Title: KoreanDvds.com
Post by: cineaste on Oct 17, 2004 at 08:37 AM
Has anyone ever tried ordering from KoreanDvds.com?

I came across their site and the really cheap prices of their dics (some are as low as $3) make it very attractive.

However, they have a disclaimer that if the discs were produced in Korea, these are under strict censorship and frontal nudity and excessive violence are cut-out.

Not that I'm really looking for those kind of shots, but I'd rather filter scenes on my own than have some censor tell me what should or should not be put in my dvd  >:(

Questions:
1.  Are they reliable (ordering and delivery, billing) ???
2.  Do they really censor? ???

Thanks  O0

;D In answer to your questions:

As to the first, I believe they're reliable. Hindi kasi registered mail so mas expedited. I ordered HERO UE from them and it arrived at the QC NIA Post in less than 10 days though I  got it  at a later date as post service really sucked. If I didn't personally picked the item up, I would have waited forever for their notification.

As the second, that is a risk we have to take but I don't think they're that toooo conservative when it comes to mature contents of a film.   With that caveat, we just have to exercise discretion and prudence  with whatever we order from that site.

Hope this helps

koreandvds do not censor the films.. the regulatory board and the manufacturing studio censor the films based on existing government policies..

be careful with streetsales since these dvds, though cheap, have low quality cover arts and are usually spin offs from original western dvd releases/transfers.. not sure about the legitimacy of  these dvds...

may naka-experience na ba sa inyong magbalik ng dvd kasi may sira? this is just my first time to order a dvd online, and sa koreandvd ako kumuha.

also, ano mas preferred niyo? regular airmail or express mail via EMS?

never experienced any returns so far.. i use regular mail.. ang mahal ng EMS though the service is tax (prepaid) covered.. :)

yup post office lagi.. no courier service from koreandvds. you may want to try yesasia if you want your orders delivered by a courier.

no concrete solution keating... with yesasia, just make sure you know more or less the titles or films you are looking for.

be careful with koreandvds' titles, they are selling some titles which are considered bootlegs. unfortunately, they are not aware that those are illegitimate discs.

be careful of the street sales featuring disney and criterion titles for a low price.  no one wants to be ripped off this early in the game. 8)

bootlegs are illegal dvd copies.  street sales when they sell dvd titles (with usually high prices in R1) for $3.00 to $9.00.

bro, question lang. do you really have to use red when you post? para kasing note ng mods at nagugulat ako.   8)

So i guess I'm back to good old YesAsia.com.  Very reliable.   :-*Very efficient.  ^-^ I once returned a disc to them (there were scratches which made it skip).  Since there weren't any stocks left, they gave me a rebate instead.

I don't like having my discs sent via EMS.  You gotta pick it up at NIA which is a loooonnnngggg waaaayyyy from QC. :-[

bro keating, so far no reports or news of bootleg Limited Editions from koreandvds. re the bootleg reports, the criterion titles are found to be direct lift from criterion R1 releases. even kingkong  LE was lifted from the criterion laser disc edition that's why they stop selling the LE title.

my main concern is the cancellation of orders which is usually made a week after release date.. hassle kasi. lost opportunities.

and yes, they charge agad even for preorders.. similar procedure with CD WOW.

Yeasia naman, always late in posting titles and not prompt in answering emails...

Thanks for the info....hem. Hassle nga if you pre-ordered the title then they cant ship it like what they did to your TROY Lim. Ed.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will do wonders again to me if I ship it to our local P.O. in Caloocan.  :)

you may email koreandvds so they can explain the type of package, parcel number and other pertinent details.

hope this would really bring down cost as the dvd prices from this store continue to go up and up and up.... :(

weird promo cause you can technically get a discount by sending the invitation to your new email address and accessing that to make your initial purchase.

a separate credit central facility would not enable them to detect if you are using the same credit card.

right?

