I was wondering if the season 3 is being sold at Php 600 each ?

I know that season 1 and 2 boxsets are selling for Php 1,800.

I don't understand why ASTRO SM CENTERPOINT charged me for Php 745 per piece of FRIENDS Season 3. :-(

Is this the real price or have I've been ripped off?

-jackryan 8)

Apparently, Friends Season 3 is not part of the 745 for 600 promo of the other Warner discs. But I came from SM Sucat this afternoon and they were selling it at 10% off. I assume all the Astro stores sell their products for the same price but I just don't know when the 10% off took effect. :(

Rumors are circulating that the Joey-Rachel is NEVER going to happen. Ross coming back to the scene is being worked out.

I think I will stop watching now before my beloved Joey gets crushed. :'( :'( :'(

anong episode na ba ng friends dyan ngayon sa US... may gusto ba talaga si Joey kay Rach... saang episode pinakita yun? ???  I don't know with you guys... for me, it seems na masyado nang gasgas yang Ross-Rachel thing, although parang awkward kung di sila magkakatuluyan... mukhang mas exciting Joey-Rachel para maiba naman...

It was a story arc for the show, starting with episode 8-12, "The One Where Joey Dates Rachel". It pretty much got shot down by episode 8-16, "The One Where Joey Tells Rachel".

I'm about to watch 8-18/19 right now. The next new episode of FRIENDS airs on April 25th in the States.

Well, NBC started showing the episode where Ross and Rachel "might" get back together .. and they kissed. This could be their season finale next month.

Ross has become such a loser that I can't believe a hottie like Rachel would still want to be with him. I am really having a hard time letting go of the Joey-Rachel tandem. I wonder how the writers are going to handle Joey's unrequited love when Ross and Rachel gets married.  Joey can't be over her that soon.

But next week, it is Rachel's baby shower and Monica failed to invite Rachel's mother. She will suffer the ex-Mrs. Green's wrath hehehe.

That's how it is on ABC 5.  They show the first five or so episodes first, then a rerun, another three or four episodes, then a rerun, and so on...I don't know why they do that. ::)

Actually, that's also the way it is in the States. The season debuts in September, by late October its reruns, then usually all new episodes for November sweeps, then December-January has mostly reruns except for a Christmas special or two, then new episodes for February sweeps, then a bunch of reruns with few new episodes from March till April, then all new episodes for May sweeps. "Sweeps" are the times advertisers look at the ratings to determine how much they'll be paying in the future, and if the show is worth their investment.

Basically, they have to fit 24 episodes into the 9-month TV season. The difference is, ABC 5 has to fit in into 12 months (or even longer sometimes).

If you guys are tired of waiting for ABC 5 to air the episodes, the first 12 episodes are already available for sale on VCD at Astrovision. It includes the infamous Brad Pitt episode already.

Just a quick reminder: the 8th Season Hour-Long Finale is this Thursday on NBC...

NOT QUITE A SPOILER, JUST MY GUESS... (highlight):

With the way the last few episodes have been building up, does anyone else think that Ross and Rachel will tie the knot right before she gives birth?

Oh yeah .. and the Joey-Rachel-Ross love triangle continues now with more tension between ... well... uh .. friends. But for now, I have to wait four f&%$#@* months to see the continuation.

off topic :
On the other hand, the last mole got revealed in last week's cliffhanger. Totally unexpected but makes a lot of sense. I can't wait for the 11:00 PM -12:00AM hour season finale. And good news, it is coming back next season in the same format and still with Kiefer Sutherland who has been giving a very good performance. Denni's Hopper's last four outings have been very disappointing ... and that horrible accent, ugh !

That was in Entertainment Weekly.

But then again, the situation Joey got himself into was really sweet and touching. Being friends with both of them ... and in love with the other .. it could happen to anyone. And the way it's being handled in the show is really good.

ok, so how funny was last night's thanksgiving episode? i was laughing from start to finish. brad pitt guest stars as an old high school friend of the gellars. you can only be two things when you hang out with the gellars, especially ross. well, you're most likely a big fat loser. hwe hwe hwe. i had a feeling he's going to reprise his 12 monkeys character and he did, only under antipsychotic medication ;). phoebe is, as usual, funny in that ... what do you call that do?

Just finished watching the Season 8 Finale.

Now that was one returning guest star I did not expect! I always knew that guest would be back one day, but I never suspected it for THAT particular episode.

Not really an interesting cliffhanger... it looks like the type that'll be resolved in the first 30 seconds of next season. But the rest of the hour-long episode was fun.

Kakaasar ang summer reruns... I'm now shifting my attention to two series I've ignored, SCRUBS and MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE. That should keep me occupied till September. :)

I didn't see the ABC5 broadcast, but they ALWAYS delete scenes from every episode, usually about 1:30-3 minutes worth, so I don't know why they wouldn't have.

In case you taped it and can check the counter, the original episode has a running time of 21 minutes and 49 seconds, without commercials.

Also, there's an article picking the 50 Best Friends Moments. #1 Marital Blast from "The One in Vegas Part II".

I have my subscription and they sent me the one with Lisa Kudrow. Needless to say I am disappointed. I like Matt LeBlanc's (he'll be back in Charlie's Angels 2 .. ) But more disappointed with the top 50 best moments. A lot of them are really good ... but around 1/3 are not really great moments. And that number 1 pick ? Please !!!! Any scene from the episode aired after the Superbowl would have been better.  Scenes with Brooke Shields, Chris Isaak and Rachel-Monica fighting over Van Damme stood out. They're not on the list. Also missing was Reese Witherspoon's guest stint.

I bet the one with Jennifer Aniston and Matt Le Blanc would sell more...

What would those 50 moments be, by the way? Is it posted somewhere in the TV Guide Online site? Because I don't have a TV Guide and I don't know where to get one here...Emerald Headway? :-\...I'm very curious. ;D

Never mind...found it! Okay, from TV Guide Online,  THE 50 BEST FRIENDS MOMENT. SPOILER ALERT!!!

From the very first episode (in which runaway bride Rachel joined up with these telegenic jokers) to the very latest cliff-hanger (with new mom Rachel accepting an inadvertent proposal from Joey while Ross prepared to pop the question), we've followed these Friends through every twist. We can't play favorites, we love them all: adorable Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), lovelorn Ross (David Schwimmer), sweetly swaggering Joey (Matt LeBlanc), dizzy Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), uptight Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette) and sardonic, quick-with-a-quip Chandler (Matthew Perry). Over eight eventful seasons and countless cups of Central Perk coffee, we've laughed, cried, sighed and laughed some more, compiling a scrapbook of memorable milestones: most of them funny but more than a few that touch the heart. In 10 of the 50 moments that appear in this week's issue of TV Guide magazine, we relive their best of times, and even their worst of times. With Friends like these, you're guaranteed a great time.

