If you're free this weekend, the legendary November Hi-Fi Show will be in full swing at the 6F of the Mandarin Oriental in Makati. Admission is FREE and an all-day shuttle service to and from Ayala Museum / GB4 will be available every 15 minutes on Saturday and Sunday.
Visit PinoyDVD.biz at Room 620 and check out the selected box sets and new releases for sale. No word on discounts yet but get a chance to see the Ultimate Superman CE box which is up for pre-order until Nov 12.
For those of you whose accounts have yet to be approved for credit cards, drop by the room and PinoyDVD personnel will be there to do on-the-spot validation so you can start shopping immediately.

Yup, as per Randy, cash and credit card transactions will be accepted. The credit card validations are for members who intend to shop online eventually using that particular payment method.
For the Superman sets, no payments can be accepted yet unfortunately.

I talked to firewired again and explained to him that we have reconsidered in accepting payments during the show. :) Since we now have the bank deposit option, payments for Superman are now accepted during the Hi Fi Show at Mandarin Hotel. Just note the following:
-No copy will be released during the show (we will not have any releasing copy to start with) ;D
-Only cash payments are accepted (Shipping cost will be added)
-You will have to checkout from the online store with the Bank Deposit option on November 13 or 14, 2006. .Biz will subsequently change status from "pending" to "payment successful"
-Your Superman copy will be shipped to you on the day you checkout from the online store (assuming your checkout is before 4:00 PM)

Oh, and I assume you are there right now at Mandarin? Sorry if slightly OT, but any other good stuff to see there in the show from other exhibitors? Meron bang PS3 preview? ;)

Likewise nerveblocker and clea and thanks as well to all members who dropped by. It's been such a very busy day. I'm looking forward to another busy day tomorrow. The Ultimate Superman Collector's Edition Display copy arrived late. But this will definitely be available for viewing tomorrow for those who'd like to check it out. In terms of packaging, looks pretty impressive (or baka its just me ;D).
Sorry lord_vader but didn't get the chance to check out the other rooms yet, maybe tomorrow. Regarding the titles, I don't have the list. But as far as I can remember, we have like 40 Magna titles and 80 Warner titles (mostly box sets). See you there! ;)

Nice seeing you too clea and nerveblocker. Quite a number of members dropped in yesterday so it was a busy day at the PinoyDVD area. We're located in Room 620, the one with a giant Superman standee watching guard, so you can't miss us.
Walked around a couple of times to check out the other stores and as usual, I can't afford the gear I want.
What's interesting: Optoma launched the MovieTime projector with the built-in DVD player and speakers which is definitely not an HT replacement but great for lugging around on trips or turning any space into an instant viewing room.
Overall, this year's show feels more intimate since we're all on one floor. If you've got a couple of hours to kill, you won't regret it. And if you really feel the need to buy something but don't have the cash to burn, why not settle for a DVD? ;D
Btw, the Ultimate Superman set is GORGEOUS. I think it's the best looking non-Korean Region 3 set I've ever seen. The tin can and inner lenticular slipcase are both very elegantly done. The digi-pack disc holders are bound together ala Aliens Quadrilogy R3 so it's easy to flip through all 13 discs. Php3250 may seem expensive but if you do the math, that's just Php250 per disc. Pretty good value IMHO.

For those who would be using the shuttle from Ayala Museum (Near Greenbelt 4), you should wait for it by the side of Ayala Museum and not the front, it's a black van with 'November HI-FI' posted on the side :D
I think there are two vans going back and forth :D

Frootloops, I went there around 4PM yesterday. Mga what time po kayo nandun? ;)
Si randyv nasa laptop usually, nung nandun ako firewired was roaming around talking to everyone ;D
They were all very friendly and helpful both in person and kahit when you email them asking questions ;D

not really much into dvds lately, but i would have to agree with firewired. the superman ultimate set is very nice. while admiring the set, i was asking firewired if there was a possiblity of having one more disc be added since 13 is considered unlucky by some folks. ;D

I dropped by with my wife yesterday, finally met randyv and firewired. They are sooo cool and very nice. Thanks for everything. More power to pinoydvd.biz, By the way saw the Superman Ultimate edition there, Wow its sooooo beauuuutiful Im glad I ordered one. Maybe because its just me I always just order regular dvds and boxsets. First time with this kind of packaging I will get to own.. To me its a must have for all avid dvd fans
