Title: Comments on Onkyo TX-8150 Stereo Amp
Post by: alvinbaronsia on Mar 21, 2017 at 06:49 PM
Can anyone provide their thoughts on the Onkyo TX-8150? I'm considering this amp as it has all I need (Spotify/connect, dlna, bluetooth, sub out, DAC) in a moderately priced package. I'm just a bit concerned on the sound quality as I heard the Onkyo NR545 with Wharfedale 220s and it was not as energetic and lively as hearing the same speaker with Pioneer or Marantz. I wasn't considering Onkyo anymore until I shifted interests to integrated amps and saw glowing reviews of the TX8150.

Right now, I'm leaning towards  Cambridge CXA60 (but it doesn't have dlna, spotify. bluetooth), and Denon x2300w (it's an AV receiver so music performance may be poorer but haven't heard it yet). If there are other amps that have my requirements (Spotify/connect, dlna, bluetooth, sub out, DAC), please let me know also.

TIA!