#50 BUBBLE TROUBLE
From the one where Chandler takes a bath, January 17, 2002
The missus loves to luxuriate in a long, hot soak, but Mr. Bing is a no-nonsense shower man. "What do you do?" Chandler asks Monica. "Sit in there stewing in your own filth?" Determined to change his mind, Monica draws him a bath with candles, soft music, bath salts and bubbles. Naturally, Chandler's hooked on the relaxing ritual. Also naturally: All the other Friends find a reason to gather in the bathroom while he's in the tub. No one seems to notice his embarrassment until Joey looks down and exclaims, "Dude, you gotta rearrange your bubbles!"

#38 MEOW MIX
From the one with the baby on the bus, November 2, 1995
Bumped from her Central Perk gig by a pro (Chrissie Hynde), Phoebe ends this one on a high note with the debut of her ode to an odorous feline ("Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeding you? Smelly cat, smelly cat, it's not your fault"). When she tries to have Hynde sing along, though, the Pretender is lost. "From the top?" she asks a frustrated Phoebe, who lets her confused counterpart in on a little secret. "See, there is no 'top.'... That's the beauty of 'Smelly Cat.'" And we thought it was the lyrics.

#31 WHOA, BABIES
From The One Hundredth, October 8, 1998
Surrogate mom Phoebe, delivering her brother Frank's (Giovanni Ribisi) triplets, isn't remotely prepared for labor pains. And she isn't thrilled with her Fonzie-obsessed obstetrician, either. But the real problem is her change of heart. "I want to keep one," she confides to Rachel. But when the babies arrive, she does the right thing, tearfully bidding them goodbye. A terrific showcase for Phoebe's daffy sweetness.

#29 THE SEAGULL
From the one with all the Thanksgivings, November 19, 1998
It's what networks like to refer to as a "very special episode" as the Friends recall their worst Thanksgivings. Amid the flashbacks, we see Ross and his college roommate Chandler come home to the Gellers' (Elliott Gould and Christina Pickles). The first time we spot Chandler, he is a New Wave popinjay with what he once dubbed his "Flock of Seagulls haircut." When they next arrive, Chandler and Ross are proudly shooting up their jacket sleeves, all decked out in Miami Vice regalia. Comedy like this never goes out of fashion.

#27 LOVE LOST
From the one where Rachel finds out, May 18, 1995
A last-minute business trip to China makes Ross a no-show at Rachel's birthday party, but he does leave her a pricey gift. Chandler accidentally reveals the truth behind it: "Remember when he fell in love with [ex-wife] Carol and bought her that ridiculously expensive crystal duck?" And so Rachel finally realizes Ross is in love with her. But their romance takes yet another detour when she heads to the airport to find a blissful Ross arriving home with an unexpected souvenir... his new girlfriend, Julie (Lauren Tom).

#21 DANCING FOOLS
From the one with the routine, December 16, 1999
Joey's roommate Janine (Elle MacPherson) invites Joey, Ross and Monica to join the dancers at the TV taping of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. For Ross and Monica, the event brings out their awkward inner adolescence. After all, back in middle school, the Geller sibs choreographed their own dance routine; unfortunately, their inherent dorkiness eludes them. ("We got honorable mention in the brother-sister dance category!" enthuses Ross.) Who knew gawky could be so great?

#19 MILKING IT
From the one with Phoebe's husband, October 12, 1995
When Phoebe's "husband" Duncan (Steve Zahn) shows up, secrets are revealed. Besides Phoebe's feelings for her supposedly gay Canadian ice dancer, there's Joey's porn-movie past and Chandler's infamous third nipple. "You told me it was a nubbin," Joey says, leading off a tidal wave of jokes, including one from Ross. Handing Chandler an empty creamer, he inquires, "Hey, Chandler, would you fill me up here?"

#16 ROSS OR JOEY?
From the one where Rachel has a baby, Part II, May 16, 2002
Rachel has just given birth to Emma, her daughter with Ross. Afraid she'll have to raise the baby alone, she hints to Ross that they should get back together. Even though he has his grandmother's engagement ring, he resists, afraid that their relationship will fail yet again. But while he's visiting the nursery, Phoebe convinces him to go for it and "get everything you've wanted since you were 15." Meanwhile, a still-smitten Joey consoles Rachel, promising he'll always be there for her and Emma. Then, in a wild turn of events that rocked 35 million viewers, he's on his knees holding the diamond ring that has fallen out of Ross's coat pocket. Stunned, he turns toward Rachel, still holding the ring. Misunderstanding, the vulnerable Rachel says "OK" to a shocked Joey. A fitting end to this superb, and what looks to be second-to-last, season of Friends.

#13 HANGING OUT
From the one where Monica and Richard are just friends, January 30, 1997
Phoebe takes up with a real jock. The problem is, he doesn't wear one, or anything else, under his shorts. "The man is showing brain," Chandler tells Ross. "Every time I see him," Phoebe worries, "is it on the loose? Is it watching me?" The Friends push her to tell him, but cappuccino counterman Gunther (James Michael Tyler) beats her to it. "Hey, buddy, this is a family place," he tells the accidental flasher. "Put the mouse back in the house."

#2 GEEK HISTORY
From the one with the prom video, February 1, 1996
The Gellers drop off a box of Monica's stuff that contains an atrocious artifact: a video of Monica and Rachel getting ready for the prom. Cringe at the sight of Rachel's hideous pre-rhinoplasty nose. Shriek at Ross's fuzzhead, then sigh at how eager he is to fill in as Rachel's date. Tremble at the girth of the omnivorous teen Monica. This pretty-in-pink event contains one of the series's all-time great lines: When Monica points out that the camera adds 10 pounds, Chandler asks, "So how many cameras are actually on you?"

Okay, so that's 10 Best Moments lang. We have to buy THE magazine to read the remaining 40.  Shucks!!! :-\  So, Friends Fans, are your 10 best friends moment in any of these? Except for #27, I think this list is just about right for me. :)

We'll see if the cast can be tempted with $1.5 Million per episode ...  ;D ;D ;D I don't think NBC is ready to give them up yet since they don't have any other big show to replace it.  But I'm sure NBC is willing to give them almost anything to keep them for another season until Scrubs take off. Will and Grace I think is going down sooner than I expected. Stupid baby idea !

They finally won their much-deserved first Emmy!!! Alright!

My heart is crying though for Joey (Matt leBlanc) .  :'( :'( :'( I'd rather see him win than Jennifer Anniston for obvious reasons of course.

As for Will and Grace, the season cliffhanger was Grace wanting to have a baby ... from Will. What a stupid idea ! No wonder the show is not funny anymore. First of all, Grace is not ugly and I find it hard to believe that a successful, beautiful woman living in New York will have a hard time finding a good looking guy to be her mate. Look at Sex and the City, they actually do have sex in there.  Second, Will is not ugly and I find it hard to believe that a successfull, handsome lawyer living in New York will have a hard time finding a good looking guy to be his mate. Look at Six Feet Under, even though it's not set in New York, they actually do have sex in there. Third, enough of the fag jokes, make the characters have some sense of reality in them. Jack and Karen can be as cartoonish and looney as they want ... that's cool and funny. But let Will and Grace be as real as possible. It is getting tired I think and frankly, they don't deserve the time slot given to them.  >:( >:( >:(

Got this from zap2it.com:

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "Scooby-Doo" star Freddie Prinze Jr. will be guest starring on a milestone episode of "Friends."

