Title: US Open 2006 (golf) in ESPN
Post by: Munskie on Jun 15, 2006 at 11:35 PM
I'm staying up late to watch Tiger's return to competitive golf after a nine week lay-off.  Coincidently, it will be Father's Day on Sunday, and how it would be fitting if Tiger wins.

What are your thoughts and predictions?  ;D ;D

hahaha....don't ask...nung palagi ako naglalaro i wasn't able to break 90,.....naglalaro ka paba?  laro tayo kahit sa marina lang....

btw, Tiger ain't rustproof.  Shot a 76 in the First round.  Monty was the only one to break par....with Lefty Mickelson lurking at even par. ;D ;D

Kim, hanapin mo clubs mo, and lets do some practice at the range....

Nasty Cut!!!  Tiger won't be playing over the weekend after missing the cut of a major for the first time in his pro career.  I'll let him pass on this one after a nine week lay-off.

Major boo-boo for Lefty Mickelson....if he had played conservatively in the final hole, he could have won the  US Open.  Instead, the US Open was won in the clubhouse with that double-bogey of Lefty in the final hole.  Sayang, sana we're talking about a Mickelson Slam now...instead Geoff Ogilvy, an Australian, broke his current major streak.

Still rusty and grieving a bit.

Have read espn and cnnsi, lots of Phil bashing once again....I hope this doesn't destroy him.  They consider it as one of the most embarassing collapse in Major Championship golf history....even worse than Frenchman Jean Van de Velde's collapse in 1999 British Open, triple bogeying the final hole and losing in the play-off.

Well Lefty just won the last 2 preceding majors so the guy should be given a break by the sports writers, I think. Let's not forget the the 1996 Masters when Greg Norman came into the final round with a 4-stroke lead and lost by 5 strokes to Nick Faldo. Now that's a meltdown. Phil Mickelson tends to get really aggressive when he's in lead on the last day -  sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.  :) :)

Nick Faldo, quipped one of the classiest moments in Sports, whispering to Greg "Don't let them get you over this".
