Caught this over the weekend out of curiosity since my wife is a fan of Ali Wong.  It's brilliantly written and probably the best comedy series I have watched since the pandemic started.  Basically, it's about how road rage can upend the lives of two people and disrupt everyone else around them.

I expected to see a thread on PDVD about it but there doesn't seem to be any.  If there is already one in existence, I guess we can just merge threads.

I think there is no existing separate thread for this yet, although there are a few comments on the "Recently Discovered TV Shows You Might Not Have Heard About Yet" thread.

Here are my own....

Beef (Netflix) - Smartly written adult drama series with dashes of dark comedy and thriller elements. Superbly acted by Steven Yeun and Ali Wong together with an able supporting cast. The road rage set-up might seem familiar, but the direction the show goes and escalates to is quite absorbing. The characters are never simply in black or white, but shades of gray -- all very fallible, flawed and deeply human. There are portions when it can be a hard watch, but it does pay off in the end.

‘Beef’ Creator Lee Sung Jin “Definitely Ready” For A Season 2, Reveals Show Was Pitched As Anthology

Lee Sung Jin is ready to cook up more Beef.

Backstages at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, the hit Netflix show’s creator revealed that more seasons was always the plan, even if it has heretofore been discussed as a limited series, including tonight as it won the prize for Best Limited Series, Anthology Series, Made for Television Movie.

“We always pitched the season to buyers as an anthology series. There was always going to be new characters,” Jin explained. “Whether it stays limited or turns as an anthology or we continue existing, that’s really up to Netflix. But whatever they decide, I’m definitely ready.”