On the series' 200th show, entitled "The One with the Male Nanny," Prinze plays an incredibly sensitive male nanny hired to care for baby Emma. His qualifications and good looks impress Rachel (Jennifer Anniston) and threaten an insecure Ross (David Schwimmer).

The show will also feature Emmy Award winner Hank Azaria ("Tuesdays with Morrie" ), who reprises his earlier series role as Phoebe's (Lisa Kudrow) exiled soul mate. He and Paul Rudd ("The Cider House Rules" ) will compete as romantic rivals for her affection.

The episode will air during November sweeps.

Not too good. It really wasn't much of a cliffhanger, anyway - you could see how it would be resolved, right? I actually preferred the NEW cliffhanger at the end of the show. Even though it was a mistake... she actually ACCEPTED Joey's proposal.

I was watching E! over the weekend, and they showed this FRIENDS Trivia Game (I guess it's a board/card game) that was released only 2 weeks ago in the States. No idea how much it cost and if it's available online. I googled and didn't find anything :P...I know somebody here will be able to help me. :) It's in this white box with the logo of FRIENDS and some photos of the cast, the size of the game box/board is about 2 FRIENDS DVD Boxsets..... ;D

Hey I want one of those trivia games!

To all the fans out there, maybe you can answer this question that has been bugging me since I started watching the show:

What is Chandler Bing's Job?

Also, recently, I've been watching all episodes from Seasons 1-8 and Season 6 quickly became my favorite. The One With The Routine, The One With Ross' Teeth and The One That Could Have Been, The One With The Proposal are all classics in my book.

However, none of them could compare to my all time favorite episode, The One With Two Parties from Season 2.

Any favorite episodes anyone?

By the way, some friends were able to download episodes 901-903 already and they said that they were good. Hopefully I can watch them later and see if their supposedly last season is off to a good start.

Hehheheh...Paging, Hankey! :) They (the characters) couldn't really figure it out too, right? I know he's a supervisor and if something in the WENUS goes wrong, he is responsible for that. ;D

My fave episode is found in the earlier seasons ----> thanksgiving episode, all 6 were playing football. But my favorite season is the recent one we saw, season 8.

Yeah, season 8 made me realize that of all the characters in the show, Joey's the one I'd enjoy being friends with. I'm hoping that the writers have somebody good in store for Joey.

Chandler does data reconfiguration and statistical factoring for other companies. ;D

I'll have to do more research but off the top of my head I think this is my favorite episode (The One With The Embryos).

I just finished watching the first threee wpisodes of season 9!  Definitely worth the wait. :P

However, something about 903 doesn't sit well with me. Not to spoil it for the others, but let's just say that I don't think the gang will ever be the same. I really hope that I'm just being paranoid.

The One with the Embryos, kung pre-Mondler. Mondler Era, The One where Everybody Finds Out.

Yep, you're just being paranoid.  ;D ;D ;D

But I don't think a lot will change at all. I'm more worried about how baby Emma will fit in to the plots and scenes.  Ross' first kid was well planned .. and stayed with the mother all the time .. aside from occasional appearances. And the way Joey-Rachel-Ross thing was played out didn't sit well with me. I want more ! Rachel should give Joey a chance by going on a date or two with him ..  creating an awkward situation for the three of them.

As for favorites, I like all the Thanksgiving episodes. The first three seasons were really good. Then the sixth and eight season I think were the most creative ones.

Same here, ever since season 8, I had a sneaking suspicion that Emma will only serve as the catalyst that triggers a lot of major changes for the group. Or that's just me and my friends doomsday conspiracy theories again.

all Thanksgiving episodes are my favorites and janice guest appearances are fantastic

I still wish that rachel still ends up with Ross. just like Matt Leblac says on Entertainment Magazine "they belong to each other"

For me Ross is the funniest guy in the show.and Joey also but chandler slows a bit since involving with monica. first few season no doubt chandler's character is the funniest

The first three seasons, I have to agree that Ross was funny ... but still not the funniest.  Even during those times, Chandler and Phoebe rules ... Joey would come up with some funny lines and scenes once in a while.  But then again, the first three seasons should have been called Ross and Rachel and their Friends.  Right now, Ross no longer shows his sweet side (remember that episode when he didn't show up in a TV taping for Discovery Channel just to take Rachel to the hospital ? ).  Joey remains the sweetest dolt of the bunch ... and hasn't lost it yet.

I hope they would give Joey someone to work with that would make Rachel realize she should give Joey a try ... and make Ross go ballistic. That would be cool !

Looks like this is REALLY the final season of FRIENDS.

In an interview with David Letterman in his show, David Schwimmer sort of insinuated he's not interested to sign another deal.  In an interview with Jay Leno in his show, Matt leBlanc sort of verified that there is one Friend who might be thinking of not doing it anymore and he or she can verify it when he or she stops by at the show.

If you ask me and if I was David Schwimmer, I'd leave too.  Actors who are serious about their craft (like David, who started in theater) enjoy doing things that would challenge them. If the writers didn't make his character become such a loser,  I'm pretty sure he'd stick it out some more.  His character is the only one that grew backwards. I like him more in the first three seasons.

He doesn't need money, he's got lots of them now.  I mean, $24M  and more for this last season, I'd move on too and pursue other artistic endeavors.

Thanks, I read your PM Phobos.... :(  :(  :( Sad ako.....Maybe they had to reduce the screen time rin because of the star's personal problems. Favorite ko pa naman siya sa lahat! :(

And kakabanas' post makes me a little sadder pa.  Guess us fanatics would just have to prepare ourselves and watch reruns and VCD/DVD copies after season 9.

David Schimmer was very vocal about leaving since Season 7 pa ata.

So which of the 6 do you think would make it big after Friends? Mukhang si Courtney Cox ang mapag-iiwanan sa lahat.

And kakabanas' post makes me a little sadder pa.

Not to worry, CrUzSACK. In the past, all of them have firmly said they would NEVER do a spin-off based on one of their characters. The mere fact that Matt LeBlanc now says otherwise makes me think they've already talked to him about spinning off the Joey character, and he's amenable:

LeBlanc told "Extra" the other night that he'd be up for a spinoff focusing on his character, Joey. "If it was done correctly and the idea was right, and I trusted the writers and the people running the show, the show runners, absolutely I would consider it," LeBlanc said.

Let's not forget that FRASIER has lasted almost as long as CHEERS, the show it spun off from, and has actually won more awards than any show in Emmy history.

I'm surprised by the choices of favorite episode so far for you guys, though. I've always maintained that the show hasn't been as funny in its later years, so my favorites date back: "The One With The Blackout", "The One With The Flashbacks".
Title: Re:F·R·I·E·N·D·S, Part 2
Post by: kakabanas on Oct 18, 2002 at 08:50 PM
I also like the episodes where they all stayed in one room the whole time, or most of the time. Like when Mr. Heckles died ... or when they were playing poker ... or when Joey was going commando in another man's fatigue and Rachel went commando as well ... or when Chandler accidentally saw Rachel's boobies .. and she saw Joey's  while taking a shower ... and he saw Monica's ... and she saw Joey's dad .... or that episode where Phoebe was married to a gay icecapade guy (Steve Zahn). All flashbacks episode are pretty good too. But usually, the Thanksgiving episodes are the best and memorable ones.

