Hi at_sunset_blvd
Thank you for the interest on this topic

For ss for me 25watts is a low watter
Amplifier in combination to the current speaker sensitivity which is 88db down

I just found out on my quest to audio
That low power amps has sweeter and mild sound quality if matched with the right speaker
Mine has 1.8watts driving a 103db pioneer pax speaker and altec horn

Low watt amp?

My Darling SET amp comes to mind. 12SL7 as drivers and a pair of 1626 for power tube handling.
A mere 0.75watts per channel amp. Plan to be paired with a Pioneer Pax25B speakers, wala pa box.

It is now relegated as the bedroom setup with my 1st DIY speakers.

^congrats on your purchase....
if the speakers are the cart and the amp is the horse,
then is always good to find the horse when you have a cart on hand,
that is what i used to tell those who consult with me...
