^ Parang reboot pala ito ng original '70s TV series ni David Carradine.

Edit: the more appropriate word is re-imagining.

I have not started watching this show, so I can't say anything about its quality, but I think proper Asian representation out wins any gender swap issue. As many know, the original concept for the 70's series was from Bruce Lee and he was supposed to be the lead star. As the controversy goes, Warner Bros "stole" Lee's ideas and casted a white American for the lead. Of course, at that time Asians were not considered as bankable leading stars. So I guess this 2021 show is a sort of return of the "property" to its Asian roots.

I didn't watch the 70s series. I saw a few episodes on cable during re-runs.  But I was under the impression the white lead character was by design.  Giving him the legendary status as the only white Kung Fu master who trained in the East.

Seeing the premiere episode last night, I found it to be a bit corny. It was your standard CW show with at least the gay character being introduced right off the bat.

It is corny indeed. Yes it is your standard CW corny show with another gay character being thrown at you. That is CW for all of us. Female dominated and gay characters left and right.

Not impressed with the fight choreography or the lack of it. Again typical CW. I thought it to be close to the Warrior series. But this is anything but.

Not for me.

^  I have no problem with gay or LGBTQ characters, but bad fight choreography in a show titled "Kung-Fu" is something else. So scratch this off from my to-watch list. Hehe.

Sayang nga the TV series could be better talaga. Kung similarity between David Carradine's Kung Fu and this one is they have the same very lame kung fu fight choreography. Parang crazy rich asian pa dating nung sister nya.

Try ko pang panuorin 2nd episode hahaha!
