Ellen's talk show made its local debut recently on the etc 2nd Avenue Channel (channel 53 on SkyCable--the old Pinoy Big Brother live feed channel). Managed to catch it on three consecutive nights, and it's funny, with big-name celebrity guests and even giveaways ala Oprah.
She had Sarah Jessica Parker as guest, plugging her new movie The Family Stone, and the next day she had Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, and Will Ferrell plugging their movie, The Producers. A mystery Snowman who was giving out gifts for the past 12 days was also unmasked, revealing Sean Hayes of Will & Grace.
Try to catch it, it's on weeknights on etc 2nd Avenue.

Yeah, I caught "The Producers" episode. Fun banter. She's like a cross between Oprah and Leno.
I think ETC Second Avenue will remain my "default channel" - a channel you can put in the background while doing other things around the house. I mean, with shows like Ellen, Trading Spouses, Maury Povich and Jerry Springer... it has "guilty pleasure" written all over it. 8)

don't forget lindsay lohan was also on the show... it was the day before sarah jessica parker was on. ;) she and ellen looked like they were flirting with each other. LOL.
i texted people about the new channel (and this show)... and most of them had no clue what i was talking about. LOL.

Ellen has this daily segment where she plays some kind of charades game with her guests--a name is shown to the others, and one of them who don't know what the name was would guess the name based on the clues the others would give.
While playing the game, Matthew Broderick just showed the entire world that he doesn't have a clue who Harry Potter was, causing Nathan Lane to exclaim, "My God!" It was hilarious. ;D

I'm glad to see ETC is no longer on "Test Broadcast." Hopefully this means a few new episodes.
If I see Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker and the cast of The Producers on Ellen one more time, I'll smash my TV! ;D

ETC is showing episodes of Ellen at 8pm, just 1 day after the US airing. Been cross-checking with the show's website and yes, its just 1 day late. Wow! Now i don't have to buy the dvds. ;D ;D ;D

Ellen, the talk show, is being aired on etc 2nd avenue channel 53- sky cable, weekdays 8pm. Not so sure about the time of the replays..the following morning yata. Mrs. James Denton ka pala, Scully!!

I discovered that replays are at 2am (yezzzz, I stayed up early this morning to catch Colin Firth yet again) and 2 pm (mamaya ulit, squeeeeeeeee)

Back to Ellen, is she seeing someone now? Sinetch po ba? Wala lang, curious ako. Natawa ako nung sinabi ni James Denton na he has a thing for Ellen and his wife wouldn't stand a chance daw if Ellen swung the other way. Mweheheh.

I thought Ellen had a thing with Gillian Anderson before (one of my absolute favorite actresses). It's probably too much to hope for to have her appear in the show :P She's not promoting anything except for BBC's Bleak House.
According to her site, Sean Hayes will be on the show on Wednesday. That'll be a hoot. Also, si Jason Mraz din pala. Yay!