As for the last season, I am pretty sure NBC is more than willing to shell out more money to keep everyone in the show. For one thing, they don't really have any other comedy to replace it.  Will and Grace though pulling in decent numbers is actually a disaster in the coveted Seinfeld time slot.

But more importantly, let us not forget, Friends commands the highest dollars for a 20-sec. commercial ... meaning it is the number 1 money earner in network TV.  Not only that, it is the number 1 show in syndication as well ... more money for WB ... more money for the cast since they get certain points for syndication here and abroad.  Giving them $1.3M each per episode for another year would make all happy. NBC wouldn't mind paying $10M per episode to WB. They simply can't afford to lose this show and lose their Thursday night must-see-TV.  Without Friends, Scrubs, Will and Grace and the eroding ER will crumble.

It is still the number 1 tv sitcom though. And although CSI leads in total number of viewers, Friends have more viewers in the 18-49 age demographic, which the advertisers and tv execs use to set the rate per 20 sec. commercial. That's good enough for NBC ... and Friends as well since their timeslot still commands the highest ad rate.

There are talks that NBC and Warner Bros. are willing to pay each Friend $1.3M per episode. It is all possible because of their advertising pull.

Hopefully the game will find itself here. I've been scouting around for board game specialty shops and the new Greenbelt mall has such a shop called Hobbes. It doesn't have the game yet, but there's a big chance it will since it has all sorts of board games like a Survivor Board game, Alfred Hitchcock's Clue, various strategy games that are actually rip offs of our Game Of The Generals and Many others. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Good news for Friends fans. From NY Times:

NBC was close to a deal last night that would bring television's biggest hit comedy, "Friends," back to the network for another season, its 10th, executives close to the negotiations said last night.

The talks continued past 9 p.m. in Los Angeles last night, with both sides saying they expected to finish a deal that would reverse a year of expectations that the current season would be the last one for "Friends."

The network is expected to agree to pay the highest price in television history for a 30-minute show, as much as $9 million an episode, to bring the show and all six of its stars back, eclipsing the almost $7 million NBC is paying this season. NBC pays about $10 million a year for the one-hour drama "ER" and has paid as much as $13 million for the show, but the price of "Friends" per half-hour is higher...

JUST FRIENDS?
Rachel Green and Ross Gellar, ''Friends''

PLAYED BY Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer

RELATIONSHIP STATUS Though they're in love with their new baby Emma, they're not exactly gaga over each other right now. After catching roomie Rachel kissing an officemate (Dermot Mulroney), the jealous Ross admitted that he'd been hiding her phone messages; Rachel, furious, moved back in with Joey.

WHY WE LOVE THEM They've been devoted to each other through so many bad times (misunderstandings, divorces, that unfortunate ''we were on a break!'' incident) -- so it's easy to wish them happiness together. After all, as Pheebs would say, he IS her lobster.

WHY WE DON'T Ross hasn't been the most likable character lately. (What's with his increasingly dorky, control-freak behavior?) And compared with last year's surprising Joey-loves-Rachel story line, the constant wavering of the Gellar-Green duo -- sure to continue deep into next season -- feels a bit tired.

I'm still much into watching Friends but I'm just sick and tired of the Rachel and Ross "relationship". I no longer find it amusing when they get into arguments (unlike before) and making Ross into a more dorky character just makes it worst. But despite all of that I can't wait to watch my weekly dose of Friends ;D

Well, one more year. And when they're gone, Matt leBlanc will have his own spin-off sitcom.  I have no idea how they are going to do it, but  they are thinking of tranferring him somewhere else for the new sitcom. Which means there's no way for him to get it on with Rachel or Phoebe.

I don't know if I will still watch even though he's the most goodlooking of the bunch.

I guess he still needs to find the right project for his limited talent.

By the way,  before he made it big, he was doing some music video (Madonna's Express Yourself) and guest stared in a kind of soft porn on Showtime (Red Shoe Diary) with David Duchovny, pre X-Files.  He had an elevator scene ... so he wasn't naked ....just thrusting and faking it

It's a very short shot ... he was in a bunk bed looking at the model guy which Madonna wanted. I think it was sort of raining also in that scene.

i just love phoebe and joey! theyre the funniest!

my fave phoebe moments:

--1st episode when rachel got to the coffe house in her wedding dress and crying then suddenly phoebe sings: "Rain drops and roses and warm woolen mittens something with something) --i laughed out so loud!

--When Joey was trying to re-tile MOnicas bathroom floor but chandler wants joey to do something else, phoebe suddenly said something like: "Tile the floor cinderellie, do this cinderellie" ---hahahahahaha!!

--When they were at the beach house and she met up with her mom's friend, phoebe(too) and when the friend told phoebe(lisa) "im your real mom" , and she(lisa) was like. "Eh?"--- It was so funny you guys have to see it yourselves!! ;D

I thought that was in the apartment when Monica was consoling Rach. Pheebs suddenly sang to cheer up Rachel too. And Rach said, "That's okay" or something to that effect. :)

I agree. I love the Phoebe moments too. Especially when she was "doing" Chandler in the coffeeshop showing Ross and Joey (both sitting on the couch) and Chandler (on the arm of said couch) how Chan's officemates are "doing" him:

"Mr. Big. Boss Man. Boss Man Bing!"
"Could that report be any later?"

If you have been watching the new season, you probably have seen Paul Rudd a couple of times already. He has appeared in 9 episodes so far and will be appearing again in the last two episodes this season.  And the best part, he just signed on to another 5 episodes for the 10th season with an option to do 5 more !

I am so happy.

Are those orig copies?

Yup.

On a related note, I finally decided to play catch up and I watched episodes 13-18 last night.

SPOILERish:

The show's been better... but it's not as bad as I've seen it being dissed on other boards. But I think the whole reason Paul Rudd and Phoebe split up is too much of a rehash of the reason Tom Selleck and Monica split up. And the "one more time" thing... been there, done that.

But I read somewhere that Paul Rudd signed on for another 10 episodes in Season 10, so despite what's happening, it looks like we haven't seen the last of him...

Just an observation.

The orig VCDs being sold locally look worse than the pirated stuff you can download off the net.

I think the licensed VCDs are just transfers from VHS tapes.

Oh yeah.. I DO NOT ADVOCATE PIRACY. IT IS BAD AND MUST BE STOPPED!

Played catch up too and saw the recent episodes. Joey has really been the funniest one this season and Chandler's losing his touch. :( I think I don't like Ross and Rachel as Mom and Dad. This season is still funny and I still love it.... but I don't know, I really hope they wrap it up after Season 10.

Yep, he also just finished taping 2 more episodes for season 9. I think they will air during the May sweeps as the last two episodes for this season ... and one is supposed to be a cliffhanger. Can't wait ...

