I guess they had to launch it last night - before the official launch date today, because of the very high demand.

I believe the Philippine version is not yet officially available in the Philippines for the firestick.  You can sideload it, though.   There are instructions in this FB Group.

Wala ring IMAX versions. :(

We do get more Indian and Korean content, though, which is probably a better value for most subscribers in the PH.

I wonder if maa-access ang US content with a Philippine subscription if may VPN?  Parang ibang app kasi ang sa Pilipinas, unlike Netlix na one app for all.    May nakasubok na?  ::)

I am about to ask the same. Walang Atmos/Dolby 5.1. Hassle.
Dolby Vision lang, sana magkaroon in the future.

I subscribe via monthly.  Para pwede patangal if ever. hehe.

Umalis na muna ako sa netflix, wala na maganda na shows eh.

Ito yung description ng concurrent users sa site nila:

"Premium Plan subscribers  can enjoy content on any 4 devices simultaneously. Logging into Disney+ using any additional device will result in 1 of the previously logged in devices to be automatically logged out."

So only 4 devices can be logged in whether viewing or not.

Because it's searching for the Disney + US app. The one that I installed in my phone and TV is Disney + Asia PTE. It took a while for my LG TV remote to start launching the correct app, at first it kept on looking for the US app despite installing the one for the Philippines.

You can download the installation file (apk file) to your PC, then send it to the android device (there's an app called Send files to TV in the playstore), then use the file to install to your android TV.

Disney+ released an advisory (https://help.apps.disneyplus.com/ph/en/support/support/solutions/articles/65de1051809fc47da9a9e3e9) to subscribers in the Philippines regarding an increase in the price of its subscription plans.

The subscription fee for the Disney+ Basic Plan (previously the Disney+ Mobile Plan) will increase from ₱159 to ₱249 for monthly subscriptions, and from ₱1,150 to ₱1,990 for annual subscriptions. For the Disney+ Premium Plan, the subscription fee will increase from ₱369 to ₱519 for monthly subscriptions, and from ₱2,950 to ₱4,190 for annual subscriptions.

Existing subscribers who choose to cancel their subscription prior to the renewal date will continue to have access to Disney+ until the end of the current billing period. After cancellation, users may resubscribe to another Disney+ plan.

My subscription to HBO GO is up for renewal next month. Annual subscription is still unchanged at P1,190.

Wonder why HBO won't bring MAX to SEA. HBO Go is meant for mobile hence the name. But their price is still the best.

I would seriously consider getting Max but a definite no for me for HBO Go.

Disney Password-Sharing Crackdown for Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ Accounts Will Begin in June

Some subscribers to Disney‘s streaming services will start seeing some new messaging up this summer: Pay up for anyone outside your main household who’s illicitly piggybacking on the services — or face potentially getting disconnected.

According to Disney chief Bob Iger, the Mouse House this June will “be launching our first real foray into password sharing” enforcement. Iger, during an interview Thursday on CNBC, said the initial launch will be “just a few countries in a few markets” (he didn’t identify them) then “will grow significantly with a full rollout in September.”

The initial communications to Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ customers will prompt password-borrowers to start their own subscriptions, the company has said previously. Later in 2024, account holders who want allow access to individuals outside their household will be able to add them for an additional fee.
