It was already updated upon setting it up. I did try to update it but it's already the latest firmware ver. The tv is connected via wifi

Actually video is fine but still images looks inverted a Google search under images of persons makes it obvious.. Software is 1154. Latest already I suppose as no update is available, anyway Samsung already saw it thru their remote assistance and sending a tech..

Thanks but the service guy just came and checked .. the TV says it is the latest version at 1154.. any won't auto update either Anyway I have a service report recommending replacement. Maybe something else is wrong as some of the picture settings are not retained after I set them..

Thanks for the tip. But I am reluctant to try and update as the Samsung service already created the report with a recommendation to replace . Maybe they will review the report at the head office..And send in another tech...There was also no note of the firmware version..

I had the same problem before then I used a lan cable to connect my Internet then voila it upgraded to 1160.

Gone are the days na durable talaga ang tv. Everything is disposable. Kung maganda (at affordable) ang Sony, eto ang bilhin ko. Yung Panasonic plasma ko inabot 6 years na hindi man lang nagka issue. Binigay ko na lagn sa parents ko when I upgraded.

I had the same browser issue with my KS7000 and searched the Internet for solutions. There is an option to turn this effect off, at least for the Samsung KS7000. With the remote, long press the volume button (or is it the channel button?) and an option for High Contrast will appear. Simply turn it off. If the solution is applicable for the Ku6000, then I guess having it replaced was a bit of a hassle.

I think, if the movie shows only video and no audio, then that movie file has an incompatible audio. Most of movies are in ACC and it plays well. I think if it is in AC3, then no audio will be produced.... So sa file yan...

same here.. dapat 50" lang talaga balak ko.. sa akin naman 2,000 ang difference kaya naging 55 ang nakuha ko.. was about to get the curve version.. add lang ako ng 4,000 pero parang medyo nakakahilo pag binabago ko point of view.. saka parang di ako satisfied pag nag view ka sa isang side, dapat parang lagi sa center lang ang point of view.. just my observation..

It's supposedly a 10-bit panel, based on rtings testing. Check the gradient below:

What was not clear to me with this Samsung TV when checking reviews was if it supports HDR10 which is the standard used by the Xbox One S and the Ps4 Pro when watching HDR movies.
It fully supports HDR10, but it is not Ultra HD Premium Certified. It lacks the wide color gamut and the peak brightness required to meet that specification. Current LCD TVs typically need a quantum dot backlight to meet the gamut and intensity requirements of this specification (which the KU6000 does not have).

You said it better than me Master Stagea, that's exactly what I was trying to point out. Though this Samsung says HDR, we can't actually take advantage of the feature because it does not have a wide color gamut.

It's hard to get consistently wide gamuts at this price point. The X8000E can only deliver it when displaying bright images; the gamut shrinks below the KU6000 at low luminosity levels. This makes the X8000E better in the highlights, and the KU6000 better in the shadows.

Just got my replacement from Anson's.. talagang kahit doon ayaw na magsindi yung panel.. hays.. too bad for a 3 day old panel.. ang hassle dito is need ko pa manghiram ng mas malaking sasakyan.. hindi kakasya sa sedan.. sabi nung sales rep meron daw dun last day nagtest may dalang 8TB.. sa palagay ko si sir anya yun.. hahahaha ang tagal daw talagang nag test.. hehehe.. ang lilinaw daw ng mga movies na laman ng hard drive nyo

I bought a CDRKing TV remote specifically for Samsung LED TV for P 100.00, which I used for my older 40inch 1080p Samsung TV, and that CDRking remote works perfectly with our 55KU6000.... so need to worry about that 5K remote control....hehehe

another thing is yung clock ko was late ng ilang oras.. how do i adjust this.. connected ang LAN/Ethernet.. problem is kahit manual set ko at itama ang oras.. once na unplug ko siya.. babalik sa pagiging late..

Yun nga ang pagkakaalam ko.. dapat it should automatically adjust to the exact time.. iniisip ko baka may time zone or some sort na dapat kung baguhin.. pero saan part ng settings.. Thanks

May mga fake na remote din. Nakabili ako before for LG; looks exactly the same and works exactly the same pero ang internals iba. It served its purpose naman.
The same is true for camera accessories... merong mga batteries, chargers, flashes, etc. na fake pero you can't easily tell them apart sa original without opening yung enclosure.

Yup sa lazada maraming remote ng samsung na looks like the original.. lalo na yung mahahaba at malalaki.. same looks.. same button configurations pero mas magaan siya.. and yung quality ng plastic at material.. mahahalata mo kung meron ka ng original and compared it side by side..Yup, ganyan nya. I got mine from Amazon, though it did say replacement remote sa description so I knew what I was getting. Nagulat lang ako pagdating ng item kumpleto with LG branding saka model and serial number. Same type ng items na meron sa eBay.