My package from koreandvds finally arrived!  ;D Package was stamped by Las Pinas PO on November 19, 2004 then stamped by Ayala Alabang PO on November 23, 2004.  ;D The weird part is it was stamped by the Korean PO on November 11, 2004! Apparently, all the delay was on koreandvds side and NOT with our local POs!  :-X Sorry to the Las Pinas PO & Alabang PO people for lambasting them. I made the order at koreandvd around Oct 25 and on my account info it showed the package was sent out the 28th... I was mad at our PO for nothing actually...   :-[ :-X If you look at the delivery times, they got it to me rather quickly... Sorry again ;)

Here's another sad thing.. I ordered a Reservoir Dogs dvd from koreandvds which was supposedly on sale for $3.99. Looking at the cover art & keep case now, it looks worse than a pirated dvd. The cover art looks like it was printed by a cheap colored printer. The print at the back has a lot of typo errors and wrong grammar (ex. Labguage, Delet scenes, Quentin Tarantio). Some of the print were also cut   when they probably cut the paper for sticking to the case. I guess the price was really too good to be true. I've seen better quality cover art for pirated dvds. I was confident in ordering this because the exact version show up on DVD Profiler for the Korean release. Copy na lang siguro itong nakuha ko.  :(

I did order a Ninja Scrolls DTS dvd as well and that looks perfectly fine. It's in a clear Amaray case ala Sipder-man 2 with a cardboard slip case. Got that one for $6.99

So ingat pala talaga when odering from koreandvds. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is.  :P

Eli, it's Police Story Trilogy cost at $31.86 & Delivery was $12.90.  I got it na 5 days after release. It was my first pre-order experience at Koreandvd.com. Yes that's true. It's a bit pricey but rest assured of fast & safe delivery  :)  The Police story Trilogy has 3 movies so if the cost is spread out over 3 dvds..not bad...  ;D On the other hand if it's only a single dvd...hm.... masakit  :-[

Yes, they delivered direct to my office so it's very convenient if you don't mind the high shipping cost  ;)

Received my latest order from Koreandvds.com (Black Hawk Down, Superbit Deluxe LE & A Better Tomorrow LE) today which was placed on 27 Nov. So that's about 10 days! A bit slow compared to my previous order which only took 5 days.  The package received is in good condition. :)

Sir pchin, was this thru EMS again? My order was shipped supposedly Nov. 29 but from previous experience, I received them 3 weeks later..

Yes Eli, I used EMS. Is your order already released or just pre-order as this may delay your shipment. In your previous experience, perhaps you had selected the standard shipment that caused the 3-week delivery period? Let me know your order 29 Nov when u received it.  :)

Yes, it still was thru standard as I found the EMS too expensive. I ordered Malena & Black Hawk Down SDE. The delay before was actually with koreandvds and let me correct myself.. it was more than 4 weeks pala..

I will update everyone as soon as they arrive  :)

all this time.. i thought EMS is tax prepaid.. if this is the case, no tax is due for local customs in the country of destination, right?

$12.90 can be considered a big savings.. compared to customs tax which is P500 minimum..

really interested.. ill try to order using EMS next month.. di na kaya ngayon.. :)

hey guys..  thought you would like to know...

have chatted with one of the owners of this online store and i regret to inform you that they will no longer be accepting orders from our country in the coming weeks... reason being. 30-40% of orders sent are lost. i have asked him to continue accepting orders provided that EMS would be used. no concrete and absolute answer whatsover came from him.

if this would be the case.. too sad for our DVD collectors here... btw, China would also be removed from the list.. and he gave me some sort of trivia.. they received only 1% reported lost in UK..

jeckjeck, i tried talking to the owner and he told me that orders from the Philippines is small in numbers and not as bulky as other countries and cant be considered "enough" volume for reconsideration. i asked him also about seoulselections.com's cheap courier service (but high customs taxes) and i got a reaction as if he doesn't care. well maybe it's just me.. you can catch michael via MSN messenger.. he blames our local post office for missing packages as if he was a native.. knowledge, i guess came from koreandvds research group.. if that exists.

