Will be using it mainly for watching movies, netflix.
Already checked some posts here and saw some reviews for Hisense, TCL, etc.
-
I would still recommend you go for the leading brands, for the color processing, durability and after-sales service: Samsung (their 6 and 7 series are good priced entry level good buys), LG (if you can afford their top-of-line C8 OLED) and Sony (good Android TV system).
-
Before we could recommend, we should know your budget first...

Around 30k budget po ano marerecommend niyong 55" model and brand ng tv? Currently looking at Samsung RU series or LG UM series

Ah yes, sorry posted this before I finished reading that thread. Mukhang pass na ako dun sa TCL.
Between LG 50UM7500PPA and Samsung UA55RU7100GXXP, which one do you think is better?
-
Samsung just because of the 5 inches difference. biggest you can get is better as what everyone has said before.
Olats ang TCL. I regret getting one myself because very limited customization as to the apps you can install. PQ is ok naman sana.
-
PQ is okay price-wise? If same size yung samsung and lg, samsung pa rin ba yung better? Dami ko questions, sorry. Read that Samsung with VA panels has better blacks.
Meron kami LG 42LS700, bought this around 2012 and it is still working. Im looking to buy a new tv hoping na mapili ko yung same quality and reliability ng LG 42LS700.
We will mostly use this TV for watching movies, Netflix and other streaming platforms. Maybe some PS5 gaming on the side too pag na release na. Haha

Saw both and bought the Samsung RU7100. See similar comment by seller welcrs- Samsung brighter and overall more brilliant colors. LG’s color engine has darker hues. Plus, I prefer Samsung’s VA panel over LG’s IPS panel, somehow, Samsung has sharper definition, no “smoothening” of details that I observed in LG’s glass IPS panel, somehow, the glass adds a layer like a magnifying lens over the image. But LG’s IPS has wider viewing angle, i.e., even from the corner, image still clear. Would choose LG for their OLED (i.e., LG C8) over Samsung top-of-line Q series though.

looking for tv with best colors and contrast. size 50 to 55 inches. budget up to 50k

Just an update guys, ended up extending my budget and getting the Samsung 55NU8000. Chose the 2018 model because it has 2 years warranty vs 1 year warranty of 2019 models.

im planning to buy a new tv on my living room, ideal size is around 55”... im coming from an entry level samsung 4k hdr tv, should i get a qled like the samsung q60r or just the regular ru7100? Or are there other options? Budget is around 60k.
Cause i cant afford yet the prices of oled tv yet..
Will the difference of qled and led literal that big (in terms of picture quality) will mostly used the tv watching netflix, nba league pass and sometimes cable tv...

For me, just a regular tv is fine in the living room.

30k budget for 55" panel. Whats the best bang for the buck?
-
Just add a bit more, get a Samsung, you won’t regret it: picture quality, color engine, smart tv apps, after-sales service support.
-
I've got the TCL 55 at SM appliance during their promo last March for 23k, i think it is now retailing for 26k. Bang for the buck, I know it is not the best but I'm satisfied with the purchase, got netflix and ISDB tuner and I can recommend it if you're in a budget. I prefer to use Xidoo for media playing and youtube as I'm more familiar with it's remote.

LG shootout: OLED vs "NanoCell" IPS panel
The difference is pretty obvious even after calibration. Kudos to the sales rep at the store for helping me out.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190826/5a7fab94cfecaf9d9dec6cb2d72fbdde.jpg)
