The Closer's Kyra Sedgwick, a Study in Nuance (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/10/arts/television/10clos.html?ex=1310184000&en=2381b8f870143231&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss)
I was attracted to the series because of Kyra but later on, the ensemble (especially Lt. Provenza) made me hooked on the show. The crime-mysteries are usually blah but the characters are very engaging. The Screen Actors Guild was right on in citing the ensemble recently.