Hi Paul,

We're quite quick to point accusing fingers to the Post Office, and rightly so, as we've had numerous experience in this regard.  But I'd like to point out that there are also buyers who report to online sellers that they've lost their packages even if they receive them hoping to make a quick buck for the "extra" copies the online sellers usually send.  They have the Post Office as a ready alibi.  We should also be vigilant in denouncing them as they are also contributory to the fact that slowly but surely the Philippines is losing its credibility and place in the online trade industry.

Just venting out.

voj

p.s.  Sad to say that I don't have statistics to back up this claim, but have heard a lot of anecdotal experiences.
Title: Re: KoreanDvds.com
Post by: hemisphere on Dec 21, 2004 at 06:38 PM
sir vojdiaz, with all due respect, i think the only solution in this case is a delivery confirmation shipping method which would serve as the contract signifying the receipt of the merchandise. though EMS is hurtful in our pockets, this would ensure that the item would be delivered fresh from the online merchant.. ideally of course, this should be the case.

regarding some members claiming that they have not received the item and ask for a replacement, though we know that this practice exists, we cannot prove this kind of circumstances in black and white for the simple reason that no one would admit that they have been engaging themselves in such practice.

i find merits in your stand regarding this topic, what we can do now as buyers/collectors is to question the acquisition process of each seller or collector... but that is a different subject altogether.

on the other hand, PO office bulk of my LE orders in las pinas post office were lost for reasons i cannot understand. i end up sending my packages as far as davao and pampanga just to ensure that near theft experiences would be minimized.. and then came AiR21..

oh well.. where are we to go?  ???

Well, I was sort of half-expecting that losing the Philippine market would not be a big ouch to them... maybe keeping us in is not worth the problems that they encounter... no businessman in his right mind would allow his company to lose money...

Is there any alternative online store now for Korean R3 and even HongKong releases?

funny.. during my last conversation with "someone" from koreandvds.. i was singled out as one of their most difficult client.. imagine their frustration when during the TROY LE battle, i have continually shoot 3-4 pages of rebuttal and reasons why i deserve the Limited Edition item, everyday for 5 days.. anyhow, he was having a bad day and he admitted of being pressured (and irritated) regarding multiple "bypassing" (his term) by customers of their 25% promo.... anyhow, i asked one by one some "room for improvement" and he was immediately set on fire.. really raging.. i guess this is a case of language and cultural barrier so to speak. i was direct but polite. he was offended. like the song.. "words get in the way".. .. hehehehehe.  before our conversation ended.. he was able to cool down and discuss company details with me.. friendly din pala...

btw, Koreandvds is a family business and they only act as mediator, a direct to supplier, direct to consumer service. the reason they cant be as comprehensive in terms of rules, policy, et al is that only a few people are involved in the operation. to quote him, it's a mom & pop thing.. not sure what that means... father and mother i supposed..

anyhow, hope i was able to comfort him and encourage him to continue accepting orders from the Philippines.  from what i have felt,  i think he only need"s" to hear good news and a tap on the shoulder from the Philippines and from all the collectors here.

beyond occasional glitches, Koreandvds after all is the best korean dvd online store in asia.. hope you take some time today to email him your own positive perspectives..

;)

I really hope KoreanDVDs reconsiders. They continue to be my favorite online store this side of Asia, and they've never let me down.

What voj pointed out is true, btw. Theft and faud are the same reasons why Deepdiscount and Buy.com blacklisted us, and why Amazon allegedly has us on their watchlist. If Amazon starts banning Pinoy credit cards, that'll be a black day for PinoyDVD.
Title: Re: KoreanDvds.com
Post by: hemisphere on Dec 23, 2004 at 02:44 PM
agree with firewired and VOJ. 101%

but i cannot make both ends meet when i check every thread and figure out that only few collectors (at least in PinoyDVD) purchase or sell korean released dvds. therefore, i guess the chances of packages being lost is kinda slim.

also, when i suggested that koreandvds use DHL (similar to seoulselection.com shipment method ), he told me that "volume orders from the Philippines is not that big... and (also) cheaper EMS shipment method does not exist".

