"The Mi Laser Projector utilizes ALPD 3.0 laser light source tech developed by Appotronics, the company behind the laser tech in 90 percent of China's movie theaters. Yet, Xiaomi doesn't end its cross-company projector collaboration there, as it also features its own custom digital light processing (or DLP) solution created by Texas Instruments."

What an interesting product from Xiaomi! :)
-
Based on Xiaomi's own pricing (CNY9,999), this will be roughly equivalent to $1,470 or P74,350.
-
wow looks good , i wonder if it will do well for lighted conditions.

Wow this is very nice, unfortunately limited products lang dumadating dito from Xiaomi. I was seriously considering Mi TV 4K TVs pero wala naman available dito locally

This is actually relatively cheap considering 4k smart laser projectors can price as high as millions of pesos.

I think theres a mi store in Trinoma, initially offers the phones, no news yet if we're gonna get the 4k tvs and the laser projector...
Definitely will be waiting for the laser projector locally
-
Great news! Waiting for the Mi laser Pj. :D
-
its 83k here at mi store in trinoma, would it be advisable to just get online (if there's any) than locally
-
anyone thinking about this is just wasting money. Ive seen this personally and the PQ is terrible. Very dull compared to other laser pj's. Better to just get a epson lcd pj. If you can afford the hisense laser PJ then go for that.
-
Ok, thanks for the heads up, maybe I'll be switching to 65" 4K hdr samsung tv for video quality. ;D

Where were you able to audition it?

English User Manual
https://www.china-gadgets.de/downloads/xiaomi-laser-projector-anleitung-englisch.pdf
Broad color range and distribution
Colour is an important part of the entire projection screen. If the colour range is too small, the projector cannot display the film's true colours. Xiaomi Laser Projector uses innovative five-stage colour wheel technology for red light projection rates of 16-18% *. The NTSC colour range of 85% provides rich and faithful colour reproduction.
* Conventional projectors usually only use a three or four-stage colour wheels.
Red light projection rates usually fall below 10%

Guangzhou, china
I auditioned it in Akihabara (using Disney's WOW and some select video files) and compared it against the Japanese competition.
Frankly, I don't know why you said it's a bad projector. You might want to audition one here.
In my humble opinion, it is the best projector under ₱100k in price and is nearly a match to the Sony laser projector, which, in Yodobashi, was 10 times the price.
The only big fault I could find was the terribly long input lag. You might also want to check online as most reviews I've seen (including in the AVS forums) concurred.

in AVSforum they talk highly about this projector which i think is an OEM from inovel who makes UST's for the past 10years.

I can't remember where someone said that ALR's are a nono for UST & such have their own special screen.
let us know how it goes. :)

I think its the angle of the light source. logically the ALRs design assume that the source is coming from an almost parallel.
-
The screen I ordered is for UST. And ive seen same setup when I was in singapore. Will share how it goes.
And yes I can confirm xiaomi UST will not work on ALR screen(designed for non UST) as I tested already :)

does 150” mean it can project up to 150 inches size diagonally?
are they selling na? hope me local warranty and service para less hassle .
bro @stan
pwede na ba yan at that price?
does it get as hot as the bulb based HT projectors ?
no plans to grab XY projector screen ?

uy ayos na yung price na yan ah, almost same selling locally here in china BUT note this is not a 4K pj, it will just accept 4K signal then down sample it to 1080p
yes it can go 150" diagonally but the surface must be really really flat otherwise you might have a skewed or wobbled image, there are also screens meant only for UST PJ's. you can check out youtube, there are a lot of reviews for this pj.
...you can also consider the Xgimi LUNE 4K, I think it's coming out internationally

It doesn't get that hot. Warm to the touch lang.
No plans to get XY screen yet. My wall is kinda ok.
Price, depends on you. 83k w/ local support vs 78k w/o local support. :)

Ampanget ng quality at waste of money ito. Hehehe
Anyway, kidding aside. I owned LG C7 OLED and Samsung Pemium series tv and my wife/kids prefers the projector. Iba talaga experience watching on BIG screen :)
-
If you have the budget go for a fixed frame screen rather than projecting on white wall. There are other manufacturer aside from xy screen. Theres snowwhite/Telon,etc.

Yeah, i am waiting for CLR screens to be available in Pinas. Ü Ala pa e. I just want a screen perfect for this.
