Teams for The Amazing Race 30 have been announced, billed as the "most competitive" group of teams ever assembled, which includes IndyCar drivers, competitive eaters, retired NBA all-stars, X-Games champions, and even Big Brother contestants.
The Amazing Race 30 will premiere on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, wth double episodes airing on Jan 24, Feb 7, Feb 14 and Feb 21. The race will start off in New York City’s Washington Square Park and head straight to Iceland; by the time it's all over, teams will have traveled to 10 countries, 21 cities and over 29,000 miles to win the million-dollar prize.

That was a weird way to get eliminated in the 2nd leg. Why the head-to-head cr*p? Although i agree with that team being eliminated.

I agree, sana hindi na lang sa head to head yung deciding factor kung sino ma eliminate. Mas ok sana kung after nung challenge na yon malayo pa yung pit stop para mas ok... Oh well..

Didn't Cedric Ceballos play for San Miguel here during the early 2000s? He's not that old, wala pa siyang 50; but he looks much older--mahirap talaga mag-recover from a heart attack; but if he's had several, why was he still accepted for the race, eh mostly physical tasks yung involved?
He also made a big mistake not leaving his heavy backpack with his partner during the Roadblock to follow the Gnome, unlike the others. Also, pay attention to the clues! LOL

I agree, sana hindi na lang sa head to head yung deciding factor kung sino ma eliminate. Mas ok sana kung after nung challenge na yon malayo pa yung pit stop para mas ok... Oh well..
I do not like straight head to head elimination because it gives the lagging teams better chances than those that were ahead and got tired losing several head to heads ... the teams that arrived first should at least be given head starts ... the current format is not fair

I do not like straight head to head elimination because it gives the lagging teams better chances than those that were ahead and got tired losing several head to heads ... the teams that arrived first should at least be given head starts ... the current format is not fair
The head to head returns next episode. Looks like it's not gonna be too physically demanding naman based on the preview (sana). In this case, the earlier team has an advantage over another who has not played the challenge before.

I've been following The Amazing Race since season 1, besides the different places and exciting tasks, personality of the contestants is also a big factor on making the show entertaining.

Was it season 28 that a team won almost all episodes only to lose in the finals because they were not able to get a taxi?
And that season where matt stefannina and partner won it all without even winning a single episode?

I've been following The Amazing Race since season 1, besides the different places and exciting tasks, personality of the contestants is also a big factor on making the show entertaining.
I want to watch the season where Boston Rob and Amber of Survivor was one of the contestant.
I started watching the show way back season 3 yata when the gay couple guy (Reichen and Chip) won the season then hindi ko nasubaybayan. Nabalikan ko na lang yata ulit by season 24 or 25.

Rob and Amber competed twice, season 7 and the first all-star ... Season 3 was the best one, not Reichen and Chip, it was Flo and Zack on that season

Double episode pala. Just watched it. Too bad walang eating contest/task or they wouldn't have been eliminated. That head2head really sucks. Its really unfair! Buti na lang di maka shoot yung isang team :)

its season 27 I think, where that annoying guy (the green team) cried cause they were 2nd place.

The eaters made a huge mistake--andoon na sila sa arena, they should've just done the bull run.

I quit the season of Big Brother after they were both eliminated, and I'll probably also quit this season of Amazing Race when they're gone. I find them really entertaining.

Too bad that there was a U-turn on this leg.
Whats up with the show no longer doing airport scenes? Thats one of the best parts of the show. Flights are really part of the game before pero now it looks like the producers are controlling the flights. I remember back in Season 1 there was really a huge gap in between the 1st place finishers and the 3rd place finishers in the last leg. Hindi pa nila kino-control ang flights back then.

Seems the producers are limiting the flight options to ensure teams are always bunched up to add more excitement. Kaso the airport drama has always added excitement for me. Nate-test ang abilidad of the teams to get ahead.

Wondering why the other teams are not so fond of Team Yale when they have not really been consistent. Either they are intimidated by college kids or Evan is a b!tch (someone said Henry was nice) behind the scenes. Personally I'm rooting for them as underdogs, and because Evan is cute.

LOL, I knew who the winner was when news of their engagement came out days before the finale aired. Actually, this season was good in terms of team likability for me; every team was likable--yes, even Big Brother (I found Jessica's fondness for random stray cats hilarious). And Jessica was right when she noticed that Evan cracked the whip in her relationship with Henry; personally, I think that she nags too much.

what makes the season good is really the personality of the racers .... there were a few seasons where the personalities are boring or disgusting, hence even if the race was competitive it was not fun to watch

Not on the last challenge. She basically nailed it herself that lead them to the finish line. But I still want Team Yale to win though. If it was Evan to solve the puzzle, Team Yale might have won. :)

team Yale opted badly on who had to do the road blocks - the one on the bridge should have been Henry, and Evan should be the one assembling the plane, she was more analytical .... they lost a lot of time on the bridge, and Henry got frustrated on the airplane build ... but I thought that the ladies would win

Yup, I also thought that they would have fared better with Henry on the bridge and Evan on the plane assembly. I thought Evan could have been more methodical, whereas parang hit and miss lang si Henry.

That's the problem I noticed with Henry & Evan, she decides on the spur of the moment without reading the clue. She should've let Henry do the climbing, and they got behind a good 14 minutes because she decided to do it. And she was so noisy during the final challenge that it rattled Henry, LOL.
She also constantly berates Henry in public, and I think that's why the others don't like her--but they like Henry.

Jessica admits naman na she was kinda useless, though she did redeem herself at the best possible moment. I wasn't rooting for them, but I did not really hate them. What they had going for them was that it most cases, it seems they did well (or were lucky) in deciding who did which roadblock. Cody was a beast with the physical challenges.

I really liked this season pero patapos na ba buhay ng TAR?
three successive episodes na two-hour, mukhang minadaling matapos na lang ang season.
i hope may season 31 pa.