His contract for season 10 is only for 5 episodes ... but he has the option to do 5 more if he wants to.

The last season of Friends is going to be a short one ... I think less than 20 episodes. It was part of their deal. I think it was Courtney and Jennifer's request ... maybe they want to have babies. The executives at NBC and producers of Friends also want to start the Joey spin off as early as possible and maybe air them while Friends is still on the air ... but Matt leBlanc didn't approve.

Rachel  dreamt she and Joey kissed ! Is this the continuation of the love triangle ? And it looks like Rachel is having feelings now for him.  But next week, there's a new black girl the show is bringing over for another Joey-Ross conflict ? And then there's Paul Rudd going after Phoebe again ....  Hmmm, I am excited about the cliffhanger at the end of the season.

Anybody caught FRASIER's episode last night on StarWorld? They had a story similar to FRIENDS!

In Frasier, Daphne was dating this Niles-clone named Rodney whom Niles didn't like. Niles at that time was dating Adelle but was secretly in love with Daphne.

In Friends, Rachel was dating this Ross-clone named Russ, whom Ross didn't like. Ross at that time was dating Julie but had special feelings for Rachel.  By the way, this Russ is still David Schwimmer, right? Hubby and I were debating over this, and I would like to prove him right. ;D

In the end of each story, Niles-clone Rodney got together with Adelle. Ross-clone Russ got together with Julie.

The only difference is Niles and Daphne remained platonic towards each other (in this episode that is). Meanwhile,  over at  Friends....it was the beginning of a neverending saga known as.... Ross (heart) Rachel....can't draw the (heart) thing with the keyboard. :-\

Get R2 DVDs, they're way ahead of the R1 and the local R3 DVD releases.  R1 has released Seasons 1 to 3 and Season 4 is following in a couple of months.  R2 I think have released the DVDs up to Season 8? These TV show DVDs aren't released right away because they are binded by a syndication contract.  Sometimes it takes years before they're "allowed" to have it on DVD.

Rachel  is after Joey now .... but Joey is in another love triangle with Ross and Ross' co-worker. Interesting set-up for a cliffhanger. I can't be too excited that Joey and Rachel will get together ... because Joey will have a spin-off and Rachel can't be there all the time. I do hope they hook up though and head to a painful break up ... when Joey gets his break and need to move to LA with Rachel staying in NY coz she can't go with him with her daughter since Ross, the father is staying in NYC.  Ugh .. my poor Joey !

'Friends' Star Matt LeBlanc Weds in Hawaii

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Matt LeBlanc, who stars on the hit TV comedy series "Friends," married his longtime fiancee Melissa McKnight on Saturday, in a star-studded cliffside wedding on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, according to syndicated television show Extra.

LeBlanc, 35, and McKnight, a former model who is believed to be in her late 30s, became engaged in 1998, Extra said. She has two children from a previous relationship.

The ceremony took place overlooking exclusive Anini Beach along a 12-acre cliffside property. LeBlanc dressed in a dark suit bedecked with a white lei and his bride wore a long white gown.

Fellow "Friends" stars including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer attended the ceremony as did Aniston's husband, Brad Pitt, and Cox's husband, David Arquette. Other details about celebrity guests were not immediately available.

A tented reception was held in the same location, Extra said. Many of the guests wore Hawaiian shirts and leis. They dined on a four-tiered passion fruit cake that was large enough to feed 150 people and offered a champagne toast to the couple at midnight.

Title: Joey Tribbiani
Post by: CrUzSACK on Jul 24, 2003 at 03:01 PM
It's Joey for the spin-off!

NBC has sitcom plans for 'Friends' pal Joey
By Gary Levin, USA TODAY
LOS ANGELES — Joey Tribbiani is headed for California — and life without Friends.
NBC today plans to announce a deal with Matt LeBlanc to star in Joey, a Friends spinoff featuring one of the more beloved characters from TV's top-rated comedy.

The series, which won't include any other Friends cast members, will premiere in September 2004, almost certainly in the newly vacated Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT time slot, after Friends ends its 10th and final season in May.

No script has been written, but the show is believed to be based on a scenario in which Joey moves to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career, probably to be joined by a love interest and an ensemble cast.

Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane aren't involved in the project — they said last year that they had no interest in a spinoff — but partner and Friends veteran Kevin S. Bright will executive-produce the series along with Scott Silveri and Shana Goldberg-Meehan. They've written recent story lines about soap actor Joey, who has become a more prominent character in the past two seasons.

LeBlanc will take a significant pay cut from the roughly $1 million per episode that he'll make for the final season of Friends. And unlike with other star-driven series, he won't be a producer. But he'll have input into casting and earn a greater share of the show's profits if it's successful.

Yeah. Twas a lousy premiere. :( How many episodes this season? 12? 13? Of the 6, it seems that they can get more story angles in Phoebe's life, this season.  The rest of them --- parang going in circles na lang.

I'll miss this show but I'll be glad when it's over. :( :)

18. 16 to go, but I haven't gotten this week's episode yet. Last week's cliffhanger really didn't matter to me, because they've done it before... several times already, right?

Quote

Yeah, it looks like Mike might be in for the long haul, since there's no one else left for Phoebe now that Joey has his solo spin off. But the rumor I've heard is it's actually two characters going to the spin off, they just announced "Joey" to keep it a surprise. But if it's "Joey & Rachel," won't that be a bit like "Mad About You" without the whining? ;)

I saw this episode a few days back on Star World. Studio 23 will probably show it next month, maybe.  Fans of Friends shouldn't miss it. Each of them said something about each of them (did that make sense? ;D).  Umpisa pa lang Jen was already emotional, she also choked when asked to say something about her Friends.

They're also all rooting for the Joey show, their very supportive of Matt Le Blanc, it's so sweet.  When Oprah asked what they're going to do next after Friends, I think it was Matthew Perry who said something like, "Well, I hope they need a sarcastic best friend on the Joey show". ;D

They said that they will all be watching the finale together.  Awww.... :(

Friends the final episode ...

The One Where Phoebe Almost Got Hitched.

Phoebe waiting waiting patiently at the church. Rachel was driving Mike to the wedding after a brief sex encounter ... when the car crashed. Both died instantly. Susan left her lesbian lover and get back together with Ross. Because of their unusual last name, no adoption agency will give baby to Monica and Chandler ... so Ross decided to give Emma to them after Rachel's death. And Joey had a groupsome with all the bridesmaid before leaving of LA to do the spinoff.

What's disturbing about that parody is it's strikingly similar to the REAL ending of a 5-season UK program which was often, though very wrongly, compared to Friends. The series also dealt with three guys and three girls. I was in complete shock when I saw the lead female character die in a car crash.

Not to worry, CrUzSACK... I'm not talking about Coupling.  ;D

Hehehe! I still cannot accept that Jeff is gone in Coupling. :( But if the rest of the show's characters died in a car crash, okay lang. ;D Shock TV....Kidding! ;D I love Coupling, but I love it even more with Jeff in the cast. *Sigh*

Anyway, back to Friends ---- saw it on Entertainment Tonight the other day, their last day of taping, and the dinner party. Sad, sad, sad. But it's just the right time to end it. Will miss this show, but I can watch the DVD over and over (10,000times) and still enjoy every episode.

