Post by: Mr. Hankey on Aug 11, 2005 at 08:47 PM
The cast of Survivor 11 was just announced:

Survivor: Guatemala (CBS) (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor11/)

Does anyone still care?  ;D

Premieres Thursday, September 15, 2005, 8PM ET in the States, so probably Friday, September 16, 2005, 1PM on Studio 23?

There's not a single minority in that line-up.

The girl in pink near the center is actually Hispanic: Lydia Morales.

There are also two SECRET castaways this season. According to The New York Post:

Stephenie LaGrossa and Bobby Jon Drinkard from Survivor: Pulau's ill-fated Ulong tribe will be returning to compete again this season. [/END SPOILER]

Hmm...  ::)

I think they should put an end to this show; I lost interest mid-All Stars and never looked back.

i'm a little disappointed that the live broadcast was pushed back so long because of dubyah's speech ... did studio 23 still air it live? (i stopped waiting when the clock struck 4pm. LOL.)

then they started the "supposed" 8pm primtime airing EARLY! i didn't catch the shows OBB... was steph and BJ included in the roll call??

 :P

Pinalabas ba kagabi ng 8pm yung Primetime Telecast nito, or sa Sunday pa tulad ng previous Survivor episodes?

Kagabi pinalabas.  Survivor shall now be seen every Friday at 1:00PM (satellite feed) and 8:00PM (replay).

For those who missed the first episode--and are still interested--they're showing it before today's "live" episode. Survivor is from 11am to 2pm today. They're showing a Palau episode, not sure which, then episode 1 of the current season, then episode 2.

I wasn't able to watch the Season premier episode last week. I hope that it will be shown also during the primetime telecast tonight.

I think the replay is at 8pm tonight, though I doubt they'll replay episode 1 as well.

Question lang, this gary guy who's supposed to be hiding his "identity" can someone fill me in? I couldn't hear properly because my tv's audio is barely on.

Gary Hogeboom was a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in the 1980s:

He thinks knowledge of this would make him an easy target, so since he hasn't played since the 80s anyway, he decided to just tell his tribe about his current occupation.

It can come back to bite him on the butt when he's called out as a liar in the future by the other team's sportscaster, though.

jamie is playing the strategy card way too early in the game...

then again, i do sense some sexual tension between him and steph. LOL

correct me if i'm wrong... there are two (2) gay guys on steph's tribe?? (rafe and that ivy league fella?)

Biglang namatay itong thread na ito this week. Hmmm, maybe it's because of the ASTRO Podium DVD Sale kahapon (Friday). ;D

Nothing new to add. Just reiterating that I think Lydia really looks like "Mama Solis" from Desperate Housewives:

Just reminding everyone that DST ended in the States last weekend, so if the same thing that's been happening every year happens again this year, the Studio 23 Live Feed will now be at 2:00PM on Fridays starting this week's episode.

Heads up for those setting VCR/DVR timers.  :)

Sikat ba talaga si Steph? Nabanggit na starstruck daw ang mga contenders sa kaniya kaya nahihirapan silang kalabanin si Steph.

This season was a lot better than "The Amazing Race: Family Edition."

Episode 13: December 9, Friday, 2PM, Studio 23

3-Hour Season Finale: December 12, Monday, 2PM, Studio 23

There will probably be a 30-minute (or so) gap between the finale show and the live reunion...  ;D

i think cindy was a good sport... not a spoiled one like judd. (WTF was that "hand pump" for?! was he rooting for cindy to be voted off?? she was the only one who didn't vote for him last week... idjit!)
Title: Re: Survivor: Guatemala

I'm guessing the hand pump was more of a "Yes! I knew it! I knew they'd screw you over next!"

With that in mind, as long as she makes it past the next elimination, I think Danni's the easy winner here. Of the current jurors, Cindy, Judd and Jamie were all screwed over by their alliance (with Lydia, Steph and Rafe), while Bobby Jon and Gary were in an alliance with Danni. In their shoes... who would you vote for?

I'd personally vote for Lydia, just to spite everyone else... she's the non-deserving non-entity this season.  ;D

Judd was so pissed when he was voted off. I think he believes Cindy voted him off, thus the 'hand pump'.

I think the flashback made the hand pump clearer. More like "That's the attitude, girl!"

With that in mind, as long as she makes it past the next elimination, I think Danni's the easy winner here.

Easy guess to make. A very good season for the show, much better than the boring TAR: Family Edition. It's been two good seasons for Survivor, with two deserving winners.

I just wonder how much of the winners' perceived demeanor is due to editing.

Back to Panama again next season. I'm guessing the government makes it easy for them to shoot there, so they keep coming back. Three times na dun.... sana sa Palawan na lang...  :P

if the number of posts here is any indication... people seem to be losing interest. it's getting tpo be formulaic... and twists are part of that.

the ratings are still holding up tho, so people MUST be watching. (just not talking about it like they used to...)

another survivor hottie... i wonder if hugh hefner will giver her a call?  ;)

Based on the teaser trailer for the next season, it seems that there are going to be new twists in the game.
