh Stewart (Shooter), Floriana Lima (Supergirl) and Giorgia Whigham (Scream) have been cast as new series regulars for the upcoming second season of Marvel’s The Punisher on Netflix.

Super late for this but man is this series great, toe to toe with Daredevil. Actually thought of dropping this series the first few episodes as the Kandahar and Frank's family flash backs and the Pete story arcs had me bored to sleep, but I think it was episode 3 or 4 when things turned out for the best.

^ Jessica Jones Season 3 was announced last year. If that pushes through, most probably it will be the last Marvel series under Netflix. What is sad is that we will not see any of these characters again until 2020 or even 2021. If ever they return, there is a possibility that Disney-Marvel might choose a different approach, interpretation or cast to move forwards. Sayang rin yung na establish na nila under Netflix.

mid episode 7 and yeah, quite toned down and slow paced. a lot might not like this season

Just finished episode 3. Loved the episode! The previous 2 episodes not so much.
Based sa mga nababasa ko, viewership has significantly decreased and reviews for the full season are not so good. This series is in life support.

Cut down the season to 6 episodes, this would be compelling, boring kasi dami emo moments ( my comments are the same for all Netflix Marvel series, pacing problem ang nag plague sa kanilang lahat)