Major spoiler ... read at your own risk

As you all know from TV previews, Phoebe and Mike will get married during the February sweeps. But here's what you don't know yet from the remaining episodes left until May :

1. Rachel will get fired from Ralph Lauren ... but she will offered a job in Paris. Somehow, the Ross-Rachel thing will turn around once more ... and Ross will have to make the decision whether to follow Rachel and Emma ... and leave Carol-Susan-Ben.

2. Yes, Chandler and Monica are moving to the suburbs. What will Chandler do when faced with the notion that Janice could be their next door neighbor ? Speaking of her, was there a season that she didn't show up ?

3. And of course, Joey will move to LA ... but the people behind Friends said they will not include that in their story line. The producers of the spin-off said they will start the series three months after Friends go their own way ... so in those 3 months, Joey will make the decision to move to LA.

...and the show comes to an end...

no surprises, actually, but watching the finale was a bit sad, knowing that there would be no more further exploits from the group (with the exception of joey, who we will still see next season)...  this coming from a casual fan, who never caught ALL the episodes yet still enjoy watching the show once in a while whenever i get the chance...

some highlights:

-  monica and chandler get twins -- a boy and a girl -- from erica (sp?), who didn't know she was having twins...
-  gunther tells rachel that he loves her...  rachel blows him off, but was really nice about it...
-  we say goodbye to the foosball table (!), as monica has to smash it apart to get the baby chick and duck which were supposed to be joey's housewarming presents for monica and chandler...
-  rachel doesn't go to paris, and ends back with ross...
-  the group leaves their keys to monica's apartment, as we get one last look at the place...

overall, a simple end to this nice little show which i'm sure would please the fans...

Oo, Spiff. Star World aired it around Feb or March I think. Studio 23 aired it twice after, the recent one being last week lang ata. Jen couldn't stop being emotional. Nakakalungkot. :'(

oh... i saw that.

akala ko they had another friends special ulit...  ;)

i think they ended it pretty well ( and not as "dramatic" as some of the speculations that have circled the 'net.)

this show will definitely still have a long life on in syndication and home video tho...  ;)

I just saw the cast on The Tonight Show. One of the best "tribute" shows I've seen for a departing show, with nice bloopers, tons of celebrities (The Donald, Stallone, Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Tarantino, Queer Eye's Cast, also the biggest FOX TV star), fun interviews, and no tears.

The finality of the whole thing just hit me now.

Goodbye, FRIENDS. Hope to see some of you once in a while on Joey.

Goodbye, FRIENDS.

I know what you mean. I went to bed last night a little sad .. and woke up around 5:00 AM and couldn't think of anything but how I really enjoyed Friends and how I am going to miss them. It felt like I really lost 6 friends ...

For 10 years, I have been watching it, taping it without the commercials .. and watching them all over again ..

I saw a picture of Joey's spinoff show. He will star opposite Soprano cast member Drea de Matteo (Adriana on Sopranos). Can anyone confirm?

*checks IMDB.com* ;D  ------   Plot Outline: The comedy centers on the relationship between Joey (Matt LeBlanc), who moves to Los Angeles, and his sister Gina (De Matteo), a hairdresser who lives with her son.

USA TODAY Article:

As viewers rejoin Joey this fall, his plane touches down in Los Angeles, where he seeks a fresh start to his acting career and quickly becomes a proverbial fish out of water. "The pilot episode deals with how certain people, including Joey, are very resistant to change," LeBlanc says. Though Chandler is mentioned, the sitcom focuses on Joey's new, smaller circle:

• Gina, played by The Sopranos' Drea de Matteo, is Joey's tough older sister, a teasing but loving nemesis with "absolutely no boundaries," says executive producer Shana Goldberg-Meehan. "She ruined the Easter bunny and Santa Claus for him, and when he got older, for revenge he had sex with all her friends."

• Michael (Paulo Costanzo), Gina's 20-year-old son from a brief marriage, is "the black sheep of the Tribbiani family because of his IQ," executive producer Scott Silveri says. "He's literally a rocket scientist."

• Allison (Ashley Scott), Joey's sexy neighbor and potential love interest, is the effervescent Californian counterpart to the coarser New York Tribbianis.

"He has to change gears more quickly," says Bright. "One scene needs to be rooted in emotion, and (in) the next he has to be big, silly fun."

Producers say they have no illusions about success: "We've learned from experience ... that you can't take somebody off a hit show and expect an instant hit," Bright says. They hope Joey is more Frasier than AfterM*A*S*H, only "not as cerebral," LeBlanc says. "They took a psychologist; we're taking an idiot."

I had a "frienessance" last night, watched a lot of episodes on DVD. *sigh* You are the best, Friends!  ;) :'(

Yep, Drea de Matteo getting the part was in the news a few weeks ago.  But she has a 20 year old son in the show?  What did she do? Get married at age 9?

Here's a quote from Thursday's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, referring to the Friends farewell hype:

Jon Stewart: "Can I tell you something honestly? I never watched that show — and I'm sick of it."  ;D

The ratings are in. The FRIENDS finale was the 4th highest rated series finale of all time:

1. M*A*S*H - 106 Million viewers

2. Cheers - 80.4 Million

3. Seinfeld - 76.3 Million

4. F*R*I*E*N*D*S - 52 Million

I guess the key to having a top-rated finale is to have a one-word title, with or without asterisks between letters.  8)

=====

I just finished watching the final show. The writing is definitely not at par with the earlier seasons. I honestly didn't get a single good chuckle out of the entire episode. I suppose it was a telling sign that in the hour-long "best of" clips show that preceded the finale, only maybe 2 scenes from the 10th season even made it in.

But seeing Monica and Rachel's apartment completely empty at the end of the episode did strike a cord with me.

Just another reminder that I will be missing this set of Friends after all.

I read a press release about that. It's true, but the 10th season boxed set will include the extended version of the finale.

Basically like all the R1 boxed sets so far - the broadcast versions are not on them, just the extended cuts.

Been pondering about this since yesterday. ::)  ;D I know, I know --- I have to step out of my Friends world!  ;D

Anyway, when the cast were guests recently at Jay Leno's show, Jay asked them which character has kissed everybody and they couldn't answer right away, but eventually said it was Joey. I did the "kissing equation" and as far as I know, Joey has never kissed Monica. But Rachel, and maybe even Chandler, kissed everybody!

Am I right?

Joey kissed...
...Rachel, because they dated in Season 9
...Phoebe, because she pretended to be Ursula
...Ross, because Joey had to practice for an audition
...Monica ?  ???
...Chandler ? - I'm sure meron, forgot lang the scene. I think it was in "The One With All The Kiss"

Rachel kissed...
...Ross, because they were lovers
...Chandler, in the episode "The One With Flashback"
...Joey, because they dated
...Monica, as implied only, when they took their apartment from Chandler/Joey
...Phoebe, when Winona Ryder was the guest

Ross kissed...
...Rachel, because they were lovers
...Joey, because Joey had to practice for an audition
...Monica, as implied only, he was Monica's first kiss (Season 9)
...Phoebe, in the episode "The One With Flashback"
...Chandler ?  ???