whoa!!!  im still wondering now if the Philippine market is too small to be "bypass(ed)" or too significant to a point that liabilities has affected profits in the process...

amidst all these, koreandvds reps are politically correct in addressing this situation. the rep was crystal clear in pointing out that packages are lost in the post office and not in the hands of pinoy collectors or consumers.  oh well..

where are we to go? where are we ever to go?

i think it's a legit copy and a good buy. the R1 SPR CC (only) release has no DTS track while this one has. this case is similar to spiderman 1 superbit (korean release) which is 2 discs. the second disc is a replication of the Spiderman SE's 2nd disc. nevertheless, a better buy.

also, when i chat with koreandvds owner via MSN, he mentioned this set and persuaded me to get it. got the R1, so no reason to double dip.. but i would recommend this set for the price alone.. di ka na lugi i guess..

just not sure if this is in digipack or if they use english in the contents..

My Black Hawk Down SDE and a free dvd of Romance and Rejection by Kevin Smith was delivered today at my house and paid only P30. That was fast, 2 days after it was shipped last Dec. 27. Based on the tracking no. from EMS, koreandvds.com is shipping to the Phils. through Phil. Airlines Cargo which has daily flights from Ichon to Manila. So it depends on the PO employees if they are efficient enough to deliver them on time. Sana nag-ems na rin ako sa pre-ordered Saving Private Ryan, kaya lang lalabas kasi na mas mahal pa yung ems shipping sa dvd so I used standard. Now, I'll email a thank you note to koreandvds for fast delivery. :)

Declined. Sorry this transaction has been declined by your card issuer. No further information was passed to WorldPay as part of your confidentiality agreement with your card issuer. You may wish to try another card.

Initially I thought baka credit limit problems but I tried 3 different VIsa cards all with the same result. All 3 are current and have more than enough credit limit so I am not sure what the problem is. 2 of these cards I just recently used for Amazon purchases and okay naman.  ???

really now?? ::)

papalitan ko na signature ko...   ;) At least we were not completely cut-off by them... If I am ordering from them, I'll make sure susulitin ko yung EMS nila...  ;D

Pesteng postal service kasi natin eh...  >:( Sana gawing Post Master si Bayani Fernando o si Sen. Mar Roxas  ;D... o kaya si Mon Tulfo... hehehehe

today would be the 38th day from the time I received the notice from koreandvds that they had already shipped my order... I am resigned to the fact na naging X'mas gift na yung Black Hawk Down SDE and Malena ko... Lesson learned... never order during the Holidays  >:(

Speaking of Malena, I was surprised to see this being aired on SkyCable Cinema One (Channel 22) last Sunday... It was dubbed in Tagalog though  ;D... Funny watching Monica Bellucci speaking Tagalog... Of course, daming cuts but the scene where she was beaten up by the crowd for sleeping with the Germans was overlooked... her right breast was exposed for several seconds as it was hanging out of her torn dress...  :o hehehe sorry OP

Got my Big Fish Special LE today :)...nice package...got a different scene for the refrigerator magnet...Ewan Mcgregor is talking to a little girl with the these words written under it...Sometimes in a dream, you'll visit places that seem instantly familiar......sorry haven't seen the movie yet so I can't tell which part of the movie it was :(

Sayang nandito na rin sana Saving Private Ryan ko, (shipped at the same time as Big Fish but ordered earlier), if I used EMS instead of ordinary air mail :(

Koreandvds already responded to my lost package inquiry...  :)
I actually do not blame koreandvds if they wanted to pull out of the Philippine market because of lost packages... it's really a big loss for them  :o

Just a suggestion... maybe we can all save on the EMS if we put our orders together... I mean for those who know each other or have dealt with each other before and are comfortable doing this, maybe we could do it....

Anyone who has plans of ordering from koreandvds can either post it here or PM a fellow member so that anyone who wants to have something ordered can do so therefore members can share the EMS cost... but HONESTY is needed here like equitably dividing the EMS cost...  ;D Am I wishing for the moon here?  ;D ???

