Loved it and how they recreated the time. Of course Beth was great from teenager to woman, but i have to give props to the mom, Alma. Director pala sya but her performance was just pitch perfect.
Natawa ako kasi si Benny, who used to be the kid from Love Actually, was advising some of his chess fans to work out pero sya mismo e  tingting sa payat.
Tapos si Beltik used to be the fat cousin of Harry Potter.
My only nitpick is how Beth could so easily get over her addiction. She just stopped.

ganda. actors were great, cinematography is outstanding, OST is good, writing is top notch.
too bad mukhang walang second season as the novel it is based on has already been covered in S1.

i also wonder how much they spent on the production as everything looks like it's from the mid 20th century.

bonus pa since i was a chess player from my school so naiintindihan ko 'yung mga openings :D

I was expecting a far more disastrous event to happen before the final episode.....

And Townes is gay, right? Boylet nya yung roommate nya sa hotel nung ininterview nya si beth.  Kaya di sila naging item.

I just started this and I am hooked! Im kinda crushing on Nya Taylor Joy, too! There's just something about her face in this show tha's kinda mesmerizing. Its probably the pout hehehe....

Beautiful eyes. Though she has said that she was bullied in school because of the position of her eyes. Other kids said she has "fish eyes". Who's laughing now?  ;)