Monica kissed...
...Chandler, because they're husband & wife
...Rachel, as implied only, when they took their apartment from Chandler/Joey
...Ross, as implied only, he was Monica's first kiss (Season 10)
...Phoebe ?  ???
...Joey ?  ???

Chandler kissed...
...Monica, because they're husband & wife
...Phoebe, in the episode "The One Where They Find Out"
...Rachel, in the episode "The One With Flashback"
...Ross, in "The One With All The Kiss" ??  ???
...Joey, in "The One With All The Kiss" ??  ???

Phoebe kissed...
...Ross, in the episode "The One With Flashback"
...Rachel, when Winona Ryder was the guest
...Chandler, in the episode "The One Where They Find Out"
...Joey, because she pretended to be Ursula
...Monica ?  ???

Next time, I'll ponder about who fought with whom.  ;D

I can answer one: Giovanni Ribisi was the guy who accidentally placed a condom in Phoebe's guitar case (and went back to retireve it) before he was cast as her brother.

Can't think of the other.

WAAAIIIIT. how did it end? please?

SPOILER

- Phoebe married Mike Hannigan. They got married outside Central Perk and it was snowing hard. Joey was the minister again.

- Rachel had a job offer in Paris. The night before her flight, she and Ross slept together one last time. Rachel said it was the perfect way to say goodbye. Ross was crushed because he wanted to get back together instead. Ross chased her at the airport, drama, drama....love her drama...Rachel said she gotta go.....Ross went back home devastated, there was a message on his machine from Rachel in the plane but it was cut off. Last words by Rachel were: "I have to get off the plane". So Ross screaming at his answering machine, said: "Did she get off the plane??" Tapos andun na si Rachel sa likod niya and said, "I got off the plane"....wheeeee. They kiss and hug. Rachel told Ross this is their last chance, they shouldn't screw up. Ross joked: "Not unless we were on a break". Heheheh. So they're back together.

- Meanwhile, Chandler and Monica are in the hospital, to help the birth mother of the baby they were adopting. The mother gave birth to twins without even knowing she'd have twins (she's like Joey, kinda stupid hehehe! Chandler said to Joey later on - "It's a shame you didn't get to spend time together"). The mother was played by the leading lady in Lost In Translation. My favorite line was when Chandler, realizing they were gonna adopt twins, said (pointing to the "opening"....well sorta heheh) "And that is enough!" or something like that.....Hindi ata yun ang exact words, hehe. They will move to the suburbs (?) pala, a house with a lake ata....

- Joey.....(we're gonna see Joey pa naman, I'm excited about that) He gave Mondler housewarming presents - a chick and a duck. But the chick and the duck got trapped in the fooseball table. Joey and Chandler had to break open that table. :'( Chandler said Joey should keep the chick and the duck, so that he'd have a reason to visit......this was the saddest goodbye among the six of them.

-Finally, they're all in the empty purple apartment, they leave their keys by the counter and went to have one last coffee at Central Perk.

-Oh, the twins are named Erica (from the birth mom) and Jack (from Monica/Ross' Dad)

-And.....the last line was..........uttered by Chandler. Rachel said: "Do you guys have time for coffee?" Then Chandler said: "Where?". It's a bit of trivia because the very very first line of Friends was uttered also by Chandler. ;D

It's the end of an era...... :'(

Joey will take Monica over Rachel anytime, and I couldn't recall too an episode wherein Joey ever kissed Monica.

Did Rachel and Phoebe really kissed? As far as I can remember, it was Rachel who kissed her old classmate (Wynona Rider) to make her remember that they got naughty one time in college.

I think one of them was named Yasmine after Yasmine Bleeth.

ACTUALLY....

In  season 3, episode 23 (The One With a Chick. And a Duck) we learned that Chandler refers to the chick as "Little Yasmine," a reference to Yasmine Bleeth of "Baywatch".  There was no name given for the duck.

In episode season 3, episode 23 (The One With Ross' Thing) Joey and Chandler speculate that if the duck and chick had a baby, they could call it Chuck. Or Dick

Wow, trivia galore!!!!!  ;D Dami!  I'll answer one ---- KEN ADAMS is Joey. It's like his alias with women he goes out on dates with. Ken Adams is a legend with women....forgot lang why.  ;D

Correct guess Ma'am.

Now can you tell me who Helena Handbasket is?  ???

<snip>
These guys appeared in at least three FRIENDS episode playing a single character.

Try to see what Giovanni Ribisi and June Gable were before they became Frank Jr. and Estelle.

Helena Handbasket is Chandler's dad...

Am I right?

Monica kissed...
...Chandler, because they're husband & wife
...Rachel, as implied only, when they took their apartment from Chandler/Joey
...Ross, as implied only, he was Monica's first kiss (Season 10)
...Phoebe ?  ???
...Joey ?  ???

Next time, I'll ponder about who fought with whom.  ;D

Monica kissed...
...Joey ?  ???  on the cheek during a dream sequence in The One with the Cop

YEEEYY!!  ;D :D

When Joey had a birthday party after Janice and Chandler broke up, all her seven sisters showed up. However, when one of them got pregnant, a different actress played the sister ? Who is the actress ?

In the same vein, who was the first actress to play Carol Willick ?

And the two different actors who played Mindy ?

* Mindy - the first one was Jennifer Grey, who I didn't recognize then, because of the facelift heheh.....the second one I don't know her name but she looked dumber than Jennifer Grey's Mindy.  Why did they replace Jennifer Grey?  ???
* Carol - the first one was played by a shorter woman....don't know her name too.

The (gay) men in Phoebe's lives ...

She was once married to an icecapade gay skater ... a very good and charming Steve Zahn .. who eventually found out he was straight and wants to marry another girl.

Phoebe at one time juggled a kindergarten teacher and a firefighter .. both handsome and well built. Two years ago, the guy who played the teacher (openly gay actor in real life) went to Queer As Folk as a regular gay boyfriend/partner with HIV .. this time around as a college professor. And this season, the firefighter had a recurring character as a football closeted bisexual entangled in sex with one of the regular gays.

Then, there was the panty wearing boyfriend ... that made Joey try out panties as well.

Hank Azaria, the scientist  guy she was very infatuated with in the first season was the gay son of a tribe leader and high priestess from Guatemala who wanted to do gay burlesque in Robin William's club called The Birdcage.

And the man she married ... Paul Rudd played a gay man opposite Jennifer Aniston in  The Object of My Affection.

Phoebe needs a gaydar !!!

They're playing it at the wrong speed. Everyone's voice is so high!

Been watching it religiously on Star World (what can I say? I can't get enough of Friends! :D ) I was just thinking the other day (when watching that episode with the hockey puck) how Chandler sounded too high pitched and how his voice has changed in later seasons. I thought it was because he was just younger.  Didn't notice the others. Maybe tonight I will notice it already. ;D Although, I did notice the scenes where they edited it out to fit TV time.

