Title: For 65 inch TV, choosing between Samsung Q60 and Sony X8507g
Post by: loverlionus on Feb 03, 2020 at 03:59 PM
Hi all,
Looking for a 65 inch TV and choosing  between these 2 models. Already looked at both in the store, offers at P 80 to 85k for 1 year (cannot pay in cash). The use will be mostly 1080 and some 4k movies.

Your inputs qould be appreciated. Thanks.

Many PDVDers (me, included) had problems with the plasma models released several years ago.

And since 2019, Samsung has lowered their warranty coverage to only 1 year, which I think is a bad deal considering the price of their TV's.

Anyways, for your budget, you can get the LG 55 C9.  And it's an OLED too, far better picture quality, albeit in a slightly smaller screen.

Also, the Sony 65 X8000g can be bought for just under ₱50k these days (cash is probably at ₱48k, card maybe ₱52k).  You might want to check Anson's for that.

But if you mean the Sony 65 X9507g, ₱85k for 0% 12 months is a good deal.

Thanks, there is a Sony X8507g, though I cant find any reviews online. Q60 reviews are not enthusiastic, mostly saying lack in brightness because it is edge lit. But am coming from a 42 inch Toshiba which I'm not if even HD, so will definitely have an improvement. Thanks again for the comment.
