Title: Recommend a Bookshelf speaker to mate with PM6005
Post by: MrDeckard on Jul 24, 2016 at 08:30 AM
I have a zensor 3 + pm6005 + Rel T7 sub.

An opportunity to upgrade the speakers came my way. What would be a good uograde that can work well with the marantz pm6005? Budget can be 50k.

Am satisfied with the zensor 3 really. But as they theres always somerthing better.

What seems to be missing ? The Zensor has a 7 inch woofer, most bookshelf speakers has 6.5 and smaller, I think your next upgrade would be a FS or a really good bookshelf speaker which might cost you more than 50K, unless you go the second hand route. Look into Dynaudio,  B&W.

I saw an SVS floorstander in the Buy and sell section, I think it fits your budget, going with an FS will greatly improve your midbass performance

Revel F35  at 68K looks promising :)

If you like the sound of Dali, go for for the Zensor 7 or go up to the next series Ikon or Helicon.

Thanks guys... I opted to buy a cambridge cxn network player instead. After much thought, i realized the my player is the weakest link. The CXN sounds good, i have a better appreciation of zensors. Thanks to Adrian of 5th Ave.
