Title: SMPS power supply for DAC

I am using an external DAC with an SMPS based power supply. Aside from a 12v battery, is there a better type of power supply that I can use ?

You can try linear regulated.some say linear is still best for audio applicatiom than smps.

Yes, this is the best way and JojoD makes one of the best linear regulated power supply, which I am using for my streamer/dac.

Linear power supply ba ang mga PS ng CPU ? May 12v ba doon na enough to power a DAC ?

May 12v and 5v dun.. pero alam ko switching din yan gamit sa cpu

Yapoy is correct. SMPS ang sa modern PCs.
