Prison Break is a new crime drama series about an engineer (Wentworth Miller) installs himself in a prison he helped designed in order to help his brother (Dominic Purcell) a death-row inmate who insists he did not commit the crime for which he's been sentenced to die and help him escape.
It premiered tonight on the Crime/Suspense Channel (50) at will be shown every Tuesdays at 10:00 pm

Saturday I was out (thanks for the text, reuven!). Sunday I was too sleepy --- stayed until 230 am to catch the RBS 6 Nations game hoping it was the France vs. Italy one but got Scotland vs. England instead. Then woke up at 9am to catch the former's game (The Bleus won! Yay!) and zonked out after it. Demmit.
I think I'll just wait for the dvds to come out. Haay.

Three more episodes before the season ends! The show is competing with 24 in becoming more and more outrageous yet infectiously entertaining. Nice to see Holly Valance again in the latest episode. ;D She's more alluring than Dr. Sara, IMHO.

****BLATANT SPOILERS BELOW***
I have been putting off watching this show because like somebody else said, the premise is just too implausible to be taken seriously. I initially thought that for the series to work, it would feature subsequent seasons would just feature them allllmost escaping. Which would be completely gay. Fortunately, the last few episodes indicate that they may actually break out of the prison by the end of the season.
I'm now halfway through the first season and I am loving every contrived moment of it. And from what I've read, future seasons would show them tracking those who were responsible in putting them in prison in the first place.
Ironically, the least developed character in the show for me is the older brother. Until now, I still don't know why he had been living a life that is completly different from his younger brother's.

Started watching this....its addicting too...a great watch (while waiting for Grey's season 3). ;D ;D saw some actors that were also in some TV series... Lincoln's ex-wife (Jessalyn Gilsig) is also in Nip/Tuck, playing Gina while Haywire is a recurring guest in My Name Is Earl, coincidently both playing as a crazy prisoner... ;D ;D Peter Stormare is simply great!!

I love thjis show also... since I work nights, I can only catch during the Saturday 9PM replay which is also the replay time of Lost... I end up watching just bits and pieces of both shows... :P :P but I do watch more of this especially when the wifey is around... she pretends she doesn't but she has a crush on Wentworth Miller... keeps asking me if the tattoos are real... ;D ;D

That twist totally caught me off guard. I never would have seen them doing that so early in Season 2. But if you really think about it, it was the logical choice. That thing they "lost" really has no more purpose as far as the storyline is concerned, and had they kept it on, it would have just been another subplot to maintain that they didn't need.

Yeah, it surprised me too. The challenge now is keeping all the different story lines interesting. I must say that William Fichtner is an excellent addition to the show. Can't wait till next week...

A few comments on Episode One of Season Two:
1. I wish they'd stop crediting Stormare as a "guest star," because that means that he won't be on the show on a regular basis. Dead soon, perhaps? Captured? Goddammit. Unless they're trying to throw us off again.
2. I'm also itching to know as to what's happened to Haywire and Tweener. Six more days and hopefully we'll find out.
3. There's also the LJ factor; I'm surprised as to why he wasn't brought up. Linc and Michael were talking about Utah and Panama, but forgot that their son/nephew is IN JAIL, wtf.

The season premiere seems to be channeling Thomas Harris. The penultimate scene echoed that of The Silence of the Lambs' (same gimmick of another serial drama, Runaway) and Bill Fichtner's character reminded me of Will Graham from Red Dragon. I'm still on this bandwagon! Can't say the same for Fox's other serial drama, Vanished. It didn't help earn this viewer's interest.

Stupid Lincoln and his stupid appeal to the female species. If he hadn't exchanged nods with that lady, all would have been dandy. It was an eventful episode, yet it wasn't all that interesting either, considering they didn't make any progress AT ALL. The writers were probably like "For this episode, everyone will have poop on their faces. That is all."

Well you're right. That was a whole lot of nothin. This episode was just MEH for me. I MEH'ed through it so much that people thought there was a goat in my room; which was no big deal really. They just assumed it was a good Friday night for me and went on their merry way.
Bit of a let down from last week's episode really. I just hope that they're just using this episode to setup something that'll happen next week. Otherwise, there'll be another goat in my room next week.

Why did Abruzzi, C-Note, and Sucre parted ways so easily with Scoffield and Lincoln when each one of them know about the $5M hidden in Utah?

