Does anybody have any recommendation on reputable projector repair shops/tech south of MM, near Laguna? I would want to attempt to repair my projector but am quite busy with work. Also, I do not have a dust free workplace and wouldn't want to risk contaminating the optics.
My Acer H6510BD has been faulty for a while now. It goes into a temp protect mode after 5 minutes, but everything functions as expected up until the forced shutdown.
There are 2 fans in the projector: the fan for the lamp is visibly and audibly okay. The main board fan is not in sight, so is suspect. Lamp is well within operating lamp hours.
Acer service is inconveniently far. I also question their costs and duration assessments based on a previous call a few months ago.

seems like it needs to go to the SC but knowing how much they charge your better off getting a new one.
anyways have you tried their forum?

Update: The COVID situation gave me time to "butingting ebriting", including this projector that was already gathering dust in my cabinet.
I took the risk of buying a replacement fan from Shopee, even if I am not sure it was faulty: https://shopee.ph/product/170280025/5644152909 (https://shopee.ph/product/170280025/5644152909)
For <500 pesos shopee purchase, some german disassembly instructions from Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFVbIvA6Zas (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFVbIvA6Zas), and a lot of patience, was able save myself from a new projector purchase, or a repair estimated by SC for about 20k.
Hope this helps those who are in the same predicament.
