Title: HTIB / PROJECTOR
Post by: jeffishot on Oct 06, 2016 at 06:18 PM
Good Day,

Newbie Question lang po, can i hook up a HTIB to my UNIC UC46 projector and use it as speakers? I am planning to use a flash drive to play the movie. I dont want to use the HTIB as movie source, i just want to output sounds.

Pwede siguro, but analog lang. And you'll need an adaptor for 3.5mm audio output. Ask natin si sir LouPah. Sya hustler dyan!

second to that.. :-) kaya ako hindi ko na ginagamet na player yung PJ, laptop ang gamit ko kasi mas gusto ko gamitin yung splash player pro, and since may mga unsupported video files din pag sa PJ magplay ng mga movies.

Thank you for the reply mga boss. So meaning, kung analog lang, stereo sound lang sya? hindi puede 5.1?

So boss,  i will just use an 3.5mm to RCA adaptor? Automatic na pag play from USB lalabas na yung sound sa HTIB ko?

Yes, but 2 channels(left & right) lang. Pag mga digital(DD, DTS etc...) no sound since analog lang yung output ng projector.

Anu nman kasalanan ko dito? ;)
Yes you can, para ka lang gumagamit ng external speaker, which is your HTIB, tama si brader espionage, use the 3.5mm adaptor, tapos itusok mo doon sa headphone port ng UC46 mo, ganun lang  then enjoy ;D
Pero sayang dahil ndi mo ma-enjoy yung 5.1 channel ng HTIB mo dahil you're dealing with stereo sound only.

Last question boss, wala bang ARC ( audio return channel) feature ang mga projector? Like USB ang source pero yung sound patutulayin sa hdmi ng htib para audio out. Just wondering

I don't think so, kasi kahit sa mga tv now a days ganun din eh. Invest ka na lang sa media player.

What media player do you recommend boss? Yung hindi masyadong pricey tapos puedeng malagyan ng hard drive tapos may audio out sa HTIB na 5.1? Sorry kung makulit po, actually i am seriously considering to buy one para ma save ko old movies ko sa hard drive

Is the 5.1 HTIB you are referring to 5.1 speakers only without av receiver? or with av receiver (like Onkyo HTIB which is sold with an av receiver)?

If you already have a projector and a 5.1 HTIB with av receiver, you only need a media player with USB input for your external hdds.

If you already have a projector and a 5.1 HTIB speakers only, buy an av receiver and a media player with USB input for your external hdds.

Oh I see...not familiar with your projector and htib.

Just a suggestion (hope you don't mind), ditch your htib and get an Onkyo, Pioneer or Yamaha htib (kahit second hand lang) and then hunt for a media player with USB input (for your hdds) and hdmi out.