Now this episode is more like it. This more than made up for last week's episode. Not only is it crotch punchingly awesome, it also gives us the assurance that the saucy doctor will be featured more prominently in futue episodes.
I can't wait for next week's episode. My balls are dry with anticipation.

MAN ALIVE! I'm really tempted to edit that "I'd Hit It!" List of mine over at the other forum, Phobemiester.
And I agree, this episode was TEH WOOT! TEH F***ING WOOT, I TELLS YA!!! Although I'd really be more than happy if we found out what Linc and Michael are up to right frickin' now. Are they going to Panama? Are they going to rescue LJ? Are they going to Mexico? Are they headed for Utah? Seems like the last one is what they're intending, but we're three episodes in and only God a.k.a Forrest Whitaker knows what's brewing in those dudes' heads. Also, the world needs more HAYWIRE.
Also, it appears that Heroes will be airing on Monday nights, as well. DAMMIT. It might be too much for my crap-ass PC.

But if this were the last time we ever get to see Russian chick, at least we got a better look at the goods. Though I have hella better photos of hers from a guest stint on Entourage. And that clip from the upcoming Dead or Alive movie, where she beats up a couple of dudes sans her clothes (with certain parts of her anatomy inconviniently covered of course). [/spoilers]

I guess the title of the episode was kind of spoilery in itself and I just knew it would be one of two guys who'll get it.
Anyway, for a minute there, I thought this episode would suck; but they managed to end with a real high note.
And who the hell is Oscar Shales?
And am I the only one who thinks that Robert Knepper is the best actor in the show?
Haywire makes an appearance in the next episode by the way.

Now that Stormare is gone, I'm going to have to agree with you with regard to Knepper being the best actor on the show.
I thought that the slow-mo death of Abruzzi was really lame, but the moments leading up the shooting was intense, you know, the Fichtner/Stormare faceoff [/spoiler]. And I thought to myself that this show could have used/should use the services of Steve Buscemi, whom I also associate acting-wise with those two. He just seems like a perfect fit for the feel of Prison Break.
As for Oscar Shales, I have this theory that [could be a potential spoiler if I'm right] maybe Scofield will take the identity of Shales? Because of that alternate-photo-flash thing that they did? I also think that "bol shol booze" has something to do with Shales. [/potential spoiler]

My sister has out fanboied you. She told me that Oscar Shales was another escaped convict in Mahoney's past that he wasn't able to catch. But I think that there's more to it than that.

A relatively bland episode this. No excitementing new development, no big revelations, and no thong shots.
But it did feature a spectacular kicking of Tweener's butt, and that's always fun.

Tweener is a character that confuses the heck out of me. All the rest of the "Fox River 8" I got down pat. But Tweener is a mystery.
I'm still not sure whether we're supposed to hate him or sympathize with him. Hating him is no big chore since he's a ginormously annoying rat bastard. However, the past two episodes have been somewhat sympathetic to him which throws me in for a loop.
And disappointing as it may be, I'm starting to accept that Oscar Shales may be nothing more than Mahoney's Rollo Tomasi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollo_tomasi).
Since I've got nothing else to say about this MEHpisode, I'll leave you with my favorite actor in the show:

I actually liked the episode. I've always liked Tweener's character. Must be because I love things that people hate. Like abortions and cancer and the Holocaust and people like Tweener. Because I'm non-conformist like dat, yo.
What happens to Bellick now? Shouldn't he and Geary be starving to death in an abandoned house somewhere? And why is Sucre's cousin such a huge douchemaster? And how come Burrows', Scofield's, Sucre's and C-Note's heads never grow hair anymore? And I thought Haywire was supposed to make an appearance? You sit on a throne of lies!!!

This is the typical Prison Break episode wherein practically nothing happens, but when something does almost happen, us fans just eat it up.
Somebody once told me that they feel the show has two sets of writers working to stump each other with their impossible twists:
Writers Team A: “…now the Fox River 8 are going to find the buried treasure so they can escape the country!”
Writers Team B: “Think again, we just built a whole subdivision over your buried treasure! Take that Suckers!”
Writers Team A: “Oh yeah? Well we’re gonna make Scofield and the guys know exactly under which house it’s buried by just looking at a couple of trees!”
Writers Team B: “SONOFAb**ch! Well, we’re going to send the cops after them, and they’ll have nowhere to go. What are you gonna do now, huh?”
Writers Team A: “I’m not telling you until next week! SUCK MY TWIST!”
I imagine everyday at the office is an adventure.