I recently watched Season 7 on DVD, and was amused by the episode where Joey wanted to officiate the Monica-Chandler Wedding, but Monica insisted he be ordained as a minister first via the internet.

So I Googled, and found this: http://www.ulc.net

So you're now talking to Minister Hankey, the Christmas Poo.  ;D

(If you want one with a printable certificate, I think it's at http://www.ulc.org)

Sad to hear that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have now separated.

From http://www.people.com:

"We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate. For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media. This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration," Pitt and Aniston said.

Things did seem a bit loopy when she was promoting the series finale of FRIENDS and he was promoting TROY... both with kind words about each other, but clearly apart during that entire time.

Other factors to consider

1. Anniston not wearing the wedding ring
2. Anniston not into bearing a child (might affect her body shape)
3. Bradd Pitt's Angelina Jolie Factor
4. Paltrow (Pitt's Ex) bear a kid but Pitt was left out only with 4 and a half yr marriage no fruit to it
5. hundreds of millions asset (prenup?)

After Friends, Lisa Kudrow is now making a comeback, with a show for HBO called: THE COMEBACK. ;D She plays an ex-TV star who now has her own reality TV show. Michael Patrick King of Sex and the City is also behind this new show. Yehey for Lisa! :)

-----------

Edited because I just watched Comeback.

Lisa Kudrow is a good actress! I just love her. Her character, Valerie, sobrang kinawawa. Naawa tuloy ako kay Lisa Kudrow. ;D This is actually a good show, better than Joey, a lot better than Joey!

But it's not as good as a show similar to this one, Curb Your Enthusiasm. Mas funny pa rin ang Curb and it's less humiliating to watch a guy get...well, humiliated.

I feel for Lisa Kudrow's character. I wish na naman nandun yung other 5! :( :)

I hope Joey makes a guest appearance on The Comeback.

wow, never heard the middle names of the Gellers before  ;D  do you still know in what season were these revealed?

My problem with those alleged names is, if they were never mentioned on the show, then where did they come from? Is there a book? Did Bright or Kaufman or Crane tell a reporter? Or was it fan-invented and just got passed on so much it became a "fact."

I mean, Google for the "Eustace" and the "Edith." You will not find a single source that can tell you where they came from.

(Sorry... I had no work yesterday, so I was bored enough to search...  ;D)

ETC aired the episode where Danny De Vito played the stripper. Only realized now that the song he was dancing to was Tainted Love (maybe because Rihanna's single is ubiquitous these days). Also, that Meredith Grey played the girl that Chandler and Ross were competing for. Still funny after all these years. Also, Joey's game show stint.  ;D

Dami pla FRIENDS addict dito ha...

Share ko lang some trivias with you.

* The One With Rachel's Crush - This was the first episode in which Joey uses his trademark line "How...you doin'?"

*  The One Where Paul's The Man -  When Joey's trying to get his picture up in the dry cleaners, the owner claims never to have seen Air Force One. The actor playing the owner is Ilia Volokh, and he actually played one of the terrorists in Air Force One.

*  The One Where Ross Meets Elizabeth's Dad  -   Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis starred together in the movie "The Whole Nine Yards". While making the movie, Matthew made a bet with Bruce that the movie would open in the top position at the box office. If it did this (which it consequently did) Bruce had to star in an episode of Friends for no fee.

*  The One After Vegas  -   In the opening credits of "The One After Vegas," all of the cast member's names have "Arquette" attached to them. This is a reference to Courtney Cox's (Monica) long awaited marriage to David Arquette.

*  Jennifer Aniston's actual last name is Anastassakis but her family changed it to Aniston when they moved to the United States. If you watch TOW Chandler and Monica's Wedding, Jennifer's actual last name is used for the Greek couple having their wedding in the episode.

* In Friends, Joey is an actor on Days of our Lives, a program on which Jennifer Aniston's dad John Aniston plays Victor Kiriakis

* Phoebe's twin sister "Ursula" actually existed before Phoebe, as a character in another U.S. sitcom, "Mad About You." In the first part of "The One With Two Parts," the two characters who come into Central Perk, thinking Phoebe is Ursula, are regular characters from that show.

want to share a somewhat expression i got from FRIENDS. from the episode where chandler doesn't want to cuddle with janice when sleeping, then he ended up pushing her out of the bed. he said, looking at the free space in the bed, that a penguin can still fit in with them. so there you go, everytime my wife and i pass on a narrow space, one would say kasya ka pa ba? while the other answers oo naman, kasya pa penguin oh

there are still others, but this is the most used  ;D  to other fans, share urs  ;)

me and my sisters loved the "crap you" version of ross and monica, where one would knock his/her fists together sideways, the fists facing inwards, with dramatic separation for an encore plus the comical facial expression... ;D

@RNIverson
they were licking it off the floor if my memory serves me right...

To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of FRIENDS, they opened a pop-up Central Perk in NY:

Free coffee and a gift shop until it closes again next month!

Just saw the reunion. Sarap ng nostalgia trip pero disappointed ako kasi gusto ko sana reunion scripted episode about what happened to them years later.

Ironically, the ones that opted for cosmetic surgery are the ones that look the oldest.  An exception is Matthew Perry, who is actually the youngest in the group but looked the oldest at the reunion.

Apparently, Perry supposedly had emergency dental surgery the day before (hence, the slurred speech). Many online aren't buying it.

He had severe bouts with alcoholism while Friends was in seasons 3 to 6 and he even admitted that he couldn't remember most of those seasons.  So, of course, there was a lot of speculation online that he was still using, even during the 2 days the reunion was filming. If you watch the interviews with him, he didn't seem to be in the right frame of mind (the one with Entertainment Today is on YouTube).

I certainly hope his demons are behind him.  He is only 51 but he looked much older on tv.

That hit me right in the feels! Man, I remember being a fan of this show when I was in third year high school. I remember kinda feeling ashamed that I liked it because  it's not something that 14 year old boys would normally like. But I Had a huge crush on Jennifer Aniston and I would record episodes on our trusty old betamax. Randa ko pa timeslots into every Wednesday at 830pm sa ABC 5.

Akala ko na-stroke si matthew perry kaya ganun sya magsalita. Sya pa naman favorite ko.

Oo nga, memories of back when ABC 5 was trying to carve its own niche with hit shows like Friends and ER. I remember my dad looking disapprovingly when they aired the lesbian wedding.

Sadly, no guest appearance from Ben, Ross’s son who became a star on Riverdale. No Paul Rudd or Hank Azaria interview either.

What I remember about the ABC5 airings was that they were heavily censored. During the episode where Phoebe cut Monica's hair and made her look like Roddy McDowall in Planet of the Apes, they bleeped out every time the word "God" appeared in "Oh my God!" E tuloy tuloy yun! Puro "Oh my (silent open mouth)!" "Oh my (silent open mouth)!" :D

The reunion really made me feel bad for Matthew Perry.

Sabagay, anything they come up with is never gonna live up to the fans’ expectations, Although the Will and Grace reboot was good.
