Hey Anali, sorry I took this long to get here. Thanks for inviting me.

Phoebus = Dave?

Tried placing my DVD collection online, but:

a) DVDTracker became a pay system, so I stopped using it;

b) DVD Profiler apparently only provides a Windows version of its client software, so we Mac users hate their guts; and

c) DVD Aficionado's Java-enhanced front-end consistently crashes my OS X-native copies of MSIE 5 Preview and iCab. Will try OmniWeb next time.

Any other suggestions? Preferably a Mac-friendly service?

So...pending the publication of my list, I have about 80 titles. Recent adds include The Sopranos 1st season, X-Files season 2, Dr. Strangelove, This Is Spinal Tap and Princess Mononoke.

Seems like there's a shortage of MAC-friendly DVD catalogs out there, but I'll keep an eye out for you. Anyway, there's always Pen and Paper. :D

As Phoebus helpfully pointed out, Dave's handle is Firewired, probably the only other member on this forum (aside from you) who really and truly uses a Mac (not me -- I'm considered a traitor to the Mac cause, regrettably). Its Ok now...The Adult titles are only a few. Testing pa lang...marami kasi eh...hirap pumili ;D

Debbie Does Dallas is a new one...I couldn't get the first movie dahil either sold out or out of stock..same as Deepthroat and Devil in Miss Jones.

I'm currently assigned in Zurich, Switzerland on a project kaya may way ako para makabili. I go home every 3 months..so nasa bahay lahat ang DVDs ko. Hanggat panay pa ang balik ko...sige pa rin ang bili ko...Yung set up ko nadyan sa bahay...may extra player ako dito na ginagamit :D

I'm actually thinking about remaking my excel list. That way I can track who's borrowed my DVDs (DVD Aficionado doesn't do that, unfortunately :()

Hi viper!

DVD Aficionado is the only online tracker I've tried and am currently using.

It was quite easy for me to post my titles as all I had to do was copy the titles from my MS Access file and paste on to DVD Aficionado's add titles to my collection feature.

My collection got posted right away with the exception of the few mispelled titles from my MS Access file which I had to correct. Adding new titles is also as easy. There is less information on the DVD - only the image, price and director are shown, unlike the other trackers which show a lot more data, but I find it sufficient.

The site is almost always up and profuse apologies are posted if they are down or expect to be.

So far so good. Hope this helps! ;D

most of them where already encoded with DD5.1 pero some of them was stereo lalo na yung mga old movies, even the early release of criterion dvd's...where only in mono or stereo...kasi daw they wanted to preserve how the movie was originally shown and heard in theaters :)

naku miss diver, di naman po accurate ang total price or value ng collection ko as posted, it's the website that assigned prices to individual titles or box sets, msrp ata ang ginamit ::).....di lang nila alam i bought most of my DVDs at bargain prices, some are pre-owned or unsealed pa nga, hehehe ;D

I haven't been updating my online collection records for the past 15 months and it seems I have accumulated more than a hundred titles since then. Unti unti, matatapos ko rin. Marami na rin kasi akong local titles and I have difficulty uploading those to the site.

You should see Yellow Submarine, it's funny and I like the animation and how the musical numbers are presented, I am still looking for A Hard Day's Night though. ;)

Thanks sir, but still small compared to the real collector's here. I think I saw some copies of Basic Instinct being sold a few months back.
