Title: Ultra HD Blu Ray Player (particularly Samsung K8500)

Hello po! Do we have local resellers that sell Ultra HD Blu Ray Player? (particularly Samsung K8500) I have asked both Anson's and SM Appliance Center and said Samsung Philippines hasn't released this in the local market. I am just wondering why - they are already selling HDR-enabled TVs but do not have the correct video source to display HDRs :)

My brother just bought an Ultra HD TV and was asking me the same question. He is also looking for an Ultra HD Blu-ray player. So, currently the only locally available player is the Xbox One?

Marami na din in the US 4K BD Players, $250-350.

Ill wait for the prices to come down first.  Plus the software to increase  O0

Sana magkaroon ng Ultra hd bluray na may smart capability then can passthrough hd audio via usb port. Can passthrough ultra hd video as well from usb port para no nid na ng separate media player...

Or may existing na ba?

Yes, the Samsung UBD-K8500 supports that. The Xbox One S may be even better at it (we'll see in August).

I haven't tried it yet, but does the current Xbox One support mkv formats?

HEVC Main 10 is also supported (added over a year ago), but only upto FHD res afaik. There are other playback apps for it in case you don't like the included one.