Just started watching a marathon of Season 1 of this and it is indeed addicting. Just finished 9 episodes. Kinda strange though that lots of people are getting killed to save Lincoln's life... would have been better if he was left to die? Hehe...Joke.
Also, it seems to have a very interesting premise: a lady Vice President having someone killed and covering it up, so she could steal $500 million from government to use as campaign funds in running for President?? Hmmm... I wonder if Ping Lacson and company had a hand in the plot? ;D

Just finished watching episode 9 of Season 2... and if some people are starting to get frustrated with soaps that the story is becoming so slow, wait til you see this one: it's back to square one all over again. Everything which happened from the start of Season 1 just went down the drain...

I don't think that it'll be back to square one after episode 9... I've seen some photos from episode 10 (Can't remember what site I saw them from so I really can't share the link), and there's a picture of Linc and LJ with Linc and Michael's dad, so I'm guessing that he'll have a hand in getting those two out of trouble from the authorities so there will be no need for "Prison Break 2"...

Me too. I'm really happy they're bringing back the whole conspiracy arc. Without it, it's just a show about guys running from the cops.
And I read somewhere that there was a danger of the conspiracy arc not being brought back at all since the actors playing the president and her brothers have already committed to doing other shows. But I think they finally worked around that small bump.

I agree with everyone, the episode 13 was good.
By the way, did you guys notice this....
on episode 11 Scoffield was obviously unshaven, but on episode 12, those facial hair was trimmed all of a sudden, and his face was a little bit clean compared to the previous episode... considering the fact that it happened all on 1 scene... heheh... just check it out.

That was probably the lamest season finale in TV history.
Writers: "Hey, remember that big ole conspiracy we have our heroes working against? Well guess what? It's just going to resolve itself with no help from the boys whatsoever. Also, since we're greedy, we're going to make the boys face off against The Company in a totally contrived way."

I heard it was originally made for 2 seasons only (thus explaining Linc's exoneration at the end of season 2). But the writers took advantage of its success (yes, in Phobos' words: greedy!) that they had to make another one.

I hope his escape plan works, cause it's too much SONA already. I don't want to see another prison break for a full season. Then once outside, the next episodes should be about the brothers bringing down the company. Then end it there, please.

Well, Linc wants LJ out first ;D He doesn't want to risk Scofield having breakdown inside SONA. But even after knowing the bad news, he'll still continue with the plan. He also loves his nephew, not just the girl.

I'm beginning to lose interest in watching this latest season. It seems that they've already exhausted all ideas/concept to make this series more interesting.

Vamonos episode was at least interesting.
- Lechero joining the escape plan. I've always liked it when their group grew bigger. I just hope they don't end this season like the first one.
- Mahone out of prison. Now maybe we'll have a subplot not directly related to SONA or the escape.
- Revelation on James Whistler. Pretty stupid talking to Susan on public though.
But of course, these were all done in Season 1 and I still think they should've ended the series in Season 2 :P

The only thing certain is that this is their first full season to go after The Company once and for all. So they might need some sort of grace period. ;D ;D

One of the best suggested series finale I've read was a crossover with 24, where in the end credits Scofield and Burrows talk about a plan to help a friend in China ;)
That way it will only have 2 solid seasons, and it might also save 24 Season 6 ::) Win-win situation ;D ;D ;D

i was a HUGE fan of prison break esp season 1. season 2 was kinda ok since they were on a run. but things got bonkers with season 3-ended up in another prison just to justify their title. and here comes season 4... what can i say? it looks like a rehash of a movie plot where you hire ex-cons to do a dirty job. c'mon guys, this series is getting weaker and weaker every time. it's time to escape from it's clutches!

Even though it looks more Mission Impossible now than Prison Break, I actually like this show better now than Heroes. Also thought it was a good finale, ending the season at Episode 13. Too bad they had to extend it. But at least this season should only have 16 episodes, so 4 episodes to go!

I heard that Fox ordered an extra double-length episode after the end of this season. Some thing like 24 - Redemption. But some says it's meant to tie the loose ends and probably end the series...
I agree that layo na talaga sa pinangalingan... but this season is better than Season 2 or 3.

