Rich Man, Poor Man. Loved the book. Nick Nolte and Ed Asner were aptly cast.

Tales of the City - More Tales of the City - Further Tales of the City

I love these Armistead Maupin-penned series!  It's got, ehem, nudity, convenient plot twists (almost to the point of being absurd and sooo funny) , melodrama, everything to keep everyone entertained.  Highly recommended.

The Kingdom (Lars Von Trier)

Astounding, scary, intelligent.  I hope part 2 comes out soon.

I loved the book Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer. I remember searching for these on betamax, hehe.

A recent fave: the BBC's adaptation of Charles Dickens' Bleak House. Gillian Anderson astounds again as Lady Dedlock although she was upstaged at the BAFTAs by her co-star Anna Maxwell Martin as the orphan Esther Summerson. Fast-moving adaptation. The ensemble was perfect. One of the few Dickensian productions that did not put me to sleep. It even made me eager to finish the whole series as soon as possible.

BBC's Pride And Prejudice (1996)

Feeling ko when I get my hands on The Stand with Gary Sinise, may competition na si Fitzwilliam ko ;D

ETA:

Reuven, where did you see Bleak House? Kaka-inggit ka naman  :)

They are available online hehe. Will lend our copies to you. Just holler.  ;)

Was just previewing the first episode last Sunday but we were so engrossed with the story that we had to finish all of 'em by Monday.

Also, Roots and Rich Man, Poor Man

If it's considered a mini-series, Decalogue

Not that good, but I still watched them: Winds of War, Thorn Birds,
