Title: Need suggestion: Onkyo 608, Onkyo 373, Pioneer vsx 531 and Pioneer vsx 1021

Hi fellow Pinoydvd members,

Im on a hunt for a new receiver to replace my pioneer 1022. The choices i have comes down to these 4 receiver. Pre-owned Pioneer 1021 which is a 120V. An Pre-owned Onkyo 608 which is 220V. And an entry level reciever Onknyo 373 brandnew as well as pioneer 531brandnew. My budget is limited that is why i narrowed down my choices to thses 4 receivers. My requirement is olain and simple as long as the receiver can drive my whafedale crystal 4 FS speaker, wharfedale WH-2 center, wharfedale WH-2 surround speakers. Im not into the blows and whistles ng network connectivity as I have a xiaomi mi box 3 to do all this task and send the audio processing sa receiver. Any input is much appreciated. Planning to buy 1 of my choices these coming weekends.

what about a denon x540? maganda entry level sya sir

go for any brandnew Denon x5xxBT models or the Onkyo 353 110V sold in our MP (electrohaus_lp)

Your Mi Box can play 4K sources from Netflix so I would suggest you go for any entry level receiver that supports 4K para you don't have to replace it for awhile

Hi, what model did you end up buying and how much? My friend is looking to buy his 1st receiver and budget is also limited.

Got the Denon X540BT. got it from Listening room in megamall for 16500. I chose an entry level receiver as it can passthrough 4K signal and HDR ready. I'm now on the hunt para sa 4K TV as I already have a Mi box that can passthough 4K signal din.

Sa akin 4k passthru receiver ang kulang, have the 4K tv and Mi box. But don't have any plans yet to change my current receiver.

You're absolutely right sir Nelson, I just bought a samsung 6103 to complete the upgrade. It's been 5 years since my last upgrade. But it's all worth it. The entire family is happy with the upgrade, They all appreciate the bigger screen with higher resolution. Im now thinking of selling my Hitachi PJ-TX200 projector and screen which I sparingly use na kasi it's only 720P native resolution.
