I know local broadcasts and movies are displayed in 720p. Do you think they will move past this to say 1080p when 8K TVs become mainstream in the mid 2020s?

Skycable has ABS-CBN channel in HD. But it reverts to SD when broadcasting movies and other third party shows.

local over the air broadcast nga yata is lower than 480p eh

anyway sa usa din naman, usually 720p or 1080i lang

it seems still the best way to watch movies at home is via hard copy or via streaming
