Jojo, RMN, everyone--
Pete Lacaba on his egroups is countering AFI's 100 greatest quotes with quotes from Filipino movies. I can think of two, off the top of my head (duh--Nora's line in Bernal's religious epic, and Cherie Gil to Sharon Cuneta in that potboiler melodrama). Any other?
What was the exact words Vilma says to us at the end of Sister Stella L? "Kung hindi tayo, sino? Kung hind ngayon, kelan?" Is that it?
And in Pangarap ng Puso--what did Alex Alano say in the falls--something like "I've got an e(r)ection?"
-
Cherie Gil to Sharon?:
"You're nothing but a second rate, trying hard, copy-cat"?
-
Walang Himalaaaaaaaaaaa...(dont know the ff words na)

Dindo Fernando in T-Bird at Ako: "Palibhasa, sanay kayong kumain ng steak, Caesar salad, mango jubilee.... Nakitman ko na rin yun noong araw."

From KAKABAKABA KA BA?
-
I don't know if this one qualifies for to be one of the greatest quotes in a filipino movie. From the very last scene of the movie BELOVED starring Nora, Hilda, Christopher and the late great Dindo where Hilda is begging to Nora after the crime she commited by killing Dindo.
One word says it all and I even can't type the whole one word!
"Bull****!"
Remember this scene. Very effective!
-
From Laurice Guillen's opus, KUNG MAHAWI MAN ANG ULAP. I've come across two great lines from this movie. I opted to include the whole dialogue on the second scene to see why Hilda deservedly uttered the very last quote. The first one is where Rustan (Christopher) came to see Catherine (Hilda) trying to win her back after Rita (Amy) seduced him:
"Rustan, minsan ka lang masisira sa 'kin, tama na 'yon."
The other one is where Catherine (Hilda) gets her reasonable justice and came back to her rightful place. She came across Rita (Amy) and Chona (Isabel Rivas) in their room and all hell breaks loose. She throw Rita literally out of her house and she bumped her face in the process:
Rita: "Papatayin mo 'ko? Mamamatay tao kang talaga!"
Napakasama ninyo!
Aalis kayo. Sa busali kayo nanggaling. Sa busali kayo babalik."
Truly memorable.
-
It's been said many times before in all of Vilma's Darna movies (?):
"Ding, ang bato!"
-
One of the most outrageous line uttered in this Joey Gosiengfiao camp classic: Temptation Island.
Jennifer Cortez (?) : Mag-alis kayo ng panty kung gusto ninyo but my panty stays right where it is!"
-
Lito Lapid movie:
Lito Lapid: Anung kulay ng tinta ng ballpen?
Goon: Itim
LL: Gagawin nating pula
-
From Paano Bang Mangarap:
"Ibalik n'yo sa 'kin si Jun-Jun! Ibalik n'yo sa 'kin ang anak ko! Ibalik n'yo sa 'kin si Jun-jun! Ibalik n'yo sa 'kin....aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! (and she all fall down....the stairs)
BTW: Jun-jun is the perennial name of Vilma's son in the '80's movies.
-
"Tonight, we make love in the light..." ;D
Eddie Garcia to Mario O'Hara in Tubog sa Ginto
-
How does it go? You're a photographer? So it must be fun to photo.
Does anyone recall the phrase "gatas ng leon" from any movie? I remember hearing it in Giovanni Calvo's AM radio show.
-
This will most probably not be included in the TOP 100 but this one is unforgettable for me. Came from the movie: HANGGANG SAAN, HANGGANG KAILAN (1993). Dina Bonnevie and Alice Dixson's one of several confrontation in the movie wherein Dina is a rich, overbearing owner of a plantation and Alice is one of her half-sister bent on making her mark on the family who didn't acknowledged her and sister Vina Morales. The scene was in a party where Alice shows well-dressed up much to Dina's surprised with then pa hearththrob image Rustom Padilla as her escort.
Lupa!
Alice: Kung ako'y lupa, ikaw ay burak!
-
Lotlot is calling her sister Janice that the baby she claimed due to several miscarriage is actually a Tiyanak. Janice's response was:
"Eh sino ba 'tong dakdak ng dakdak tungkol sa Tiyanak?!"
Coupled with one of the famous tagline in local movie history: "Oh my god! Ang baby ni Janice!" (heard in the trailer while Janice is holding the 'baby' inside the cinema while on the run.) ;D
-
SAGING LANG ANG MAY PUSO!!!!
-Apoy sa Dib dib ng Samar

:D :D :D :D!!! That really cracks me UP!
ay totoo! shouldn't this be given recognition too? specially Mark Lapid's delivery ;D
"OO! Mga saging lang kami! Pero maghanap ka ng puno sa buong Pilipinas! Saging lang ang may pusoo! Saging lang ang may pusoo!"
-
I forgot to ask: was it a character played by Carmi Martin that said the "must be fun to photo" line? I can't remember the title of the movie, though.
"Yes, master!" with the stress on the first syllable of "master," from "Batch '81".
-
Anyone remember the dialogue between Super Mouse and the leader of the Robo-rats?
;D
-
"Masyado ka kasing negatib eh!" - Pen Medina

How come there's no video of this on sale? ;D
-
One my most favorite line in Filipino movies was in GAANO KADALAS ANG MINSAN? Not the oft-mentioned popular line but this:
"What have you got now? Nothing! Wala kang kaibigan. Wala kang anak. Wala ka na ring asawa!"
- Louie (Dindo) to Lily (Hilda) after finding Vilma lifeless giving birth to his son.
The split screen technique were used to great emotional effects.
