Title: Help! My projector suddenly cant detect my hdmi
Post by: globalbit on Jul 22, 2019 at 08:31 PM
Issue:
After long time of not using my home theatre, it suddenly cant detect my HDMI to project the image on my screen.

My setup:
1 onkyo receiver
5 speaks with sub
1 media player
1 projector

Media player is connected into my projector. My receiver is connected to my prijector. All speakers connected to receiver.

Troubleshoot done:
1. I removed my HDMI plugged fro lm receive to my projector. I directly plugged my media player into both HMDI 1 and HDMI 2 and my projector works.

Conclusion: Projector, HDMI wire, Media player are all working

2. I removed hdmi to my projector and tried inserting it directly into my TV but using a different shorter wire that is initially plugged into my TV.

Conclusion: All are working.

What could be the problem why my projector isn’t projecting the image? Is it because I’m using a cheaper HDMI wire (long wire). Can someone pls recommend a technician who can check my setup and check what probably goes wrong?

Thanks!

according to some in avsforum, hdmi in pj's are sensitive to signal loss when non-compliant long hdmi wires are used.
I remember someone here is selling those "tested" long hdmi wires.