I wanted to order kasi the Fish LE but EMS would be $17+. I thought of buying 2 since the EMS cost would be the same and just sell the other one with a mark up to off set part of EMS...

that's a good idea. i know some groups who are actually doing this not only for koreandvds but for all the online stores. you may start with your small group and check if you can save moneys in the process.

also, what you can do is wait for the right time, consolidate all the items you want, and check out for single shipment... also, you may purchase 2-3 items and sell the surplus in the marketplace.

My recently delivered Big Fish LE (weight=300g) was charged only $12.90 for EMS.... I got Black Hawk Down SE (weight=360g) before and was charged only $12.90 for EMS....I also ordered last saturday Spider-man Superbit and Fight Club SE both are 2 discs sets(combined weight=380g) in one shipment and was charged only $12.90 for EMS....the only time I was charged $17.90 for EMS was when I tried ordering Dances With Wolves Director's Cut (weight=550g)...all shipment plus box weight of 80g. I guess if you don't go over 500g, EMS is $12.90.

your right aeris! it is only $12.90 for the Big Fish (300g), the $17.05 was for 2 discs... even then if someone shares the $17.05 with me, that's only $8.50 versus $12.05 which saves me about P490... I could actually order more to offset the EMS but no other discs interested me...  ;D

I am going to order tonight... got a couple of offers already  ;D

Just an FYI to all...

I tried purchasing using an AIG Visa card yesterday and was again declined immediately so I switched to MasterCard which was approved right away....

I called a friend at AIG Cards and asked him about it. They did see this time that the transaction was sent to them for approval but was declined immediately because the system being used by the Merchant did not comply with Visa International systems. Apparently, Visa upgraded their system for 2005 and koreandvds' system has not met the new requirements set by Visa. I am unsure if this only applies to AIG Visa but I was also declined previously using Citibank Visa and HSBC Visa so I guess for all ito.

MasterCard transactions went very smoothly though.

a bit OT, but i just want to comment on the Visa/Mastercard thingy.  i had that same problem way back in 2003.  i had been using my Visa for all online transactions when all of a sudden i had an order with columbiahouse that was cancelled because apparently visa had new security procedures and i guess the merchant didn't meet those standards.  switched to mastercard after that and have encountered no problems so far.

FYI lang so we won't get billed twice on our orders. I just found out from Standard Chartered bank, issuer of the Mastercard that I used in ordering from koreandvds that I still have 4 hanging transactions from World Pay eStop when in fact these transactions were already posted on my credit card on different dates and I already got the dvds. I already emailed eStop and koreandvds regarding this matter and I'm still waiting for their reply. I also found out a similar situation posted on the forum board of koreandvds.  Anybody from you guys experienced this? Dates in question are those that appear as pre-authorization dates on the email sent by World Pay eStop after confirmation of our orders.

Kung meron ng entry sa date/time of arrival at the office of exchange nandito na yon...medyo mabagal lang siguro yung nag-dedeliver sa area nyo...Dito ako sa Proj. 2 Q.C. area...yung 2 previous EMS deliveries ko were done on the same day the package arrived...ngayon nga lang na-delay kasi weekend dumating...sigurado iisang shipment lang tayo, kasi thursday (jan. 13) ko nakuha yung email from koreandvds...pero yung actual date of dispatch is Jan. 14. Our Big Fish LEs arrived today! Just let me know when we can meet... Got ur text na Egg.

RNIverson my orders were shipped by Koreandvds Jan 13 and was received by local PO on Jan 15...
Got it today very late na past 6PM na yata dumating. I made sure to give a small tip to the delivery man this time.

One thing I noticed was that there was no cost printed or stamped on the box anymore. The first one I go thad the total price of the dvds on the box. Baka preventive measures na from koreandvds to avoid stolen packages.  ;D

Office of exchange is the Philpost office in pasay, i'm guessing it's located at NAIA. Kasi koreandvds is using Phil. Airlines Cargo in shipping their packages to the Phils. and daily ang flights from korea to manila which usually leaves korea around 10pm. So expect your package to be delivered the next working day...all these are based on my recent orders...but i'm sure sabay lahat dumating ang packages natin depende na lang sa assigned na taga-deliver at area kung ma-ideliver agad...