This will be the final season of "Prison Break."
Fox will shift the show to Fridays this spring for its final run of episodes, taking over for "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" once the sci-fi drama finishes its run. "Prison" will air Friday nights at 8 p.m. starting April 17.
Fox will also seat its Mitch Hurwitz animated comedy "Sit Down, Shut Up" on April 19, filling in the "King of the Hill" slot on Sundays at 8:30 p.m. after "The Simpsons." "Sit Down" will take over after "King" has its series finale.
The announcements were made Tuesday morning at Fox's executive session at the Television Critics Assn. winter press tour.

It's about time, na rin, I think many TV Series overstayed it's welcome by adding twist and turns that only diminishes the quality of the show. Imagine what Prison Break could have been if it ended the show after its first season (with maybe an extra coda about the brothers safe in the carribean - something akin to Shawshank Redemption's ending). It could have been hailed as one of the best TV Series for years to come...
If there's any consolation it's that it recovers somewhat this season. The guessing game is now how will it end... Will Scofield/Burrows breaks from their 'prison', will they be killed, or like the Sopranos it will be left for the viewers to speculate...

This is a straight to DVD movie of what happened between the 4 years they skipped over on the series finale. It will show Sarah and Michael's wedding, what happened to Gretchen and so forth. This will wrap up any questions and/or loose ends they left us with at the finale.

The Final Break is out. But only in SD. For our HD friends out there (you know who you are :)) it will air in Sky1 HD in 2 days and should be available then.
A woman, framed by a secretive government agency known as the Company, is sent to a Panamanian prison to serve a life sentence. Once behind bars, the same organization contacts her with personal information that causes her to hatch an escape plan.
Some information if youre confused:
Episode 22 was indeed the series finale of this show. However, two bonus episodes were produced, and FOX decided not to air them.
These episodes take place after most of the events in E22, but before the 4 years later time jump.
The episodes were converted to a standalone prequel movie, titled Prison Break: The Final Break.
(This is also scheduled to be released seperately on DVD & Blu-ray on July 21 in the US)

Yung The Final Break is the same as episodes 23 and 24. Sa ibang countries kasi wala na 23 and 24, it went straight into DVD as a movie (The FInal Break).
I just can't believe they pulled a stunt like that (another one!?) in the final series episode/s. But I have to admit that I liked it especially how you can link it to Ep 22.

“Prison Break” is officially returning to TV with an event series on Fox. Original stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will reprise their roles as brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows, though no premiere date has been set.
The “Prison Break” revival was announced Friday at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif., by co-chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group, Dana Walden and Gary Newman.
Based on the 2005 series, which ran four seasons, the original producing team Paul T. Scheuring, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead will return as exec producers with Scheuring writing and serving as showrunner.

Pero this is interesting. I'm surprised that Inbar Lavi is here pala. She stars sa Imposters (pretty fun comedy/crime series). She definitely looks waaay better in that series though kasi naayusan.

Wentworth Miller Reveals He Won’t Return for More Prison Break
It’s been three years since we last saw the core cast of Fox’s hit action crime thriller Prison Break returned for the latest chapter in Michael Scofield’s journey and after on-and-off talk about possibly continuing the series with a sixth season, chances are it won’t happen now as star Wentworth Miller has revealed in an Instagram post that he won’t return to the series.
In the post, Miller outright states he is “out. Of PB. Officially,” elaborating that the decision stems from the fact that he doesn’t “want to play straight characters” anymore as “their stories have been told (and told),” though doesn’t shade any negative light on the series and expressing that “if you were a fan of the show, hoping for additional seasons…I understand this is disappointing. I’m sorry.”
Miller’s onscreen brother, Dominic Purcell, with who he also worked with in the Arrowverse, commented his support for Miller’s decision on his post.
“It was fun mate. What a ride it was,” Purcell wrote. “Fully support and understand your reasoning. Glad you have made this decision for you health and your truth. Keep the posts coming. …. love ya brother.”
In addition, Sarah Wayne Callies, who portrays Michael’s love interest Sara, took to Instagram in her own post to share her support for Miller’s decision, writing “yesterday @wentworthmiller announced he’s done playing michael scofield because as a gay man he wants to focus on playing gay characters. with gratitude for all the work we did together, & with deep love, i’m voicing my support for that choice. to all the fans, know this: the cast of prison break is a queer friendly space. we stand with – and among – our friends & family in the LGBTQ+ community with full throated support for their rights and artistic work. all the time. always. and if that’s a problem for anyone, to quote a good man, ‘that’s your work.'”
