First episode-- directed by Michael Mann-- has no car chases or shootouts but maintains a remarkable tension.

Ganda nito. Binged all 5 available episodes in 1 go.

Finished Season 1. A bit too slow in parts and not as thrilling as I would have preferred, but this look into the Yakuza underworld is still intriguing enough to keep my attention. Will follow it to a Season 2.

I'm just about to finish the first season and will watch the second one after all the episodes are out.
It's a great look into the criminal underworld of Tokyo from a quarter of a century ago. Those familiar with Japan and the late 90's will see a few gaffes here and there but, by and large, the series is quite authentic to the time and period.
I hope the second season is even better than the first.

much better ang season 2, down to last 2 eps na lang.
-
watched ep 9 twice. best episode so far. nagulat ako sa eksena ni Tin tin :(
-
Great ending! For me, Shogun and this are among the best series this year.

Slow start for me. I saw Episode 1 of Season 2, has not motivated me to move to the next ep.