Last email I got from Koreandvds.com is to complain about lost packages after 40 days since they were sent out considering that the expected arrival time of the package is 10-15 days on regular shipping.    Kinakabahan tuloy ako and definitely with this time, I have already paid for the DVDs but no arrival of the discs yet.  This is my first time to order from them and I think 40 days is too long.  US Amazon's normal shipping is more reliable than the nearer Koreandvds.  And I haven't had any problems with Amazon so far.  Their packages arrive earlier and on time from the estimated time of arrival.

I am just keeping my fingers crossed in this order. :-[

For me, completely lost na talga yung package. It was shipped Nov. 29 but until now wala pa. I had several e-mail exchanges with koreandvds also since nag-forty days na yung package. The last e-mail they sent me was a confirmation that they have sent the replacements for my orders. Kaso lang they sent it also via standard shipping so I have to wait for another 15 to 30 days for it to arrive. Was already charged for that order sa credit card ko last December pa. Hope the replacements do not get "lost" again sa PO since OOP na yung 1 sa discs na order ko.  :-\

For EMS, korean can track the orders already until the reach Manila so I do not think they will replace any lost orders shipped thru EMS if they see that the package arrived in Manila. Less likely naman mawala pag EMS ang shipping method... I hope  ;)

Mahirap mawala kung EMS kasi may tracking info...if you check again your EMS tracking no., makikita mo yung date delivered and the name of one who received it...isa pa somebody has to sign for it....

There's a delay on shipping notice for Big Fish LE, Firesale Superbit and Hellboy dated Jan. 14, 2005 on the right hand side of koreandvds website. Maybe that's the problem why your order hasn't been shipped yet.

No problem, Compaq, but before you get this I suggest you get feedback from hemisphere first. He actually convinced me NOT to get this one.... :)

Ang target ko ngayon is the Bruce Lee Collection you posted... Kinompute ko na-- if I oder alone, total cost is about P4000++. Kung may 1 kasama, P3700++. Ang bigat kasi eh. The set is 650g.  ???

yikes.. actually, i am thinking if the HOTFD Korean LE is all worth it at P2200. i am more inclined to get the HOTFD HK LE release cause of the extra perks and OST. thanks to pchin for the pix.. medyo twice the price nga lang.. ill watch HOTFD tonight and maybe a third viewing would aid my decision which one to buy (again), the HK LE or the Korean LE.. if you are on a tight budget, the HK 2-disc is a better option at GBP 9.99.

to buy or not to buy, that is the question. well, you know me.. baka i might end up buying all releases.. ala LOTR yan..   ;D

Bruce Lee Collection
is nice too. it has been previously discussed in the R3 thread. packaging: 10; transfer: 8 cause one film was not handled well. pero, a collector must have yan if only for the packaging..  got mine for P4,200.

and while you're at it, check Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow Collector's Edition (dts 2 Disc) [HK Version]  with Bonus Gifts: 3D Fighter Figure, "Sky Captain" Computer Game Disc.

Ask ko lang po. Yesterday was the first time I ordered from KoreanDVDs (yung Sky Captain HK DVD everyone's drooling about). I had it delivered via standard airmall to Makati (so marahil sa Makati Central PO ang bagsak nun). Kanina ko lang nabasa dito na gargantuan ang charge for DVD's (US $26 lang yung order ko, kasama na yung shipping) sa MCPO (dati kasi books naman ang binibili ko from Amazon, pag below $ 50, storage fee lang). So finally, my question is pwede ko pa bang ipa-change yung shipping address? Since I study/work in UP, doon ko na lang siya ipapadeliver. Makakatakas kaya ako sa customs tax kung doon siya sa PhilPost sa UP ipadala? Please advise. Thanks!

