THE MIST

Based on a story by Stephen King, Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.

THE MIST stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr. and Frances Conroy.

Premieres on June 22, 2017.

The Mist was previously adapted as a 2007 feature film, directed by Frank Darabont.

^Depressing as it was, I liked that movie ending as it was like a classic Twilight Zone or a Black Mirror episode and I loved both series.  I believe it was different from the book ending?

Could this be the "next Walking Dead"?  Abangan...

Nice. i like Darabont's take and the twisted ending.

I hope the series becomes successful as I am waiting and hoping for somebody to turn Y The Last Man into a TV series. Hahahaha

Actually (as pointed out by jjjeronimo), the film ending was not Stephen King's. As far as I remember, King's novella ended on a somewhat more positive note with a hint of hope for the survivors. I think this made the film's ending even more of a shocker to even those who have read the novella.

IIRC it was Darabont who came up with the tragic ending ........ Stephen King liked it a lot.

Hope they don't drop the ball with this.

Sana "The Stand" na lang ang napili nang producers ........ IMO it would make for a much better TV series (remake).
