Title: How low can you go? DVDs you got at bargain prices
Post by: ßartmaniac on Dec 17, 2001 at 10:59 PM: Question 1: What's the lowest price you paid for a particular DVD in your collection? (please specify if brand new or 2nd hand)

Question 2: Where did you get this DVD bargain?

Needless to say, we should disqualify pirated DVDs from this poll/survey ;)

Post by: trekker on Dec 18, 2001 at 04:45 AM: Galaxy Quest, R1, at P400. The owner of Movie Depot Katipunan was moving her old stuff to get new ones in. GQ had been stuck on the shelves for the longest time. That's why she lowered her price. No second thoughts for me; it's one of my fave movies!

Post by: bently on Dec 18, 2001 at 10:48 AM: bestbuy.com had a misprice on the substitute 1 & 3 dvd for $0.02 (2 cents) so i ordered 50 copies for a total of $1.
had it delivered overnight for $20 more...got the 50 dvds the next day...so total average per dvd was around 42 cents (21 pesos) :D...
i feel knda sorry for them... :-[
but a lot of my freinds where very happy since i just gave this dvd's away... ;D

it was just a single order, this was posted on a bargain forum and a lot of people got in the deal...in fact some of them even ordered 100 to 1,000 copies. amazon did catch-up and corrected their mis-price, and honored the orders but with a condition of only one copy per household...and everybody was happy. :D

Then, discovered that they were selling the same titles at Astro for P500.00. Duhh! :P

Extreme DVD 4-Pack consist of Spawn, Dumb and Dumber, Mortal Kombat and The Long Kiss Goodnight. I paid $18 for the boxset plus $2.49 shipping the retail value of this pack was at $85 back then. They had a couple of mispricing incident like the Tom Cruise action pack and Let Li action pack which was also mispriced at $18 their retail value then was around $70 so i both ordered 2 copies of them but unfortunately amazon had discovered it so they sent email for all those who ordered the said titles and change the price to the correct value, i just cancelled my order coz i thought it a'int a bargain no more. The incident made headline on some DVD website if i recall. Try visiting their site often, who knows it might be your lucky day! ;)

I was in on this deal too. But I think the cheapest DVD I got is the Killer Criterion, which I paid for $25, but sold for lots more. ;)

Yes Dude, right timing last weekend, if you wonder why I bought FOTR only(on the attached receipt)... well I bought All Three, but the technique (since FRY's only requires one purchase per cashier visit, I have to go exit then enter to get the remaining sequels at its lowest price)

When it comes to buying dvds at very low prices, you can't go wrong on every sale at AstroPlus.

Dude, much more hurt to those whose nearby Target stores NOT carrying the error fiasco.

On my end, there were only 2 stores out of 5 Ive been at that carries the ERROR pricing

Even I blew up my sentiments as the Band of Brothers are all in regular price in the stores where I've been at

Some more stocks that I did not Replinesh yet.. Plan to sell all until next week, while the rest is planned for giftgiving