nirvblakr, can you take a pic of the back cover art.. usually there is a certificate license printed for legit HK releases.. HK releases seldom include any extra insert or coupon. as we already know, koreandvds is notorious for selling unlicensed titles. issues were raised by international collectors with titles such as Naked Lunch, Rules of the Game, Notorius, Spartacus, Bambi, Cinderella, Pinocchio and other Disney and Criterion sold in their store. However... they also sell legit items for $3.00 a piece.. so you just have to check throroughly for a legit bargain..

btw, some sellers in the marketplace are selling some of these items so be careful.. .  ::)

I was able to use my citibank visa on my order 2 weeks ago. Don't use the "verified by visa" option. This is the new verification system of visa and philippine issued visa cards are not yet included. There's another option for regular visa processing. Hope this helps.

hey guys, sino sa inyo ang recently nag-order from koreandvds w/c less than $100? wala ba talagang declared value?

just got a package today, declared value is $126 and 2790g. fortunately, kahit may declared value, nde nakita ng customs. am i just lucky or may limit ang mga hinuhuli ng customs?

very lucky, indeed  ;)

i'm planning to order again kaya lang i-limit ko na rin sana to less than $100. accdg to koreandvds, if my order is $110 and i used a $11 mileage point, declared value would be $99. do you think it'll have a declared value in the box?

I wanted to, but can't coz they only accept paypal, verified by visa (new visa verification system and phil. issued visa is not yet included) and bank transfer. Shipping cost is expensive than koreandvds. They offer 4 types of delivery methods, EMS premium, EMS regular, parcel post (air) and small packet (air).

Sir hemisphere1234, di ba $17.05 lang ang EMS sa koreandvds? You can still add another regular dvd and EMS cost is still the same or 2 of ninja scroll LE will cost $21.66 for EMS. Kung dalawa kayong sabay bibili lalabas na $10 lang ang EMS if you share it.

from koreandvds regarding KFH LE korean release

The supplier had delivered way too short quanitity than originally promised. As the requirement for getting the LE, they tried to dump 3 regular editions on us per every LE that they give us. We have decided to ask those who purchased the HK version to get the Korean version as an alternative.

Title: Re: KoreanDvds.com

;D Hay naku, I did some balancing act these past few days and I think all this scramble over KFHLE whether HK or Korea is going to make me sick. The prices are way too steep now  and that little voice inside me told me to get TROY LE Wooden Case instead which I think is a far better collector's item and  EYE CANDY than the faux leather slip case and Stephen Chow palm impression all wrapped in a dent prone box (have you seen the pics? the box is paper thin!. Pwedeng pambalot ng gulay!  ;D )

So after that TROY purchase (the price is hindi na malayo sa KFHLE), I need to take some breather. Plans to buy KFHLE had gone awry and I have this principle, if it ain't yours, it's not gonna be yours ever. PERIOD. In time, I will have this KFH kahit na hindi LE.

Ito po'y opinyon ko lang so wag kayong magalit KOREANBOYTOYS here ( I mean you Jeckjeck, RNIverson, Compaq and Hemisphere) hahaha. I will still accept invites from you in case you order again from koreandvds. Oke?  ;D

like so many things.. it is not what is outside but what is inside that counts.. hehehehe..

for KFH LE, almost all orders delivered include a free watch and posters with them. added value i guess. also, i am so disappointed with the HOFD LE Korean PQ. if you can check the HOFD HK Release, you'll know what i mean.  lastly, in this case where an almost similar boxset is released, the country of origin i think is a better choice and has a better value in the future..

jeckjeck, agree. case to case basis siguro. i assure you though for HOFD, go for the HK LE for PQ and Sound, go for the Korean LE for the packaging. the korean HOFD LE is simply exquisite. with KFH LE, i guess the price is the best driver for purchase.  if you think the HK release is expensive, you may get the Korean LE.

blitz, i havent seen any pix of The Notebook LE. al i know is what i have read, OST is included. it would be nice if they produce a packaging using Freeks and Geeks R1 LE as peg.
